  2. Meet Sabareesh. Former Nerd with thick moustache turned awesomeness in the second year. Be rest assured that nerd still lives inside of him and comes out every time some work needs to be done. He’s the biggest pain in my neck in the college is putting it mildly. The guy works so hard himself that you feel ashamed to be in the same team and not work at all! Be it club work, project or any competition, his commitment to the cause is seconded by none. But his ability to smile through all of it, amidst flurry of curses for being the biggest workaholic, is what stands out. He could be up till 6 am working on some competition and yet will laugh about the smallest of matters at that point. His love for the game of TT and his effort to master it is just another testament to his ability to work on anything he likes.
Forgot to mention that he’s also a traitor who ditched IT to pursue a career in marketing and God bless what shall happen to the education field now! Anyways, Best of luck to you on that and am sure am going to hear your names amongst the most successful ones in our batch someday. Cheers!

  3. Hey ....remember or forgot the way we compete who will sleep more? who will bunk more classes? in first year. Yes, you are right here I am talking about my first year room mate a pure hearted, intelligent and hardworking guy.

I always appreciate his understanding behavior that despite my hours of talking in phones and late night studies, he was always cooperative. Best of luck dude and thanks for giving some of the best time that I spent with you in my life...:)

  4. Awesomeness! That is the one word description of Rabasheesh. He is one person who has kept himself busy throughout the 2 years. He is studying, doing assignments/competitions, touring any/all nearby places, playing TT, chatting with any girl he finds cute, attending dates with his numerous fans, mentoring (mentees list to be taken note of), listening to hindi songs or doing something else. He is never idle :) He is a very dedicated guy and one guy who puts his mind into marketing, in our batch. While most others get lost in doing bakar, he is one guy who approaches non-quant subjects also with a discerning mind and stays away from empty bakar. He has a clear perspective on most things and stands by it in any discussion. He can get along with any group and has no inhibitions whatsoever, or if there was any, he has shed it completely in these 2 years. He is the guy who has transformed the most in these 2 years. From pandu goyya (nerd is a close translation) looks to the new stud/rockstar look :) I am just talking abt looks coz that’s apparent. Even otherwise, he is one guy who has used these 2 years properly to better himself.

Saba, keep rocking! And enjoy life the way you always do. I am sure you will go places. All the best and Keep in touch ;)

  5. Saba aka awesomeness. Everyone in the batch would agree has changed drastically in the last 2 years (for the good!!!). His achievements are well known. Hard working to the core, he never leaves anything undone or less than perfect to his satisfaction. Sabareesh, the guy who competes with a few others for coming to class last every morning, is extremely helpful. I remember the time, when i required his cooling pad for a few days and without any hesitance he simply gave it to me. Good luck with your future!!!!

  6. I did not know much about Sabareesh till we went on that killer trip to the double root bridge.

There are many traits which I find very impressive. For one, he is very fit :) Secondly, he is really humble and takes care of people.

He came to the campus with a mustache and a TT playing style which people made fun of. But, Saba improved in TT beyond imagination and his mustache is now long gone.

The trip with Sabareesh was truly awesome and I found him awesome. I wish him all the best.

  7. Awesomeness!!!! Computer whiz, marketing guru, playboy, dancing champ and many more. A very sincere and focussed guy, whatever he touches invariably turns to gold. He’s a very good friend, who is there for anyone who needs help. Has an insatiable thirst for adventure, hope you scale the Everest da… the growth of his prowess from a TT noob to ‘the champ’ shows the level of conviction and hard work that he puts in when his mind is set on something. We enjoyed preparing the awesomeness campaign for you da... It came out even better because we truly believed in your awesomeness... Compared to you "Sab are eesh" :P (sorry fr a second I jumped into Vinoth mode :D) Nothing is impossible for you Raba….May your Awesomeness grow, spread and enlighten the world :)

