Sourav Das - 'The Consultant', 'The Professional' and 'The Sarcasm King'...The Man he is and the Man whom all will remember for somethings unique to him...
Sourav Das - the person I met at the auditorium of IIM-S on the first day dazzled me with the kind of ambitions he has. This guy is a very hardworking (sleeps only 4 hrs a day) and a sincere guy, he is a no nonsense guy who shows extreme professionalism in everything he does. He is a leader by nature and can lead in every other thing you find, even teasing friends and having fun. A very emotional man and he can intuitively see if someone needs help.
My co-club member and a very close friend. Actually I look at him as a guide and he is one person whose advises you can take and be rest assured about the decisions you need to make after speaking to him. A foodie himself can be very adamant when it comes to good food and nothing less. Sourav is one person whose ambitions and visions can inspire anyone to create a better self. One thing I learnt from this guy was Networking skills. He is simply awesome at networking and he actually shows what an IIM Grad should be.
As no man is perfect, Sourav has also some lackings - he can lose his temper easily, he can overdo some arguments and he can be sometimes overmodest.
All in all a complete package for any girl to fall for him and particularly Consultants. I can just say that this guy would eventually follow his passions and would get huge successes in his future. I wish him all the best for the future in both personal (marriage!!) and professional lives..

An honest, sincere and hard working guy.. Doesn't sugarcoat his words about anything and puts across his true feelings. One can always count on him for being honest and wants people to be the same way with him. On a personal note, stop being so hyper about everything and learn to take things lightly. There is a lot in life that we all have to experience and not all of these experiences maybe good. but remember to spend your life the way you want too and not cause what the world would think of you..Am sure with your hard-work and your passion to learn from your mistakes, you will go to great places.. Apart from a few of our tiffs(hope all that is forgotten now), it was indeed great knowing you..Keep smiling and do keep in touch!!

Sourav is one of the most ambitious guys I have ever met. extremely hard working and talented, this guy is a born consultant. I had quite a lot of interaction and study sessions with him in the first year, and there was fun and great learning. he is an inspiration all the way, and would make you give that extra bit most of the time. good at pulling legs, but he is always ready with advice whenever you need any. I would never forget his famous "ek cheez bata" and he would continue asking questions till the whole matter is clear. with his extraordinary talent and penchant for hard work, I am sure this guy is slated to go places. It was great knowing you Sourav. Wish you all the success and satisfaction in life!! Keep Rocking!!
If you ask me what is the synonym of networking, the only name that would come to my mind is Sourav Das. He has his network spread in almost each and every organisation of India :) Sourav is one of the most harworking guys I have ever seen in my life. He can slog for hours day and night during exams. And when he gets bore or wants some refreshment, he starts looking for prey to make fun of them and entertain himself ;) Its really a feeling of satisfaction giving GPL to him :P And one thing that I wont be able to forget about him is his loud laughter with 'Ooo Bhaiiii'. I bet even 'Kumbhkaran' could wake up from deep slumber hearing his voice. I had great laughing time with him in these 2 years and will really miss it. I have always enjoyed his company and have learnt so many things from him. His way of speaking is unique and i really love it :) The strange smile which he always carries on his face is something which I find really funny. He is very focused in life. I will never forget those bakars with you about random stuff.

The sceptical guy of PGP10, that is Sourav Das for you (sorry dude…) Even till now, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Sourav is how sceptical he was about IIMS during the first few months here, scaring the hell out of every person he meets :) The next thing has to be his Sarcasm. My god, he can tease anyone and everyone with a very straight face and you can never find out if he is serious in his praise for someone or is just pulling his leg.
A very talented and hardworking guy, he puts his heart and soul into everything he does. When he is in your team, you seldom have to worry about losing the drive. He will push you till he gets the result. Be it the numerous competitions we ve tried our hand at, till the e-summit planning (which dint materialise), his enthusiasm is something that is very evident. He is someone who is always on his toes, looking to do the next big thing. Dude, you should chill a little :) If u decide to come to Pune (i know u are still vacillating), be sure to keep this in mind :) Cheers!
Sourav das,.. my roomie. Very practical and talented. He is one rare guys who has real plans for the question “Ten years down the line”, which most of us prepare just for an interview. Pre-planned and accepts nothing less than perfection. I have worked with him in many competitions and I am surprised to see the dedication and efforts he puts to make it the best. Never says no to someone for any academic help. He has passionate for finance and reads a lot. With the kind of dedication and planning I am sure dude… you can achieve whatever you want in life.
Typically Sourav will be perceived as someone who take digs at others or is not satisfied with the given situation but there is more to this fellow than what meets the eyes. He is a very dedicated individual who knows how to manage his schedule and he is one of the most hardworking guys of the batch. His feedback about anything be it the mess food or anything else will be frank and balanced. His networking abilities are now legendary and I guess all of us have learnt from him as to how to plan one’s career...

