A firm believer in “Early to Bed and Early to Rise”, he never changed his good habits and beliefs to please the world.

He is one of the most enthusiastic fin guys i have met on campus. I remember the KT session we took together for the juniors and the way the whole junior batch was listening to him so patiently. Lucky to have him as fellow intern in BoB. He is so committed towards work that in 2 months intern he was seen only during lunch hours!! :D Even his department people started calling him "phodrhuuu" :D Though a very reserved and committed person in personal life, he was always seen with one new recruit girl at BoB during lunch hours!! :) ;)
One of the "idea generator" of finance club. He is always there with new and innovative ideas. The way he took induction interview would have kept many candidates running.
His career growth acceleration will be one of the fastest among all from this batch.

This lean Mumbaikar always has been so inspiring for me. He has a very cheerful persona and has an attitude to maintain his kool even in worst situations. He has Equal affinity towards Phinance and towards the Bakkar subjects and his grades speak volumes about him. But besides being good at academics he is passionate about social welfare and has made conscious efforts in this direction which were definitely so inspiring for all of us. Describing Deep would be incomplete without mention of his cellphone to which he is glued most of the time. Seeing this as a problem he has suggested by some famous surgeons to stitch his Cell permanently to his ears. The matter is still under consideration before Mr Mehta and may be very soon we would all see a new Fashion/Style statement. And yes a sincere advice to him ( definitely whole batch will agree to it) , please wear some more clothes during the spine chilling winters, Shillong is pretty much different from Mumbai. :-)
Deep.. The one guy who can never be separated from his phone… His passion to excel in studies, his perseverance to give back to the society and his abundant display of creativity.. He is truly a man of many shades.. I am sure he is the only person in the whole batch who is learnt the art of managing various hats and succeeded at all.. a true mumbaikar, this guy makes sure he gets his share of fun.. The khajua...coolest and most reticent person of the batch...he has 'mast raho masti main, aag lage chahe basti main' kinda attitude which makes him stand out. I came to know about you more during GIRC and since then my perception about you has changed completely. It was a nice experience to work with you in GIRC. I still remember East Zone and National finals where we did a lot of masti before presentation and you helped all of us to forget about presentation and release our anxiety. I would like to learn from you to be calm, no matter how difficult the situation is.

Deep has done many a deeds so apt to his name….spreading light all around him by his out of the box thinking, creative ideas, social work ( he never boasts about these a quality not found in many). He is a person who would understand the thoughts of others and would suggest ways of combating the trouble pestering them. He makes the best nimbu sherbet in the campus, can write words artistically in a way which can be read from either side. His skills of Presentation making – adorning- are legendary! His group be it study group or GIRC team has set a benchmark in presentation making. His commitment, down to Earth nature, practicality and level headedness are the reasons for his excellence in whatever he undertakes be it studies or events or social activity. Well...not much to say about him. He is one person who has no dearth of talents and an awesome heart. Deep Mehta… always cheerful, full of energy, great lover of sweets, jovial and cool guy (but mind you! he never feels cold even in the winters of Shillong… the day he wore a sweater, it was estimated that the stock prices in the sweater industry will rise significantly :P) Very knowledgeable in all aspects, can speak on any topic spontaneously, and really good at time management… God knows how he manages to do so many things in a day (classes, phone, trading, fin club, TT, his 100 consulting assignments and what not!) and with such speed!! He could finish any assignment in 15 minutes max. :P He is very talented, artistic, creative and innovative in his ideas… and has got awesome ppt making skills! Really dedicated towards his work… And then his favourite pastime – having fun by imitating someone or making someone a victim of his sarcastic remarks and entertaining all the people around :) Even for a small incident that happens, the amount of amplification that it undergoes in narration cannot be achieved by anyone but Deep. My fellow Symphony and Fin club Member, I have seen him as a person with creative bent of mind and a storehouse of many new fresh ideas and initiatives. He likes to work on new ideas, tries to implement them and make them a reality. Further, he also tries to do something meaningful and different in lot of aspects. He has an altogether different style of questioning people which I have witnessed during the symphony and Fin Club interviews. Has a very good sense of humour, a knack of firing repartees in any kind of situation and being sarcastic and witty.
Deep is a 'Phodu' (his favourite term). He never feels cold; U can see him roaming around in his shorts in chilly Shillong weather with cellphone glued to his ears. He does the things dedicatedly in which he believes, be it working for NGO or doing social work. He is a person who is knowledgeable about various domains and is crystal about what he wants to do. Deep have been always enthusiastic about travelling to new places. He also has a good sense of humour and can be very sarcastic and witty at times (especially with some people :P) Best Wishes! :)
One of the first friends I made on campus, he is probably the one guy who has so many facets to his personality that I’m sure most of us have only scratched the surface. He is very adept at pulling someone’s leg and has been a very good partner in teaming up to make fun of people ;) Gives a whole new meaning to the word multi- talented, he is a karate black belt, a great cricketer, a great photographer, a nature lover, an artist, a finance wizard and lots of other things. We’ve always seen him talking on the phone and everyone is still trying to find out when he gets his work done if he’s on his phone 24x7. Cheers to many more years of friendship!

Apart from the aforementioned two qualities he is creative, disciplined, dedicated to phone and chat sessions, adventurous, self-aware (most important), and a true gujju :).

