No description about Kaustubh will be complete without the mention of his partner, his ‘baap’ AJI LAL. They are the Tom & Jerry of our batch, always taking on each other, with Jerry commanding the upper hand more than often. His PJs can be hazardous to one’s mental well-being, but still, he is the one who can make you smile in the direst of the circumstances. He can be used as an example to show that one can keep calm & laugh even during bad phases of life. I owe my job partly to him as he was the one along with Gaurav who pushed me to apply for the company I got through.
Kaustubhhhhh....mera betaaa!!! Yes, you read it right, he is my son at IIMS. A son whose mom is proud of him. Well, jokes apart, a very sweet, intelligent and hardworking guy who speaks his mind. A fellow groupmate, he always teased me and blamed me for a very wrong reason(that i never worked in our study group) which I can tell you is a very big lie!! His creative prowess can be experienced by his untimely and out-of-the-world PJs, but I am proud of u inspite of that.A true Marathi Manus and a Ganapati bhakt, he never misses his daily pujas. I always keep pulling his leg by calling him a BROWN MONKEY because most of his outfits are BROWN in color :) Also, Its real fun teasing him about random girls, although he has developed a special liking for one them very recently :P Don't worry Kaustubh, won't spill the beans here :) Its been great fun with you around as a friend here and I wish you all the success in life.
my sweet little bhai jaan, lucky to have him as a friend and brother. A person with a huge 24 carat gold heart always caring for his friends, smiling and cracking jokes all the time. Sometimes I feel, that Ganeshji and Hanumanji stay with him and give him the power to keep everyone around happy. Cute bhai, who would imitate me, irritate me, scolds me, makes fun of me and makes me run behind him…this is what a little brother is supposed to do….inspite of all this I love my cute jerry and all his pranks… want you to stay like this forever. He is very serious towards studies and life and whenever he works, he does it with full dedication and hard work. Love spending time with him. I have to never give a second thought before speaking anything in front of him. I can never forget those outings to PB, laimu and happy valley temple; competitions we did together; his awesome PJs; his cupboard; markathon certificates; the way he irritates Aji; his bad song collection; his love for driving car on the highway; etc. Because of him I got to taste some delicious and my favorite Marathi food like chiwda, puran poli, ladoo, chakli again after engg. I was the one who finished all his Chiwda in 1st year. Thanks bhai for being there always by my side…plz don’t change. I wish you all the very best in all that u do because u deserve nothing less :)
“Kostuuuubh uth jaa……” this, every morning, one liner from Aji Lal (his self-proclaimed DAD) truly describes what Kaustubh is really good at. This guy can sleep at any hour of the day without any problem and waking him up every time had been a challenge for both me and Aji Lal (thank god, we always succeeded). A great guy at heart, who truly believes in 3 things: GOD, lessons on life by Maalik and last but not the least never leave an opportunity (NEVER) to take Aji Lal’s case.
Cost, that is what I usually call him. I have spent some really good time with him here at Shillong. Those late night Maggi sessions, doing competitions, our trips to PB & Happy Valley, taking Aji’s game, knocking at the door (to wake him up), watching serials on YouTube (his favourite pastime) are really unforgettable.
Will miss u my friend… All the best for everything, u aspire, for in life.

Mera old roomie..."nanha,natkhat atom bomb"..grt with pranks and jokes,PJ specialist...Has given me sleepless "early mornings"with his 3 fold music alarm.A very systematic guy .I have a made a lot of fun of his absolutely cute hindi accent but he has always taken that in the right spirit.Very helpful and dedicated in whatever he does. His looks may tell u otherwise but in reality a very mature guy.