Everyone knows that Sourav is a serious, hardworking dude when it came to acads, but hearing him speak, an outsider wouldn’t even suspect it. His sarcasm and quasi-innocent comments have lightened many a class. I love the way he is passionate about learning – even if it is a topic that is not directly related to his chosen line, he questions and counter-questions until he is clear. The consultant and strategy king of the batch.Very recently labelled as a hardcore politician :P,this guy has been a great friend of mine.Our long chat sessions outings for food and group studies will always remain etched in memory.Ask him any career advice and he will be more than happy to counsel you.Ask him about any academic preparation and he will be more than happy to prove that there is a lot of course and he hasn't studied anything.However the marks of exam will always speak a different story.A pet to some of the most important faculties at IIM Shillong.His pranks and comments again are inimitable and are a great source of entertainment for all except the victim. A very hardworking chap with great ambitions in life.Owing to his abilities he deserves all success in personal and professional life.

Sourav Da is a person who can pump in so much confidence into the most useless person in the world by his style of praise. I am not joking. He is one of the few people who always encouraged and gauged my capacity.
He is a workaholic and I knew this from the days when he worked at IBM. He has a style of his own – be it the loud songs when Sourav Da walks across the corridor or the “Under the table TT shots” or his sense of humour when you hear him talking to Somjeet, Padhi or Amrit.
He takes his responsibilities very seriously. He ensures every task is done in its best possible way. He is a person who very clearly knows what are his career goals and aspirations and strives really hard to fulfill them irrespective of whatever the convention may be.
Sourav has been my study group-mate here at IIM-S, and over the course of these two years he has become a good friend too. As anyone would strongly vouch for it, Sourav is one of the most hardworking & sincere students in our batch - in fact I'm often left speechless at the kind of enthusiasm he has for acads despite having over 4 years of work-ex. This clearly shows his willingness to learn & his desire to excel in life.
Sourav has a deeply critical side to him. He never accepts something just because everyone else is doing so. He questions, raises doubts, points out flaws & passionately criticizes everything around him - some feel that he's never happy with anything, but I guess its always a good thing to have a certain critical bent in oneself - of course, as long as one doesn't become over-critical :)
Sourave is essentially a very nice person - he's hepful, has a playful side in him (his wry sarcasms are something everyone is well aware of), loves good food, and is a easy-to-be-with person in general. I'm sure his inner drive & his desire to excel will help him achieve his dream job - doesn't matter which company or profile or post as long as the package is at least a few crores or so :D
One of the earliest friends here at IIM Shillong courtesy of walking every day to the Night Canteen near the audi. We shared many commons like pulling people’s legs all the time and also regular visits trying out various food joints in Shillong. A diligent worker who gives his best to academics, he never shies away from any of the projects given to him. He’s very responsible too, and I’ll regret not getting to work with him much because of my sheer laziness. I haven’t gotten to go out for food much in the second year, but I’m sure we have one last heavy lunch due very soon. Surely going to be a CEO in a few years’ time, he is destined for a lot of great things.
One guy whom is always very content with whatever he has achieved in his life :P. Someone whom you know will always be there for you whenever you need him :P. On a serious note someone who takes too much interest in studies, is well aware of most of things and has a lot of passion to achieve what he wants. His typical style of enjoying at the cost of others is a treat to watch (unless you are the guinea) and his company is always fun to have.
I definitely can’t expect you to stay connected considering the busy life you lead. Still it was great knowing you better over the last year and wish the very best of things for you.
Ambition is the word that defines Sourav bhaisahab. Knows his worth. When you do something good, he will tell you straight forward. And something which he does not like, he will tell you in a diplomatic way.
Knows the times in which he is born on the planet and accordingly makes his strategy and tactics. Smart mind.
This is one guy who will surely miss me :P.. Cause I have been a big source of entertainment for his poker-faced jokes throughout these 2 years :D!
Am still amazed as to how a guy can take someone’s case for hours together without smiling (Ya, I have been the victim often :P) … People who don’t know better may be fooled into thinking he is actually praising and is not being sarcastic!!
Jokes aside, this sincere and hard-working guy has been a pillar to our study group! He is well-connected with the world outside and will be my go-to person for any career advice.
