Priyansh is the quintessential Gujju - a hardcore vegetarian (he even confirms with the waiters at restaurants if the Paneer dish or Tomato Soup he's ordered is veg or not), and keeps meticulous tab on the cents & pennies he's spent. But, unlike most Gujjus, industriousness isn't an attribute that can really be associated with him. In fact, he's the very opposite of that - I haven't ever seen a guy who can sleep like him. And boy does he love his marathon slumbers!!! And well, let me not speak about his impeccable attendance on a public forum :)
Priyansh has been a great friend of mine. We've stayed on opposite rooms for nearly two years now, and in this time I've got to know this fellow quite well. More so because he was my first smoke-buddy in this campus - which, by the way, we still are. He's a helpful, friendly and cheerful person. He swears by Sachin "99 Centuries" Tendulkar, is forever hooked on to facebook, and devours TV series like only he can.
Its been really great knowing him - the numerous wing cricket matches we've played, the casual conversations and laughs we've had, the arguments that we've had on sports, the numerous smokes we've taken from each other, and so much more. And now that he'll be joining UB Group soon, rest assured I'm going to make it a point to stay in touch with him in order to make full use of whatever perks he gets there :)
Priyansh and I have been neighbors for the past two years and the first thing you will say after meeting him is - This guy is definitely a marketing student. A very confident person who can give awesome presentation with minimum preparation. He is also my fellow group member and I owe my Capstone Simulation grade to him because of his efforts in the group task. Priyansh is cricket lover and a fanatic of Sachin. He has by hearted various stats of Sachin's batting and can beat you in any bet( if you dare to challenge). He loves to debate on various topics and will not budge until he is point is clearly put across. He does have some weird sleeping timings but now we have become used to it:P:P
It was really great to have him as a neighbor in these two years ahead and he'll always rock!!!
‘Ed ka Chaand’ Gujju, rarely seen in the mess or classes, always found sleeping and surviving on fast-food. A very dynamic and intelligent person with good communication and analytical skills. Had great time participating in various competitions with him and learnt a lot from him on how to make ppts. Also the Guwahati trip with him for Images Group Project was wonderful. He is really a hard working guy and can participate in multiple competitions at a time. Wish you a great life ahead!
A quintessential Surti, I will remember him the most for "Is the Tomato Soup veg" or "Is veg. spring roll veg"; apart from his marathon sleeps. He is one of the most friendly people around. Despite the legendary laziness, he is capable of great hard work when he puts his mind to it - this I found during his participation of competitions (including his fabled performance in CAPSTONE) and during our IIM-B visit.
The second most loyal TONdulkar fan in the campus (I know that he beat the most loyal sachin fanatic in a 'sachin stats' bet), he can bid adieu to his sleep in order to watch the master play - and that is something in itself.
He has been a great companion especially on our journeys home or back (during which I have seen more of him than in the entire trimester, although we are neighbours :P).
Leaving the jest aside, Priyansh(u) {Priyansh please pardon my jesting again and I assure this would be the last time} has been a good friend and it has been a pleasure to have known him.
The kumbhakaran of the batch quite literally. His ability to sleep is legendary (once slept for 18 hours nonstop). The rest of us wakeup for breakfast whereas Modi wakes up for the evening snacks :)
When awake though, he is a great fun to be with. The most fun moments come when we go to a restaurant with him. The hard core vegetarian that he is we just enjoy him ordering at the table. His orders go like tomato soup veg, paneer butter masala veg, naan veg :):):)
Here are some of Mr. Modi's other unforgettable quotes 'Amazing' 'Actually' 'ayya' and the best 'Guys, please don't spam'.
A cricket fan and a Sachin fannatic, his best comes out when he defends Sachin from any sort of criticism leveled against him...
Fun aside once he sets his heart on a task he excels at it. The best example of this would be the Capstone simulation. His enthusiasm and skill at it was simply amazing. He is one of those who never back off and only settles when he achieves what he set out for. Also a very confident person. I remember the IIMB event where he was constantly reassuring me of our chances at the competition. I am sure he would go places in the future...
A great guy and a very good friend to have. Do keep in touch dude...
Priyansh bhai modi...u can either call him "The smoking Gujju" or "The sleeping Gujju".Missed the "most unkempt room" prize last Diwali by a whisker.Filled with more energy than actually required for survival :).Very passionate about poker, games and wills. All in all an intelligent and industrious guy whos is destined to make it large in life...
