Ragini is one of those people who are so close to perfect, that you keep wondering how they manage to do it! She is the best friend one can have, so much so, that her friends literally fight to have her time and attention! She loves travelling and visiting new places, and she is one of the most adjusting and accommodating people I know. A very talented dancer( best in our college), gifted sportswoman ( am afraid to play badminton with her :) )and hardworking marketer ( Source for Markathon in case of shortage of articles any time), this gal from down south is truly an inspiration for all. She is also my group’s source for last minute assignment submission since she is a member of the ‘O’sum group. She is also the spokesperson of that group is out defending them all the time ( of course on orders from CIC Sria) when we discuss the “group dynamics” (read autocracy) that exists between those 6 members. The unfortunate owner of Manoranjan Ke Baaps, she is known for making the worst of selections in Kopda (Harish in first year and Me in the second year) resulting in a single win over 2 years :) . TYAAGI...I am sure that everyone likes to help others but i really think if there is any limit on how much one can help others then it should be you...I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me numerous times in what ever way possible... Perhaps the most interactive and enterprising girl on campus. she is one of those who can simply get along with anybody. it's a always a pleasure talking to her. she can spread smiles wherever she goes. extremely humble and down to earth, fun loving, talented, be it her dancing skills or her oration, she is the best at whatever she does. she is a sure asset for any organization. very few girls can be so simple and easy going. She is the laziest most active girl I have seen with a unique dim-witted brilliance that only a few can carry off. The “Yes Girl”…. Ready for anything irrespective of what, No doesn’t feature in her vocabulary. The prodigal shastrite with a bad taste in ‘Mokkai’ (PJs). The Tyagi who would willingly sacrifice a lot for her friends. Dancer extraordinaire with a passion and sincerity to what she does, a true group O’ ite.. Ragini, to me, first seemed to be this hyper-active, wants limelight kind of a person. But since the time I got to know her (within the first few weeks itself); I have been cursing myself for my worst perceptive analysis of a person!
I have known her very well individually and have also spent quite a lot of time with her as part of a huge gang of friends and I must tell you she is one of those key ‘gelling’ factors for such people groups because of the person she is. She maintains that individual connect with almost everyone and has a charisma that draws people to her. Her ability to spend time with everyone is amazing. She is simple in her thoughts and likes to see the nicer side of things always. She is an optimist at heart who is always cheerful and keeps people around her up in spirit, even if it takes a couple of unbelievably crazy jokes that she cracks. She is a people’s person to the core. She is extremely talented, a good dancer & vocalist and hardworking. She is good at writing and is a good listener (sometimes she listens with her eyes closed as well :P). She hardly gets angry at people which adds to her charming nature.
Her unique trait is that ‘aunty/mom’ role that she so naturally adorns when in a gang. I still remember a mail that she sent regarding locking suitcases properly, when we were once getting back home. She is the first person to attend to anyone who is sick. She gives that caring “don’t do that to him” statements when we guys pull people’s leg. She is extremely helpful and is sacrificial in her loving and caring. If there is something that cannot be shared by all, she is the first one to say ‘its ok, let others have”. This is something that I have always admired and looked up to in her.
She is also equally youthful and energetic about things. She has been a big drive and motivation for many of us here and can so well identify with a group of guys as if she was one. Personally, to me she has always been there as a great friend and a support listening to all the ‘not so meaningful, confusing chatter from me’
It was wonderful to have known you rags. Memories of all the night canteen walks and pulling leg sessions will always be cherished. Such moments will also be missed badly as we move ahead. The 2008 factor was big as well. To know that there is someone on the same lines as you are during our combined study sessions was such a relief. Be this wonderful person you are and I am sure you will add more people to your fan list in the years to come. Wishing you luck in whatever you do in future, be it dance, teaching or marketing!
Ragini is probably the only person on planet earth for whom friends fight against each other - this was so unbelievable as it happened very early into our IIM Shillong journey. But, i can now realize why people fought. Ragini is the friend you would love to have from the opposite sex. She's a sweet girl who will do anything for her friends. She and Harish are the only people who don't get offended when we play our pranks or when we do some serious leg-pulling on them - that makes both of them adorable not just to us but to many people on the batch.
Ragini's dancing skills are probably amongst the best - be it classical or western, she can dance with ease :) She has been our only savior on the hindi front right from day 1. She can speak very good hindi and we struggle to bargain/speak to others when we go out without ragini :D
Ragini can cook/ crack some PJs - she can do almost everything :) I still remember how we got her to give us a treat for getting her PF money - it seems weird to think of a reason for a treat ;) That is ragini for you - sweet :)
I'm so happy that she got Adhi in her life and being a person who has known both so well, i can say this is going to be a deadly couple :D Can't wait to see them together :)

