ROTI, u will always be remembered as the only person in C-wing who was always there to accompany me when entire wing was out attending some boring/useless/Bamboo lectures.
The person who also accompanied me as the last 2 people of the batch to be INTERNED
Person always blamed of being on phone, though he hardly is on it:
Person who finds it tough to think of shillong as something beyond Laimu or Pb.
But, one Gem of a person. True to heart and as frank as one can be. Be the way u are and yeah the Bribes for being a DJ are justified.
Ralhan. Tragedy started with the room he was given. Hates anything close to being girly in his room. Beautiful paintings had to be covered with white sheets of deadlines and work to do! :P Loves his phone and can go to any means to defend his phone and put Apple and its users down. :P One guy who believes that dressing up can also be for guys. Has a fascination for branded and colorful clothes and shoes. Gets ready for treks as if it were for a party. No wonder fashionistas fall for him.. :P ;) Has this typical punjabi accent becuase of which he has been named "ROTTI". started his life in IIM Shillong with rumours of him getting engaged. :P A fun lover and a total chiller. Up for anything and ready to go all the time(provided places are Laimu and PB) :P
I don’t know about you, but I’m sure glad that two years ago you took that quick call to come to IIMS because if you had said no, I would not have had one of my best friends today. A person who can’t live without his phone for more than an hour, who like a true Punjabi thinks that even Idli is part of Roti, who has a fascination for sharing every little detail with his family (I’m sure you’re on the phone right now telling them that you’re reading this post :P), who has pathetic gaming skills and who loans money to neighbouring ‘strangers’, it is his quality of saying things as he sees them without any hesitation and with a tinge of sarcastic humour that makes him so affable. Stay as you are. Always :)
Ralhan. His general knowledge, combined with his enthusiasm to research in depth on any topic of his interest and come out with interesting insights make him the best marketer of the batch. He’s amazing at formatting documents and always ends up doing that for all our group assignments. But the key text here is “Topic of interest”! Given any other task, he’s a social loafer like the rest of us :) . A fellow Sony Vaio user, he is a constant supporter and defender of the product with me against the IT Comm who fail to understand the machine :). He is known to have gone home the maximum times during the 2 years as well as for his relations created with neighbouring colleges :D. My memories with him remind me of the Marketing II project final proposal which had started to mean more to the group than just a submission :) . I shall also fondly remember him DJing during the farewell last year and the perks he got that day. Wish you all good luck in your life and may you scale heights of success. Cheers!
Roti… an asli punjaabi who loves his food.. as a fellow group N mate, we have had awesome moments together be it finishing assignments rit before the deadline ( most importantly his room was our meetin place) or teasing Mishra.. He is a frank and cheerful person who is fun to be with… Have an awesome life dude :) :) all the very best..
Gaurav, whom I first met on the registration day. From first look, he looked a simple, silent and introvert guy to me but to contrast he is one of the most outgoing and fun loving people around. A true Punjabi at heart who will never think of resolving a fight or confrontation using simple and deliberate ways. ;) A guy who owns most number of clothes here, and all branded. And can attract gals even from other institutes :P :P He can always be seen over phone either with parents or girlfriend. A true F1 fan who can give bakar on every minute detail of the sport. And not to forget, a competitor in Tennis when it comes to Nadal and Djokovic. One of the best people around who is always there to help everyone out. A fun loving and chilled person, who used to mail people to wake him up for classes during first year. An awesome DJ but charges to pay :P :P Keep Rocking bhai..!!!