Modi sahab lives life King Size- true to the name of company he got through. You can find him either smoking or sleeping. He won't bath for days. His room doesn't witness a broom since months. Perhaps the laziest of all fellows. But when it comes to competitions or watching any TV series he can sacrifice his hours of sleep and lose the track of time. Wish u great success ahead mate. Keep Smiling always :)
I owe partial responsibility to the signature of this guy "The name is Priyansh, not PriyanshU" [;)], Priyansh or Priansuuuu whatever u like to call, he won't mind at all. He is my group mate, my friend who desperately likes to compete me over the topic of Sachin, but could never taste success [:P] Yes, we shared a lot of things here, for e.g. in 1st year, when there was no water in my hostel, I used to go straight to his washroom as it was the cleanest of the lot [;)], and then of course, the group assignments, the column in front of his name in the attendance sheet etc. etc. :) But, to tell you 'actually', you were & are an awesome friend to have, and I look forward to have an equally awesome time (or rather "GOOD TIMES") in the company, though we'll not be at the same location :( All the best mate :)
Priyansh, a highly talented person. A hard-working ConQuest member and who always worked for varuous events. He is a person whose room is so much filled with the stuff that it's difficult to find place for sitting. Priyansh is a fun-loving and a charming person who debates with me but then understands very well that debates are necessary to bring out the best from the discussion. He is a person who can sleep while his classes are on and still manage to get required attendance, a sign of an efficient manager. A true friend who is always ready for doing anything for his friends. I wish him all the very best for his future endeavours!
Priyanshooo---->My Gujju Dost....Seriously a very uniques person you won't find anywhere else...I think he lives in a different timezone all together...But he is a great friend and I had lot outings with him. I think he is very brilliant but doesn't show it like many others. Having lot of competitions with him I know he has lot of ideas and he could become a great businessman. He has to work a bit on sleeping early and getting up early as MBA is about to be over. I hope he does great in future(including UB).
Priyansh like all Gujjus savours all delicacies of Gujarat. Food is something he cannot compromise on …you can see a mail from him asking for people who have gone out to PB (so that they can bring him food), in the mess he eats mostly Maggi. An enthusiast about events that he is you can see him doing more than 4 events at the same time and succeeding in quite a few. He has this talent of going to hibernate mode where he’ll sleep at length for close to a week but will get done with the work assigned to him be it ConQuest or studying. Hope to see you excel in life Priyansh :)
Priyansh- Who loves his room. Hardly knows the difference between daylight and night. Can live on Kurkure for more than a week. Can do without having a bath for days. Laziness and Priyansh go hand in hand :P :P Has this extreme fondness for poker. Sorry for having you pinged fromm all the random gmail id's just to irritate you. :P Unfortunately, [:P] I have to stand all this for the coming times also.. :P Cia in Bangalore! :)
When Modi was a little boy and probably in Kindergarden, his teacher recited him the baby rhyme "Twinkle Twinkle little Star" and ever since then he grew so fascinated that he would lock himself in the room and day dream about Stars. This fascination has turned into an obsession now and he could be hardly seen now, not even when there are starry nights. A very simple guy and an attitude that is way below his knees. I always see Priyansh as someone who understands that life is much more than the books and the classes. Though it would be incomplete description without mentioning that he was the one who scored maximum CAT percentile in our batch. I got a chance to work along with Priyansh for some of the competitions and it was really great to witness the thought process he has got; uncoventional and out-of-box. Wish you all the best Dude !
Modi must have seen more sunrises than any other person in Shillong in the last two years. This fact about his existence makes it to the first paragraph, deservedly.
Modi is one of the people in the batch who always used to get my jokes. I really appreciate him for that. The other thing I appreciate him for is how he is managing to pass the PGDM course with an unbelievable amount of rule breaking.
There are many things I could say about Modi. If I had to take two traits from him, I would take his dynamism and his ability to talk really convincingly.
Priyansuuuu :P , that’s how his name was tweaked and now is popular as. Very intelligent, lazy guy who loves to do more of competitions kind of work. Has a lot of fresh ideas wrt marketing domain and chooses do something different generally in any kind of work that he is involved in. As known to all , He is a die-hard fan of Sachin and can even go to the extent of vying for Sachin’s century over India’s win in a match :P
Loves doing Capstone Simulation kind of stuff and yes credit goes to him, many of his tactics and strategies worked and we could finish in the top. Would never forget the heated discussions we had over capstone in Rishi’s room and his last min tweaking without informing most of us :P.