Ragini---selfless, cheerful and lively, always game for fun and adventure, a great dancing damsel of IIM S, make friends with people really quick and goes to any length to sustain that friendship. She loves cooking, saving cake for girls during birthday celebrations (only BCommer who goes knocking at doors of people tin case the turnout is low). For the first time when I saw her during the elegant performance she gave at the start of life @ IIM S I thought - what is she doing here? She should be among the lead dancers of India. However, over the past couple of years I discovered she is not just a dancer but a multi-talented and multi-faceted personality. Above all, a good human being.
The story told by Harish and Paul regarding the talk you had with Adi’s father is still a fairy tale for me. Would definitely love to hear many more stories like that. Let me know when do you have time :).

If you ask me to describe her in a word, that would be multi-talented. A jovial person, who always have a smile on her face, come what may. Rags is down to earth and extremely humble. She is very talented and famous for her dancing skills. She can pull off any dance with so much ease.

Ragini- Best memories I've shared with her is Cultcomm, our dance performances and our sales role plays. She has this really contagious smile. Always up for all the outings, all the movies, and anything fun. Never will you see her not grinning. :D Dances awesome! Cracks super jokes [:P]! You cannot be sad fr too long a tym when in her company. She ll pep you up in no time. Very logical. Not necessary sticks with what other or friends have to say. Once she has made a choice, stands with it. Charm of any group wherever she goes. Cultcomm and friend circle would'nt have been complete if it were'nt for her. Ragsyyyy ... that's how i call her ... a very very special person to all of us ... she is the mother of the gang .. has the middle age syndrome ... takes care of people jus too well... ready to sacrifice anything for friends thereby earning the name tyagi :) rags is jus a wonderful person to be with !!! Extraordinary dancer she is, can pull off any kind of dance with grace and perfection, be it western classical, Bollywood or mass. :D We’ve had lots of fun during the dance practice sessions doing all weird kind of steps. :P Amazing choreographer too, she along with Payal can choreograph for any kind of song, just that the steps can be thoda girly :P :P.
Very responsible Cult comm and Bday Comm Member. Very caring about friends. The first person I spoke to from IIM Shillong.. n during the senior-junior meet wer this woman couldn’t keep her mouth shut and I was sitting rite next to her gawking at her ability to talk to random people like she has known them for years… never did I guess this gal was to be my partner in crime throughout the next two years… The first thing that strikes you is her energy and enthusiasm for life.. This gal has the heart of gold that allows her to see only good in people.. I remember her telling us (me, harish and a few others) throughout the footsteps week that the seniors were putting all these pains for our own good and this woman even when up to the stage to thank them at the end of the week.. The only person who could have an heart to thank after a gruelling week An awesome dancer who dances her heart away.. be it western classical or folk, she can do it all.. She dances with so much passion and life that it could just transport you to a different world.. The lazy bones that she is, it is a task to wake her up.. one of the very few ppl who has made bunking a habit from day one.. A thorough foodie who loves food as much as me.. a thorough south indian who loves her coffee.. a pani puri addict.. her love for good food has made us expert chefs over the course of these two years :P :P She is an awesome people’s person.. her ability to make time for everybody and strike a harmonious balance between various friends has always awed me… most importantly, one of the most caring and friendliest person on campus- a Tyaagi ( dats how we cal her :P) u can take it for granted that she’ll help u out wenever u need her… One of my best friends on campus, thanks for being der for me always.. Thyaagi (Altruist) – is the one word to describe this girl. Almost all of the time, she puts everyone else before her when taking any decision. She is a total people person who will do anything for friends. A bday comm member – that should say something. A complete extrovert that she is, her mokkai’s (PJ’s) are unbelievable. She is one who can garner 250 likes on a profile pic; such is her friends circle and such was that pose (pic of a live dance performance). That brings me to the fact that she is an excellent dancer and wants to make a career out of it. I sincerely wish that you are very successful in that, Rags! Ragini is probably the only person on planet earth for whom friends fight against each other - this was so unbelievable as it happened very early into our IIM Shillong journey. But, i can now realize why people fought. Ragini is the friend you would love to have from the opposite sex. She's a sweet girl who will do anything for her friends. She and Harish are the only people who don't get offended when we play our pranks or when we do some serious leg-pulling on them - that makes both of them adorable not just to us but to many people on the batch.
ReplyDeleteRagini's dancing skills are probably amongst the best - be it classical or western, she can dance with ease :) She has been our only savior on the hindi front right from day 1. She can speak very good hindi and we struggle to bargain/speak to others when we go out without ragini :D
Ragini can cook/ crack some PJs - she can do almost everything :) I still remember how we got her to give us a treat for getting her PF money - it seems weird to think of a reason for a treat ;) That is ragini for you - sweet :)
I'm so happy that she got Adhi in her life and being a person who has known both so well, i can say this is going to be a deadly couple :D Can't wait to see them together :)