  8. Sabareesh...One of my group mates about whom my impression changed thoroughly. I still remember when we had an argument regarding accounts assignment submission and after that with each term my understanding with this guy became better and better. He is very dedicated, hardworking and if you have assigned him some work, rest assured that will be done. His transformation ( from with-mustache to without-mustache) was also awesome and everybody treats him as a HUNK in the campus..Requested him a lot to give me some tips but he always avoids that. Worked with him in two competitions and I must say he puts in a lot of efforts. He produces some high quality of work and I can never forget his style of presentation..:)

Thank you so much mate for everything and I am really sorry if I have hurt you in any ways. Keep in touch and wish u loads of success

A man who has undergone the most ‘AWESOME’ metamorphosis that all of us have ever witnessed.. An adventure lover who wants to derive the maximum from the two years at Shillong.. The workaholic who continuously strives to better his work ( he is Awesomeness, he has no comparable :P) and a true blue IT brain.. a marketing Whiz kid.. this guy continues to amaze us all the time.. a caring and helpful friend with a golden heart.. Stay Awesome always :) :) All the best :)

  11. Most of the discussions between me and Sabareesh have happened over table tennis matches. This guy didn’t know how to play tt when he stepped into IIM Shillong and now, 2 years later, he can give the best players a run for their money.
An extremely smart and jovial fellow, I don’t think there’s anyone as awesome as him, he volunteered to star in a video which was made to make fun of him, and did it with such nonchalance that it spoke volumes about his patience and his carefree attitude.
A sharp marketer, he always comes up with out of the box solutions to problems and this is evident in him being a regular competition finalist. He’s always managed to surprise us like the radical transformation after his intern stint in Delhi among other things.
Have a dazzling career ahead mate!

    Cheers!

  12. It's a shame that i know very little about this guy despite being his classmate for 6 years (but that's how I am :)). He's got a helping tendency which very few people can boast of - he helps people with the IT stuff and with many other things on campus (i remember how he made my education loan process easy by suggesting a bank). Some of our UG incidents meant that I have always maintained my distance with him - this has continued till date. But, i believe he's someone who forgets everything that other people do to him - (making fun of raba serves to awesomeness campaigns to raba dancing steps)

His aptitude for IT and Marketing is amazing. He's a very sincere worker (Group K and the IT Club would have realised that by now ).

Wish you all the very best for your future and hope to see you around :)

  14. Saba the man with a moustache is what I remember of him from first year apart from his awesome TT skills. He achieved overnight stardom status when he bagged internship in Vivaki (the reason is known to all). Chivalrous, ready to help others even if that means avoiding playing TT, frequents library to stay up-to-date with Marketing gyaan. Being an IT Comm member he has answered numerous queries and solved many a problems with people’s lappy. Knows stuff about IT and gadgets, this gyaan is definitely unparalled in our batch.
Awesomeness or Rabasheesh is sure to achieve great heights in his career! Good luck :)

  15. Sabareesh is really a great guy to know. Consequently, I've been lucky to have had him in the same study group. Over the numerous interactions that I've had with him over various things, I came to realize here is a guy who is hardworking, sincere & dedicated, yet also with a simple & decent nature, and a friendly disposition. The best times we probably had was during Capstone - over the numerous arguments & debates we had over nearly every aspect of the game, I realised what a sharp & analytical mind he has. It was really fun to take our team, from the bottom of the rubble to nearly the top position - what a late but spectacular take-off it was!

And boy does Saba love the game of TT! I guess, even if the room allocated to him had been taken back by the college authorities, he wouldn't really face any problems with that - after all he spends more time in the TT room than everywhere else combined. But I'm really sad that he's changed his style of service - we all used to love the older, over-the-top one. People often crack jokes at his extravagant style of speaking, but he takes everything in his stride with a smile - this is one trait I've really come to appreciate about him.

Here's wishing this smart, hardworking & cheerful guy great times ahead!