Kaustubh is one of the most entertaining persons around. He is a prankster and his jokes can make you laugh ( as well as cry:P:P). His academic record is one of the strongest in the batch but is very down to earth. He has now also taken some mimicry skills from his ex room mate. He was the first person too whom I approached during fin assignments ;).
This guy has developed by leaps and bounds in TT and makes opponents game hell. Kaustubh has also been a great company during our journeys to home or vice versa.
The best part about him is that he has the potential to succeed in any area he chooses. It was really awesome to have him as a friend and a wingie in these years and I look forward to keep in touch with him in the future. All the best dude!!
Kaustubh ! Definitely it wont be possible to mark my arduous journey at IIM Shillong, complete without you. This little kiddo has always stood by me through my thick and thin times. I know that someday you will leave your mark on skies too and its just a matter of time that you need to wait sometimes. Academically he is a wonder boy and I owe full responsibility of detoriating your grades out here in IIM Shillong. You helped me clear during all these exams that were much more than a nightmare for me. Kaustubh has a rajor sharp intellegentia and its just because of his sheer modesty of not bragging about himself, people take him for granted but they forget the fact that even thousand skies cannot eclipse the sunshine. The most astonishing thing about Kaustubh is that he has been a day scholar during his under-grads and its the first time that he had come so far away from his home and he adopted himself so quickly to this environment that even his foster-father could not match him. :) He seems to have very small aspirations and is self-contented with what he has and greed has not touched upon his character. He would never foul-mouth about anyone irrespective of the fact that some people at times envied him and that is what makes him all the more greater than those self-professed Gurus.
Kaustubh is a real buddy of mine and the two of us have such disparate attitudes but he could always bridge this difference. I foresee a really bright future for you Dude and wish you a grand success in everything that you would do. All the best !
Kaustubh ....the first thought that runs across my mind are Super Mario, deadly PJs, reading online edition of TOI during classes, Sufi songs, Hanuman mandir and Markathon. His looks deceive you into believing that he might be childlike but a mature and thoughtful person. Ever effervescent he can manage to break laughter even in a gloomy situation by his PJs. His favourite pastime during the breaks is to tease Tejas, Sid or Kranti. On a serious note he’s good at acads, is hard working and ambitious. Hope you find success in all your endeavours :) ATB!
Mera PJ bhai- kaustubh!!! :) khub jamta hai rang jab mil baithte hai hum do bhai ek sang :D (PJ no. 1).. Kaustubh is a genuine person which is reflected in his smile. Kaustubh the undisputed king of PJs... A fellow mumbaikar and marathi manoos kaustubh has been great company in the past two years at IIM Shillong. He has made every one around him laugh with his humour and wit.
Behind his happy go lucky demeanor, kaustubh is a very deep thinking person. He is very religious too and never misses visiting the temple and praying in his room. A man who cares for his near and dear ones over anything else in life and just loves his hometown Mumbai.
But most importantly what Kaustubh has shown every one is that one can maintain the childlike enthusiasm and spirits no matter how much you grow up in life.
When you think of Kaustubh, the other person who comes to my mind is his Papa - Aji Lal :) There are a cute combo together. He plays Super Mario and Canvas rider - a true baccha :D
Kaustubh is a sincere guy and has performed exceptionally well in his academics all throughout his life :) He always maintained the enthusiasm in the group and kept our spirits high during our group meetings. He misses Mumbai and his home but hardly shows it outside.

Kaustubh, my self-proclaimed "offspring" in IIM S is indeed a child both physically and psychologically. However I would say he is one of the most brainy persons in our batch and only thing he might miss is maturity at least in dealing with me :P. As a care taker, I always fulfilled (and always love to do) my duties like: a) waking him up daily after several futile attempts of his alarm to do so (his alarm everyone wakes up in the vicinity, but not him, so lazy he is :)) b) Protect my child from all illicit and bad relationships (I would have succeeded in my venture but for his 'company' with Maalik, who has degraded my otherwise "seedha" baccha) c) I bear all his PJs patiently without a single complaint and even tried to nurture this talent. There would not have been a single day in IIM S when we both have not quarreled (God knows, for what reasons), but finally we always come to a consensus. His pranks and humor though unbearable at times, bring smile to everyone. Many people may not know that he has inherent talent of imitating others (He can mimic the sound of quite number people in our batch. @Kaustubh, please do not mind, but as a guardian, it is my prime responsibility to bring your hidden talents to other's notice :P) He is an intelligent and hardworking boy, who does all his work with extreme dedication and a proud VJTI alumni. He always deal with people with a smile and never saw him misbehaving with others (though he is expert in pulling others' legs). I am fortunate enough to get a "son" like him and he too is lucky enough to have a complete "family package" in IIM S in the past two years. As usual, I wish good luck to my son and always want to remind him to respect others and not to take "panga" with others
Expert at leg pulling… never leaves any chance to do so!! And excellent at PJs… Even though I control myself a lot saying to myself that they are senseless, I cannot help but laugh to each and every of his PJ :) And then his favourite pastime is to catch hold of someone in the mess and take their case during the entire meal. I have been a victim almost every other day for him! A kiddo at heart… but is very creative, level-headed and hardworking too… He is sure to achieve great heights in his career!!