A wizard who has the ability to mask over things. Very creative person who used to come out with quite innovative designs during the IRC ppt making. A very sincere and hard working person who is very focused on his tasks. Whenever I used to feel a bit low, I visited Deep's room and draw motivation from the comments he has written on his charts. Deep was also our guide during our short trip to Mumbai and showed us the eternal Mumbai (whatever we could see in the short time frame).
One of those guys who has made full use of his 2 years at IIMS by doing what he truly believes in and following his heart. I have never seen him worried or tensed about anything but he is always at his wittiest and enjoying by pulling other peoples legs.
He is one of those traditional bf’s who believes in making cards and gifts for his gf. Love his patience for that. I am still curious as to what he talks to his GF on those thousands of calls he makes to her during the day.
The past 2 years with you have been wonderful. Truly respect you for your awesome attitude towards life and the way you have approached each day at IIM Shillong.
Deep is a typical VJTI guy as Rishabh or Kaustubh or Aditya Gore were - extremely well-read and good at acads. He's got a creative side to him as well - PDP sessions were useful only because of a few ppl like you :)
Not many realize the social work he does as he never publicizes them - a down-to-earth personality and a very good cricketer as well :) You can always find him on the phone and his girl friend is one lucky person to have got someone like Deep :)

Deep signifies to me a deadly combination of Finance and HR. He is one person with whom the most mundane of conversations turns interesting. Unfailingly polite and extremely interested in entrepreneurship, his views during the RISE classes were great to listen to. His interactions with Vani can leave spectators in splits and his interest in supporting NE crafts can make one think deeply regarding what we are doing in life. Deep, you are a great combo of a guy who is hardworking, passionate, positive, dedicated to his gf and most of all passionate about the things you love. It is not so common to find someone who manages to do so many things on time and also give an appropriate amount of time to your girl friend. Personally, i havent seen a major change in you from the first time i met you till today. You are the same fun guy who knows exactly what he wants and change his opinions because of others. Phoddu is one word which comes to my mind for Deep. I met this guy in our GD panel of IIM-Shillong and next we met at campus. A avid reader and a true market follower and this guy has made a fortune investing in stocks. He stays to himself and would rather prefer to connect to his personal commitments. Deep ppt skills are one of the best in our campus and I had learned a lot from this guy. He can be seen joking with people with a huge laughter at the end. A very genuine guy and a big hobby of his is making beautiful origami. He is also known for decorating his room with charts with all type of philosophical quotes on it. I feel lucky that I will be joining Deep at the same company and I guess I will have a learning experience there. Best of luck for your future!!

Gives a whole new meaning to the word multi- talented, he is a karate black belt, a great cricketer, a great photographer, a nature lover, an artist, a finance wizard and lots of other things. We’ve always seen him talking on the phone and everyone is still trying to find out when he gets his work done if he’s on his phone 24x7.

My fellow C winger The sight of him talking to his gal sure brings a smile to me which is a very common sight. He s such a dedicated and committed guy. Always has a kind word and something to speak about whenever we meet. I have heard about your passion and the work which u have done for the people here and I just dunno if I am even worthy of commenting on it. Hats off and a salute An excellent cricketer and tt player. Have discussed a lot about relationships with him and the commitment he shows is just out of reach. Reality – Sab sahi tha bhai…but it was just tip of the iceberg…
Apart from the aforementioned two qualities he is creative, disciplined, dedicated to phone and chat sessions, adventurous, self-aware (most important), and a true gujju :).

A wizard who has the ability to mask over things. Very creative person who used to come out with quite innovative designs during the IRC ppt making. A very sincere and hard working person who is very focused on his tasks. Whenever I used to feel a bit low, I visited Deep's room and draw motivation from the comments he has written on his charts. Deep was also our guide during our short trip to Mumbai and showed us the eternal Mumbai (whatever we could see in the short time frame).

One of those guys who has made full use of his 2 years at IIMS by doing what he truly believes in and following his heart. I have never seen him worried or tensed about anything but he is always at his wittiest and enjoying by pulling other peoples legs.

Deep is a typical VJTI guy as Rishabh or Kaustubh or Aditya Gore were - extremely well-read and good at acads. He's got a creative side to him as well - PDP sessions were useful only because of a few ppl like you :)
ReplyDeleteNot many realize the social work he does as he never publicizes them - a down-to-earth personality and a very good cricketer as well :) You can always find him on the phone and his girl friend is one lucky person to have got someone like Deep :)

Deep signifies to me a deadly combination of Finance and HR. He is one person with whom the most mundane of conversations turns interesting. Unfailingly polite and extremely interested in entrepreneurship, his views during the RISE classes were great to listen to. His interactions with Vani can leave spectators in splits and his interest in supporting NE crafts can make one think deeply regarding what we are doing in life. Was very nice knowing you Deep, all the very best for your future :)

Deep, you are a great combo of a guy who is hardworking, passionate, positive, dedicated to his gf and most of all passionate about the things you love. It is not so common to find someone who manages to do so many things on time and also give an appropriate amount of time to your girl friend. Personally, i havent seen a major change in you from the first time i met you till today. You are the same fun guy who knows exactly what he wants and change his opinions because of others. I hope to spend more time with you in Mumbai and hope all your dreams come true.
Phoddu is one word which comes to my mind for Deep. I met this guy in our GD panel of IIM-Shillong and next we met at campus. A avid reader and a true market follower and this guy has made a fortune investing in stocks. He stays to himself and would rather prefer to connect to his personal commitments. Deep ppt skills are one of the best in our campus and I had learned a lot from this guy. He can be seen joking with people with a huge laughter at the end. A very genuine guy and a big hobby of his is making beautiful origami. He is also known for decorating his room with charts with all type of philosophical quotes on it. I feel lucky that I will be joining Deep at the same company and I guess I will have a learning experience there. Best of luck for your future!!
ReplyDeleteThe typical mumbaiya gujju, Deep was among the first guys I met when I arrived in the campus. He was my wing-mate and I enjoyed talking about our common interest - stock market - with him. A very hardworking, dedicated, intelligent guy, Deep will surely go places. All the best. Keep in touch.