  16. I had known this guy right from my CAT coaching classes in Chennai. He used to solve the sums in a jiffy and came across to me as a geek. Then we met in IIM Shillong Chennai meet where he introduced himself with the trademark shaking of the head and “knocking door hand movement”. How some things remain the same :D

One word with which I can describe Saba or Raba best is “Transformation”. Perhaps no one has gone such a big changeover as saba. Right from the only guy who got a bleeding wound on his head while playing TT and the one with a clumsy, funny TT serve to the guy who now owns a TT racket and can give any TT big TT player a run for their money, Saba has done it. From the guy who was imitated as Rabashish in PDP to the now successfully running AWESOMENESS campaign, Saba has achieved it. I guess Ramya was the reason for all this as she swapped her Delhi intern for Saba’s Chennai intern :P:P. What we saw in the second year was Raba Reloaded :D. Moustache gone, supreme confidence in and none of the geekiness that I had seen initially :).He took up dancing seriously and went from Mr Bean kinda dance to pucca contemporary and freestyle.

A few months back a junior came and told me “ Boss, u seniors are taking all the junior gals. What can we do?”. I was wondering whom the junior was referring to and I thought it was famous people like Harish, Partha, Paul etc. But it turned out to be Saba. :D:D. Gals were found swooning over him and frequented his room much more than what we did. A trekking freak who never lets go of any opportunity to find new places and has acted our guide on numerous occasions. :D. It was a nice opportunity to have been with him who provided many fun filled moments  And I m sure we ll stay in touch in Mumbai. Awaiting many more places like the “Waterfalls” u took us to in Sacred forest :D:D Good luck :)

  17. Awesomeness!! The best illustration of which is that there is light in his room alone even when the whole hostel is in darkness!! Anything can happen with Sabareesh :) A fun to be with and jovial guy who can take all the leg pulling targeted at him very sportingly… He never fails to provide entertainment to all the guys around even at the cost of volunteering to become the centre of all the jokes! Very friendly and very helpful at any time… Really committed when it comes to work… let it be anything! He’s the first person I met in our batch (in the GD/PI). Looking at his confidence then, I was sure he would get through, something I wasn’t sure about myself :) Plays excellent TT, and adventurous in nature, loves exploring places. All the TT matches we have played and all our trips in Gurgaon are memorable! He sure has the capability to make IIMS proud by getting to one of the top positions in the near future! Good luck Sabareesh… Keep spreading the happiness and awesomeness as always! :)

  18. Awesomness it is for all of us! We will love addressing you that way even after 20 years! Saba is one person whose life has taken a nice little swing for the better so visibly and dramatically during my two years of stay here. Sabareesh walked into IIM Shillong as that characteristic Tam Bram from South India (Apologies for the stereotyping). A studious, nerdy and conservative guy who with a characteristic head shake while talking and an intriguing TT serve style (for which he was noticed and brought to limelight in one of the initial PDP sessions). If someone was to meet Saba now, he is a changed person indeed! It is just about ‘Babes’ and ‘dudes’ in his parlance and spring and a song in his steps. Dinner at Alpine is among some of Saba’s favourites here and can anyone forget the Awesomeness campaign that Harish and Sid had planned for him! Undoubtedly the star of the show with his sportive nature was our Awesomeness

Sabareesh is a very hardworking guy and I mean it when I say that. He takes up a task and masters it sheer out of Practice. Be it Table Tennis or guitar or flirting (may be the last one was an inherent ability). This is one quality I admire in him. Very few have the drive to learn something new and strive for excellence in that at a PG level. Sabareesh is sincere when it comes to work and have looked up to his abilities at IT and also post-internship; he has been marketing stalwart as well. Confidence – This word rings in my ear when I think of Saba. He is good at heart and is always for the good of people around him and is sacrificial of his own interests which is a trait that very few possess today.

Your classic line at Sawan’s room to Baba, me and Sawan will be my best remembered moment and I will laugh about it for a long time. Saba it was great knowing you. I know out of the few small but good conversations that I have had, you thirst for knowledge and learning new things is something that I admire. You have a structured thought process and are good at teaching. Be the same person you are and I hope you continue learning skills in life and will soon be an excellent guitarist. I am sure you will do wonders at Zee Learn. I am looking forward to see you at a high position soon. All the very best

Wish you a great life ahead!!