You will not spot him often but once you see him you cannot help but notice his blue eyes. A Punjabi boy who is a true Funjabi, is known for his trademark dialog ‘Roti khane chalet hain..’ A guy who is smart, talented and knows in and out of things he is interested in. He is as much into marketing as much marketing is into him. A jolly guy who takes pleasure in making fun of Manbir (like Tom and Jerry :P). Soft spoken most of the times but he will not mince words in criticizing people for their wrongdoings. All the best for the future Gaurav! :)
Rottii...Cheerful and gay (happy wala gay :P ) almost everytim I see him.. But beware..he can fuss over small things...for example the flower painting on his wall :P But then he is really proud of his bright yellow Nike shoes and says 'This is in mann!!!' :P Always has some good ideas up his sleeve and contributes well towards healthy discussions ( Well.. I am not talking about Sales mgmt classes). Comes across as a very genuine person and I thoroughly enjoyed being with you, be it those stupid sales plays (where v laughed like crazy :) ) or the random bakar sessions. I am sure you are on ur way to become a great marketer. Wishing you all success in life.. Enjoyyy :)
This guy will knock his fellow neighbours' room and will say "chal rottii khane chalte hai"- and there goes the origin of his nick-name in IIM Shillong. Stud and style icon (can validate the fact by just checking the number of girls from NIFT in his friends' list) :D.. A fun-loving guy with a true craze for bikes. Like all other marketing guys he is a brilliant bakar-baaz. But a true and genuine person. Wish you great success ahead mate. Keep Smiling Always :)
Top 10 salient features of Gaurav Ralhan: 1. This guy named 'Roti' loves 'Parantha' a lot! 2. He has wonderful 'yellow' shoes and he is proud to own it. 3. He is a nice DJ and on bribing becomes even more rocking. (D :)) 4. Core Punjabi at heart (Nakli plz learn something) 5. Always on phone; has highest phone bills in the batch in my knowledge. 6. Loves to hate his flowery ex-roomie (iPhone vs Samsung) 7. Is popular in NIFT and has guests visiting him early in the morning (remember ur friends Ballu n Raghu) :P 8. Has a lot of knowledge about patents. 9. Has a patented dancing-style 10. Will be an excellent marketeer
"Chal oye rotti khane chalte hai"... this dialouge of his earned him the nickname rotti... Gaurav used to spend almost half his day with manbir in our room. An extremely relaxed and carefree person who always set timelines but never really followed them... Whenever we used to sit to study for exams you can be assured that Gaurav would be atleast half an hour late and after 5 min of study spend another half a hour on his phone :):). But yes when it comes to marketing he is really passionate about it. And yes the patent expert. A cool guy who would always bring a smile to your face whenever you see him...
Dear Ralhan First things first... I love your accent and frequent use of 'theth' Punjabi words while talking... It brings so much life in every conversation :) And yes how can I talk about you without talking about your love for 'BRANDS'... May you become a big brand yourself someday :) And do thank me for publicising your profile pics... ;) Aur haan... exams zaruri hain !!! :P God bless you !! Keep smiling humesha :) Miss me :P
One of the laziest guys, it was extremely entertaining when both of us tried working for a competition. It was even more entertaining when we were joined by Sehgal for another competition. Getting work done when the three of us were together was next to impossible but we somehow managed to motivate each other and do a decent job.
I got to know him well when we were both rejected for ConQuest in the first round and spent lot of time nagging about the process and then ended up working together for the Marketing Club. Looking back, I think both of us are extremely happy about it.
He’s always been quite good at giving new ideas about everything from what the club can do to how we should work for the magazine.
Bhai apna 'asli' punjabi hai, even though he spends an awful lot of time with 'nakli' :P. Its fun to be around him and if you feel hungry in the wee hours of the night, you know you'll find food @ his room. His dialogue 'Roti khane chalte hain' is the stuff legends are made of and so is his carefree attitude.
Ralhan, the boy with the hazel-green eyes, is one hell of a fun character to hang out with. He is super frank and given his colourful vocabulary, listening to him when he is pissed with someone is awesome fun. He always gives the impression of being laid back but his work speaks otherwise. Btw, I still have no clue why he is called roti. Given his enthusiasm and cheer, he will make the consummate S&M guy. Here’s wishing him all the very best in anything he does :)
The most colorful creature of our campus…one who loves to wear yellow shoes with a green shirt. The Marketing wizard of our batch and immensely knowledgeable personalities of our batch. He has a very different sense of humor but then he often makes the impact. Smart looking crap he is..asks girls to promote his pictures and FB posts which they happily do :) He is a person who can go from saying Sense to NON-Sense in a matter of seconds…more than that he is a great friend and a genuine person. He is bound to excel in whatever he does and make us proud :) Go for it ROTI !!
My fellow group mate, a jovial personality and the best person to look at while making a presentation…because he would be the one for sure, nodding his heads at whatever bullshit you speak and thus is a prized audience for anyone :)
Not to forget his awesome knowledge in Marketing.. He is a kind of person, who is truly a master in his domain, be it with facts & statistics or be it with creativity.. I remember how after an initial bad feedback on our ‘Foodles’ project by Sadrangani Sir, this guy literally worked hard to come out with an awesome report (content and design toh just wow!)
And I will always cherish my B’day celebration at your place :) Thanks Group N.. You guys made my day :)
Wish you all the best for your future! God Bless You!
