Abhishek bhai aka Zzing bhai - A man with strong emotions but a soft heart. If there is something that you are not able to understand, he is the guy whom to reach. Always helpful and supportive.

Xing Bhai. The most knowledgeable person in the domain of Finance and real life. His passion in teaching others has been remarkable. So many times I have found pieces of paper in my room in which Xing Bhai had explained some complex FinFunda. He had so much patience in explaining things. His devotion for Damodaran is next only to God. He has watched all his videos and that too with such sincerity that he has his teachings on the tip of his fingers.
He has been a mentor to so many people (including me) in investing in the stock market. His room in the first year was literally a “Dharamshaala” where people came and left on their own and he was the happiest person to entertain any and every doubt any time before the exam. I have never seen a person so clear in his fundamentals.
Xing bhai, as popularly referred has been a friend and guide for me. An ardent follower of Damodaran and even remember the slides on which a particular concept has been explained. Best thing about him is that he loves to share the knowledge with anyone interested. He has also taught me the baisc stuffs of stock market and different tools. A very sincere, hard working and committed person who believes in no-nonsense activities.
Lot many a times, I hear this proverb that you should never judge a book by its cover. Same goes in the case of Abhishek Bhai, the man with a tough outlook that reflects the true Thakkur character but beneath this veneer of his hard outlook there is such a mellow-hearted person that would shy the gentleness of little kid. However, busy he would be with his own personal work this Guy never shrugged the responsibility of helping his fellow batch-mates for their exams. Never did I saw him being rude with others in case of the 'Finance-Shaastraas' that used to happen every now and then in his room. He would behave in such a composed manner when confronted with the silliest of the queries that I would wonder that definitely now he would fume in anger and slam the person in front of him, shorter by 1 foot. But never did such a situation occur and he would very calmy handle the situation. Really a no-nonsense person and always engaged in constructive activites. He has always been sincere with everything he would work on and strived for perfection. I think this is a rare mix of hard-work and intelligence. May be he is a product from God's own factory with full compliance towards 6-sigma.
First things, about the origin of his name. He pronounced "Sigma" as "Zigma" one day and then we decided to make " Singh" to "Zing" and it has stuck.
Extremely knowledgeable , this is one guy who will help you out no matter what. One of the most unselfish people i've ever come across. He is sure to make a big investor among the likes of Buffett and Jhunjhunwala, one day.

Fin enthusiast, possesses an ardent love for Operations and is selfless by nature. So selfless that he wouldn't care about his studies and will go out of his way to help his fellow mates pass in exams :) When he is seen in the TT room he is either defeating the opponents with his awesome TT skills or watching Badminton, Tennis or Cricket matches (games he’s really passionate about)! He has a sugary heart within a tough looking outer shell. Always ready to lend a helping hand, hardworking, passionate about things he likes and a caring brother and a gentleman in true sense! Abhishek Bhai is an ultimate combination of hardworking and intelligent person. He is SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for many people regarding finance & stats doubts. I still remember first year days, when we used to have mini-sessions on finance & statistics in B-8.
He has a deep love for finance (esp Damodaran lectures) and investing. Sometimes, I was surprised to see the dedication with which he used to watch lectures of damodaran. Though he has close to four years of workex, his passion towards finance/operation is remarkable.
Though at times he gets angry, but he is very soft spoken and caring person. I feel privileged to have friends like him.
There are very few people in our batch who are respected by everyone. You definitely are one of them whom every person in the batch looks upto. Before meeting you I hadn't met as sincere and helpful a soul as you. Abhisek Bhai is one of my very good friends in the campus. He has been a friend, philosopher and guide. Our fin guru and make no mistake even Rajat Sethia also admits that. He is a big fan of Aswath Damodaran and loves watching his videos in his free time..:P and loves playing around with stocks.( can never forget his jet airways stock tips) We all think he is an angry man, but that's not entirely true. He has his own way of doing things, loves to get up early. One of the guys who is very particular in reaching the class on time.

Abhishek, or Zing Bhai for our class has always been a silent witness to the madness in our section. He always seemed to be calm and composed until the day I saw/heard him play TT. It was then that I really thought calling him Zing was justified! Apart from that, his CP and presentations have always been in sync with that of an O-some group member. Am sure that given the combination of his composure and zest, he will have a great future and even greater fun. All the best!
Abhishek was the last person to register for the course and the hostels and I became lucky to have him as my roommate .A very caring person and the one who ensured for 2 yrs that I wake up for the 9am classes. Unlike the perception of many, he hardly studies the class/course stuffs; he will read anything which excites him and read everything related to it. A lot has already been written about his fin, stats expertise but his ability to remember stuff is beyond comparison, once he has read something, he can explain the concept months later. He is big fan of old Hindi movie songs and good cinema and is a champion in at least six-seven sports. He has his opinion and he never hesitates to put them across, at times many believe he is angry but over the last two years it’s hardly one or two occasion where he has really been angry.
One of the best person I know and definitely the best roomie I will ever have....I will always cherish our B8 memories...
Fate had it, I was the second last person to register and Zing bhai the last; so even though his name starts with 'A' he got the last roll number. Because of that wonderful day I have passed my subjects as Zing bhai used to sit right next to me in exams. Zing Bhai is one of the most selfless persons who has helped everyone as and when required.In first year his room always used to be full of people doing bakar on random subjects. But very helpful and decent guy and a great friend.
Abhishek bhai is one of the most patient people i have ever come across. His knowledge and urge to keep learning is admirable. A go-getter by nature, he is a combo of being fun at times and serious when required. One has to see his collection of old hindi songs and movies to believe how much fun he can be.I remember all the times when 15 odd people used to be huddled in his room during exams but he never once shouted or lost his temper. On the other hand, he was always ready to help people even if that meant that his studying was put on hold. I wish all the very best and hope for a wonderful life for you.
My one of the best frnd in IIMS campus. He is a genius who has a good taste for music and sports as well. You can approach to this guy for any kind of help be it CFA registration, railway/flight tkt booking or Quant/Excel/Finance problems. I still remember the day when in fit of anger, he tore down Fin-2 answer sheet in front of faculty. He has a peculiar style of explaining the things..."la copy pen de..samjhata hu"..

ReplyDeleteMy one of the best frnd in IIMS campus. He is a genius who has a good taste for music and sports as well. You can approach to this guy for any kind of help be it CFA registration, railway/flight tkt booking or Quant/Excel/Finance problems. I still remember the day when in fit of anger, he tore down Fin-2 answer sheet in front of faculty. He has a peculiar style of explaining the things..."la copy pen de..samjhata hu"..

Abhishek is the one person in the campus whom I respect the most as a person. Anyone who knows him can’t deny the fact that he is a very intelligent person, with a clear heart. I remember how he helped me with my decision in selecting the Fin electives for 2nd year, when I sought his suggestions for the same.
