SHUBHAM AGARWAL

  1. The quiet, intelligent guy who keeps to himself – that would be a good enough description of Shubham in these 2 years. One would expect a CEG ECE guy to be flamboyant, forthcoming, over-confident and ambitious. I now realize that he has the exact opposite qualities. He is the quite, laid-back back types with a subtle confidence you have to really observe to notice. Our Group L times were fun. He is hard to catch when there is work to be done, but, when he did some work, we never had to worry about quality. I am so tempted to say: ‘Be a little more ambitious and forthcoming and you will reach awesome heights’. But, I say to myself: ‘Come on, here is one guy who knows how to be happy. He is contended and seems to have clarity as to what makes him happy, let him be’. Be the way you are, machan. I am sure happiness will never dare leave you for one moment :)

  2. Whenever I hear Shubham, his broad elegant smile flashes in front of my eyes. I have always seen him smiling whatever the situation be. He knows how to handle work pretty well. Being a group mate I have seen him preparing for his part. He would spend a lot of team reading something extra from the net for his part. He may look casual but he is very sharp. When everybody wanted that extra 0.1 or 0.2 marks for CP or DP whatever, this shy guy never spoke a word in these two years.

Shubham in class can be imagined as the person occupying the corner most seat with the hood of the sweatshirt over his head looking into his laptop (playing games all the time). Though “a little less visible :P” in group meetings, he would never miss deadlines.

Always be happy and keep that smile on your face forever

  3. Shubham has a million dollars smile and a wonderful outlook towards life. He is probably one of those guys who believes in destiny and never worries about anything. Fellow A-winger and that too my neighbor, I have known this guy for his sleeps during unusual hours and his laziness not to forget. Wishing u a great life ahead mate. Keep Smiling Always :)

  4. The one thing that strikes you about Shubham is his ever-lasting smile :) He can keep smiling always no matter what the situation is (i should check if he smiles even when he sleeps ;) )

Shubham is a lazy fellow (he even plays sports this way) - always misses classes because of sleeping too much, a caring lover - i have never seen someone carry food for another person who always sits in the same room as his :P His mathematical skills are second to none and am sure he's going to be a successful trader soon :)

A big sports fan - i have always enjoyed talking to him, Paul and Yashwanth about football, he's a federer fan like many of us, he doesn't like Ravindra Jadeja like me and Jitesh :)

Shubham is sincere in whatever he does in life - in his relationships and in whatever little work he manages to do ;) That's a rare quality these days and that makes him precious :)

Wish you a great life ahead and i will see you around :)

  5. The cool dude….Shubham, a well-mannered quiet kid that every parent would point out for their kids to emulate. He doesn’t get tensed irrespective of what the situation is. But don’t be deceived by his carefree manner, he has a sharp mind with great grasping power, it’s just that it has been put in sleep mode :P. There’s a rumour that he chose IIM Shillong only because they serve Paneer 3 times a week here :P. My TT partner, who compensated for my lack in agility through his rare bursts of energy. He’s a highly flexible and independent guy with an emotional maturity that’s stronger than what most of us have. Don’t change Shubham, keep smiling and wish you all the success, fortune and happiness in the world.

  6. I feel Shubham is one of those guys in the batch who is always cheerful, creative and a little introverted. I always had a feeling that we had similar opinions on many topics without really sharing them.

It was a good feeling having known him. I wish him all the best.

  7. A person quiet person but don’t take his silence as his weakness. He is one of the sharpest guys in the batch. It was fun with you in Group L. I remember our meetings and discussion on various topics and those brainstorming days for every assignment. He has mastered CAPSTONE SIMULATION and because of him only we managed good grades in this subject. He is very logical in all his analysis. Before putting any suggestion he researches a lot and come to a solid conclusion.

All the best dear. Keep it up and stay connected

  8. I have known Shubham for almost a year before coming to IIM Shillong throughout which he always came across as a silent and serious guy going about his own business. After two years here, I can say that I have got to know that there are other facets to him.. A laid back happy go lucky guy who takes life as it comes.. This guy’s knowledge and grasping power can amaze you but alas, this is buried between a layers of laziness.. an awesome friend who is caring and helpful, Shubham can also come up with the most innovative way to irritate you :P :P a movie and soccer buff whose smile will allow you to forget all of life’s worries.. a guy who can excel in anything he does if he puts his heart into into it.. I am sure u’ll go places da Shubham.. jus stop be a lil less lazy :P :).. Keep smiling! God bless :) :)

  10. Very kind, soft-spoken, quick-witted, extremely caring and helpful… he is generally lazy… he’s good at TT… but somehow plays that also sleepily :P but somehow finds some weird times and things to study out of passion (like after the exam for that subject is over :P) very enthusiastic and interested to learn everything… he’s got a good grasping power… He’s one guy with a carefree attitude and a smile always :) Your sincerity can take you places Shubham!! Good luck… and keep smiling :)

  11. The first few conversations with Shubham revolved around common friends back in CEG. Shubham is again those brilliant whiz kids category to me. He hardly studies or puts in effort like many of us, but grasps concepts with ease and all it takes for him is to skim through concepts and he can solve problems with ease. Shubham’s smile is probably the first thing that comes across to you and no one knows how many girls he has swept off their feet, but I am sure he has!

He loves following sport and participates in online events and B-school events just for the joy and fun it is for him to crack those. He is an excellent footballer and a nice person to be-friend. He hardly voices his views but when he does you can be sure that he is going to make sense.

Second year has been great indeed, dropping into each other’s room or sawan’s room for all those short conversations or food. You have been among those who have the tough task of waking me up be it for class or otherwise. Your charming nature and good heart will take you places. I am sure all your heart’s desires will be fulfilled and you will have a great future. It was great to have known you. All the very best!

  12. We have known each other from UG as we both were in the same college and the same department. We had a lot of mutual friends and I heard so much about him. He used to be the lazy, nerdy guy who gets marks without having to put in any effort. :P:P. Invariably we went through many things together. We even attended IIM Shillong interviews together and stayed in the same rooms. That would have been the end of the story had it not been for IIM Shillong. I was happy that at least one person whom I knew was coming here. :). Lazy is one word to describe Shubham. His lacklustre enthusiasm in anything is how people would see him. But he has one of the best analytical and amongst the sharpest minds in IIM Shillong. His logical prowess is something astounding. I still remember both of us very confused and attending all interviews, be it TATA motors or that HR interview together. :D:D. I have never seen the romantic streak in him and it was evident here in IIM Shillong. Wish you all success in ur career da :) Good luck and stay connected.