Ragini---selfless, cheerful and lively, always game for fun and adventure, a great dancing damsel of IIM S, make friends with people really quick and goes to any length to sustain that friendship.
ReplyDeleteShe loves cooking, saving cake for girls during birthday celebrations (only BCommer who goes knocking at doors of people tin case the turnout is low). She is great at sports too and is a level headed person! She surely deserves the best of both the worlds ….. Personal ;) and Professional !

ReplyDeleteFor the first time when I saw her during the elegant performance she gave at the start of life @ IIM S I thought - what is she doing here? She should be among the lead dancers of India. However, over the past couple of years I discovered she is not just a dancer but a multi-talented and multi-faceted personality. Above all, a good human being.
The story told by Harish and Paul regarding the talk you had with Adi’s father is still a fairy tale for me. Would definitely love to hear many more stories like that. Let me know when do you have time :).

Ragini is a really sweet and multi-talented girl :) A great dancer… The grace with which she does classical dance is so admirable! Always cheerful and lively, she’s good at sports too… TT and badminton champ! And a dedicated B’comm member… Birthdays at IIM S would have never been so much fun without her! I would be doing injustice if I don’t mention about her PJ cracking skills… I think she’s taking training from Partha :P She’s got excellent communication skills and I’m sure she’ll do great in her job wherever she is! Good luck for everything Ragini! Keep smiling :)
ReplyDeleteIf you ask me to describe her in a word, that would be multi-talented. A jovial person, who always have a smile on her face, come what may. Rags is down to earth and extremely humble. She is very talented and famous for her dancing skills. She can pull off any dance with so much ease.

