In Shubhi, one can see the amazing combination of child-like playfulness and mom-like maturity; she is carefree about life and yet will worry to death about the well-being of friends and loved ones. One of my closest friends in IIM Shillong, Shubhi is a pretty and lively girl who is a pleasure to be with. She loves watching movies, TV serials, playing Farmville and above all- she loves cooking and feeding people! You can walk into her room any time, and she will always be ready to lend a listening ear to your woes or feed you if you are hungry. I admire how she can keep chocolates in her room, and not eat them for months together!
Shubhi is one of the most responsible people I know; she will always get her work done in time and will have fun along the way. Being around her is the biggest stress buster, as she will laugh away all your worries. She enjoys shopping and travelling, and she has all the qualities of an ideal wife/mom (please don’t kill me for writing this!). Then of course, there are the crazy fits of madness that we both have shared; laughing away to absolutely nothing, TV series marathon the day before 2nd term exams and singing crazy songs at the top on our voices before the TQM exam!
I have had some of the best moments in IIM Shillong with you. Thank you for being there for me whenever I have needed you Shubhi and understanding me so well. Wish you all the very best in life! :)
Shubhi is a combo pack for me, assuming the roles of my group mate, friend, sis, mentor, motivator... everything. She is the sweetest gift god gave me here. Her caring nature is unparalleled. I can’t forget the days of 1st/2nd term when she used to call/ping me 3 times a day reminding me to apply ointment on my foot and back, at the same time neglecting all the requests/orders to take care of her own injured leg ;) She is the one I can rely upon for anything. She told me how to face difficult times of life through examples from her own life. She can be entrusted upon to the extent that one can share all of his/her problems with her and she will give a cool head. But the same cool headed Shubhi turns to a bull headed ______ (her nickname that I can’t afford to write here :P) when it comes to her own silly problems & habits. She is the one who can survive on a salad diet for days, one who will be ready to run a marathon even with a fever & broken leg if she decides so. Other facets of her life include her passion for Facebook (Farmville and random status msgs.), TCS (THE best company to work in), Shimla (THE best place to live in), chocolate cakes, pizza etc. There is much more that can be said about her, but there are no more words left with me to describe her persona. Thank you Shubhi Gupta for being here, it’s tough to think how life at Shillong would have been without you :( Wish you all the very best for life ahead. Be always as cheerful as you are & keep laughing in your trademark style that can be heard miles far :)
Shimla girl, who feels very cold inspite of being from Himachal. Another doctor on-campus, whom I can approach for any medicine or health tips. Amazing person, who sometime is a kid and sometimes would behave like a matured person. Farmville, maggi soup, Shimla, TCS, Gurgaon are few words which describe her. She has guts to do anything even if she is not well. Total masti-khor girl with a dynamic personality. Hey Shubhi, all the very best in life ahead.
A sweet girl who is a true Himachali at heart.. a caring person and an awesome cook her food was one of the reasons that drove me away from the mess… We’ve spent lots of nites chatting and whiling away time over cups and cups of coffee.. she brings a completely newer dimension to anything she does.. her creativity ( her room is her canvas) has amazed me constantly.. I am sure you’ll achieve all that u want Shubhi.. Stay healthy Stay Happy :) :) God Bless :) :)
Shubhi for me could be described as My neighbour, a great friend and an amazing cook. One who would always be there for friends and wouldn't let one feel left out ever. Can make even a stranger feel at home with he thoughtfulness and kind words. These two years may have not been that great for you in terms of health but i do know the future does hold something special for you. I have a lot of amazing memories with you over the last 2 years and we shall create many memories in bombay too :) wish you all the very best for all your future endeavours
She is the one about whom everyone knew right from footsteps days, for the reason that is not that a sweet memory. Salsa partner in first year, a person who will push to achieve the perfection in anything she takes up. A very sweet person and dedicated to tasks. She is someone who is energetic about anything being done whether group tasks, a day out with batch mates, she will always be game. And yeah you will have really tough time deciphering her Facebook statuses. All the Best for Future.
Shubhi- One of my Group mate- one thing you notice about Shubhi is- how she's fun yet mature one of the group... She has amazing knack of getting things done- and probably without her- we often wouldnt have submitted half our assignments on time... I will always remember Group I working late night in Gym on Marketing Presentations- or deciding on the last moment in some presentations on who's gonna do what... Even the Capstone Simulation had been amazing with the Group..
Of course, everyone knows her obsession with farmville... :D Amazing person to know, I am happy that got to know her somewhat during the 2 years...
Shubhi Gupta, my closest friend on campus and definitely the ‘oldest kid’ of our batch. We tagged along on our first shopping spree here in Shillong but the bonding never came until Term 2nd. Outwardly she is very bubbly, enthusiastic and definitely over energetic, with her broken foot she would be ready to run a marathon, do salsa or play badminton and the list goes on. But inwardly she is a very kind and selfless person who would soothe you so affectionately that you can pour all your troubles and then she would give you her best smiles to cheer you up. She has been there with me during my worst times here in Shillong; I cannot thank her enough for tha. Along with all her fun quota, she is extremely hardworking and observant and pursues anything very keenly. She is definitely the best cook on campus who is so crazy about cooking that she got a Cooking Book as a birthday gift. I have too many memories of her, some of the favourites being our endless tiffs over whether we would walk to Laimu or take a cab, my distaste and her extreme love for Subway, or the number of times I have coaxed her or screamed at her to eat at least once in a day. She has her own ‘Himachali’ ways like only a plate of fruit salad or a big bowl of salad and being full for the entire week; walking too much with a badly injured foot to develop its immunity and all the unearthly gyaan she keeps giving: P. Beware of the number of photos she would make you click on every outing and then number of times she would take you shopping for the simplest item. I am looking forward to many such experiences in the future when we would be in Mumbai together. And yes, you have no option but to stay in touch
The Farmville…fruit loving girl from Himachal. She is one of the sporty girls around but at the same time loves to attract likes through the mysterious FB statuses. I still remember how she used to keep asking about my health for several days; she is a very caring person. Nearly missed her unique hairstyle because she thinks that she looks Uber cool in that…and guess what she is not wrong always !! I will remember her as a very focused and true person with a lingering grace….Njoi life to the fullest..wishing you all the best for your dreams !!!
Langdi!! That’s the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of her. She got injured in the first week at Shillong and first time I met her, I was part of a 4 member team carrying her in a chair to our fresher’s party! She is a hard working individual and the few times we have worked together, she has tortured me for not getting the job done! She is also a very intelligent and well informed student in the fields of interest and our common interest for the field of IT has led us into many a discussions about the field. She is also very god fearing and has a big set of principles which she follows in life. On a lighter note, she has her own unique logic and its really funny to see them at work at times. One example of such logic can be not having dinner whenever you went out for lunch. Also the one where you should play more and more if your leg is injured because the leg will heal that way! She also wants to walk to places rather than take a cab ( For God’s sake, not everyone can walk for so long :) )Well it suffices to say that it is fun to be around such a person. Hope you achieve all the success that you deserve in life. Cheers!
Shubhi-The princess of ‘Himachal’ and as sweet as honey :) She is brilliant, fun loving, understanding, very caring girl and indeed a sweet friend to have :)
I remember how you come to my rescue every time, be it with room heater or a locked almirah!!
May you attain all the success in your life and may god fill your life with all joy and laughter!!!