Ragini- Best memories I've shared with her is Cultcomm, our dance performances and our sales role plays. She has this really contagious smile. Always up for all the outings, all the movies, and anything fun. Never will you see her not grinning. :D

I can never forget the moments spent in my room all those jokes , pranks, pulling each other’s legs .. etc etc… my dance partner for the past two years .. ll never frget all those wonderful practice sessions and performances together .. its been a privilege to dance with the best dancer in college … thanks fr the great dances rags .. It’s truly been an honour…
Rags is a very special person .. extremely sweet … she has made life so pretty for all of us … full of laughs … can never say no to anything .. she is up for everything – from going to random places , to playing tt , badminton and even cricket .. watching movies… or jus for a chit chat.. anytime u ask her she will never say no … everyone says that’s her weakness but I ve always felt that it is tat quality of hers tat has won many hearts … it is tat quality tat has made her wonderful … it is tat quality tat has made her Rags !

Ragini is one extremely sweet and multi-talented girl. Whether it be Bday Comm. or CultComm, she is always seen working hard, on the fore-front of things. An extremely passionate dancer and amazing badminton player, she is a true all-rounder! Her bright smile is totally infectious and its only a matter of a few minutes before you end up joining in her laughter.

R for Ragini , R for respect. :) I have full respect for the kind of person she is. Ever smiling, cheerful, jovial, chilled girl. Ready to help anybody anytime for anything and hence the nickname, ‘Tyagi’. I’ve never heard her saying NO for anything. Be it bakar or dance or going outside or having fun, she is up for anything. One person u’ll enjoy hanging out with for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteExtraordinary dancer she is, can pull off any kind of dance with grace and perfection, be it western classical, Bollywood or mass. :D We’ve had lots of fun during the dance practice sessions doing all weird kind of steps. :P Amazing choreographer too, she along with Payal can choreograph for any kind of song, just that the steps can be thoda girly :P :P.
Very responsible Cult comm and Bday Comm Member. Very caring about friends. She along with Ramya together has always got gifts for everyone of us on our respective bdays. :) Would never forget all the bakar sessions, conversations, leg pulling we have had in Harish’s room and our movie watching trips. :)

The first person I spoke to from IIM Shillong.. n during the senior-junior meet wer this woman couldn’t keep her mouth shut and I was sitting rite next to her gawking at her ability to talk to random people like she has known them for years… never did I guess this gal was to be my partner in crime throughout the next two years…
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that strikes you is her energy and enthusiasm for life.. This gal has the heart of gold that allows her to see only good in people.. I remember her telling us (me, harish and a few others) throughout the footsteps week that the seniors were putting all these pains for our own good and this woman even when up to the stage to thank them at the end of the week.. The only person who could have an heart to thank after a gruelling week
An awesome dancer who dances her heart away.. be it western classical or folk, she can do it all.. She dances with so much passion and life that it could just transport you to a different world.. The lazy bones that she is, it is a task to wake her up.. one of the very few ppl who has made bunking a habit from day one..
A thorough foodie who loves food as much as me.. a thorough south indian who loves her coffee.. a pani puri addict.. her love for good food has made us expert chefs over the course of these two years :P :P
She is an awesome people’s person.. her ability to make time for everybody and strike a harmonious balance between various friends has always awed me… most importantly, one of the most caring and friendliest person on campus- a Tyaagi ( dats how we cal her :P) u can take it for granted that she’ll help u out wenever u need her…
One of my best friends on campus, thanks for being der for me always.. Patiently listening to my constant rants and cheering me up.. You have a special place in my heart :) :)

I have hardly seen her say no in these 2 years. AS soon as any mail is dropped for interest in anything, she will hit ‘Reply All’ with ‘I am ready :)’ :P!!

Thyaagi (Altruist) – is the one word to describe this girl. Almost all of the time, she puts everyone else before her when taking any decision. She is a total people person who will do anything for friends. A bday comm member – that should say something. A complete extrovert that she is, her mokkai’s (PJ’s) are unbelievable. She is one who can garner 250 likes on a profile pic; such is her friends circle and such was that pose (pic of a live dance performance). That brings me to the fact that she is an excellent dancer and wants to make a career out of it. I sincerely wish that you are very successful in that, Rags! Rags, you are someone whom I really look up to and wish I could be like you at least to some degree. My respect for you cannot be described in few words! Keep in touch!
