Though many people make jokes and fun at this person and call him by different (nick)names, I know he is perhaps the most calm, but extremely composed person and the STAR performer in our batch. Being my group mate (Group C :) :)), I know much about him right from the beginning. Despite having ardent passion in Finance subjects, he is an all rounder and very very active in all the group related activities. He is very appealing and jovial with his typical Bengali accent (phrases like "ekto baar hoga"; "mota moti"), which makes him different. He always motivates and pacifies others with a cool mind all the times. I wish a very great future to our TAS manager.
“Giant Krazy Ball” is one of the most down to earth persons I have ever met. A FinClub mate – he has great knowledge and article writing skills. An ardent lover of the citric acid, he has been caught numerous times smuggling lemon and oranges from the mess (he was caught once hiding six oranges in his pocket). A really dedicated Hostel Committee member. He would listen to everybody’s grievances when everybody screamed at him with any fault of his.
The Hero from Kaliaganj made our batch proud. The best thing I liked about him was his sense of appreciating humour directed towards him. I would remember your “Crorepati Goli” forever. Will never forget the laughter sessions that we have had together.
A rare cross between marwaris and bengalis he brings in the best of both worlds. A guy with amazing convincing skills.A house of laughter and crazy stuff.A very committed hoscommer and dedicated gymmer.
The best part about our beloved jayanto is his open hearted and broad minded attitude towards things.A helpful guy who is eager to learn.
From the simple lemon devouring boy next door to becoming a TAS manager, this guy has experienced all colours of life.
His name is sufficient to bring a smile on the face of any mortal! An antique creature born with a golden spoon...a paradigm of how to get famous in the most unusual way! Was a treat to be with you..Cheers!
Jayant or Giant ? No matter how people would refer to him he is so indifferent about their sarcasm and criticism. I had the opportunity of working with him for all these 2 years as fellow Hostel-commer. Hostel Management would have been a real mess for us, if he was not around. He is an expert at handling people and treating them appropriately. His logic is always unbeatable and he has mastered this art all the more during this PG course. An irrefutable expert suggestion is always at his sleeves and can even the toughest of the talks go in his favour, so easily. He has been a sincere person all through his academics and whatever work he has ever been entrusted with. It would be no exaggeration if I quote Jayant is a hallmark of sincerity and hard work. All the best dude for your future !
Jayant is a guy with a lot of drive in him...He would not only drive himself but also groups he is a part of..At Fin Club..he would be the first to do the work for which he took responsibility and then drive others to do the same...true to his maadu genes, entrepreneurship and investing come naturally to him... with his hard work and talent, he will surely achieve whatever he wants to... All the very best and hope to see you as a TATA CEO one day...:)
Apart from his liking for a particular citrus fruit, I will remember Joyanto as a dedicated, hardworking and sincere guy - both for studies and whatever else he had to do. He has been the man driving the "mess" of the Hostel (no pun intended) and we must be thankful to him for some of the innovations in the mess menu. I enjoyed discussing a lot with him on stock markets, especially during the first year when we were wing-mates and had a common interest towards investing.
Last but not the least, I will never forget Jayant commending Arnab Saha for his serve (with the legendary 'Good One') while playing TT against him.
I am sure with his positive spirit, dedication and hard work, Jayant is going to reach great heights.
Jayant is one of those determined person who once sets his eyes on anything will sweat hard to achieve it. Jolly natured, dedicated to his duties, loves lemons and arranges for Onions on demand :P An avid investor, follows markets (esp Primary markets) and was a fin enthusiast until TAS happened. Surely he deserves to be a part of TAS! Good luck Jayant.. Hope you have a great life ahead!
Jayant Kejriwal - The Man, The Brand can't be expressed in words because mere words wouldn't be sufficient to justify this guy's greatness. Jayant has many nicknames and is always the source of all jokes due to his street-like nature and down-to-earth attitude towards life. If I have seen someone changing like hell in these 2 years its our own 'Lord' Jayant. I have known him since the footsteps got over at IIMS. He would share everything with me be it his aspirations or his frustrations. Jayant is that kind of a person who is ambitious by heart but he can celebrate imperfections with all the truth in his heart.
Jayant is passionate for many things - finance, entrepreneurship, B-plans or eating out. His love for food would make him spend atleast 1hr at the mess ending up with his favourite lemons and digestive medicines. He knows his own interests and would never interfere with anyone else. This guy can be an epitome of taking everything in the right spirit and I would salute him for his perseverance in life. In the initial MBA years, he would lose his cool frequently, but this guy is so smart he improves himself by self-talk and gf talks. We would talk through the night on many things ranging from philosophy, people, girls to career, competitions, industry and every damn thing in this world. He has become more social in these two years and I find him a very genuine person who can sometimes exaggerate and over motivate others but keeps himself humble and modest. We used to play TT as a team and he would give his classic quotes like - 'Good One', 'BadBad' ,etc after each shot. He is used to my loud music as he has been my neighbour and he wouldn't complain a single time. Jayant apart from his passion towards food, he has a nice habit of being very streetly- he would confide everything what he used to do in kaliaganj and would draw analogies to the city grown geniuses.
Jayant never portrays himself as a ambitious guy but he is very talented and wise. Apart from Fin subjects, he takes interests in other subjects as well but would never read a Acad Case or any pre-class readings. But still he would do the necessary CP and would outshine many people. Jayant is the only man in our batch who can truly be said 'He has made it Large' and would continue to rock in future. I hope jayant becomes a CEO of a top TATA company and recruits me under him. Jayant - 'Your self belief is what make you and your imperfectness is what makes you the most special guy in our batch, Improve but dont change yourself, you rock and you are a gem who can be an inpsiration. I wish you a very successful personal life and yeah your professional life is already successful.
Proud to be a part of “Group C” – that of “The TAS Manager” from IIM Shillong – Jayant Kejriwal :) Hardworking, passionate, dedicated, sincere, and highly ambitious – to describe some of the qualities of Jayant. Very innovative in his ideas – with a great passion for entrepreneurship. Very responsible hostel committee member – always helpful and never says no to anyone’s demands in the mess :) Has many leader like qualities – which have come more into visibility after TAS happened… :D Though a lil short tempered at times… he takes all the leg pulling targeted at him in the right spirit :) Always encourages right talent… Perfect fit for a TAS manager! Good luck with your future..!! You will surely reach great heights in your career! :)
Jayant... hardly used this name...coz he has so many names that this Testimonial would get over if I just jot down them.. ;) This guy has such a personality that he catches all the limelight wherever he goes. So if its your birthday party then invite him at your own risk coz once he is there no else would care to bother whose birthday it is... All focus would be solely on him ;) A bengali- marwari mixture, he never likes things unorganised and recently can be seen running and skipping in Gym in his short 'Nikker' under the guidance of Padhi. Its great fun to be with him and enjoy his 'X-ray' observation skills :P Apart from this funny side of him, he is very good at delegating the work too. Never takes too much tension but knows it very well what he has to do. He is the BIG Shot of IIM Shillong and I am sure he will achieve great heights in his life. We became very good friends as early as in the foot steps session and used to crack lot of jokes sitting in class. (Remember that CV guidance Episode :P). Never change anything about yourself because this is how we love you. I am sure our friendship will not end with this programme but would continue forever. All the best :)
Dedicated, hardworking and a sincere person with a lot of interest in Entrepreneurship. He has a passion for finance but he used to do assignments for all subjects with equal dedication. It was nice working with u in Group-C and of course I will always remember the fun in all those “nautankis” of sales class. All the best TAS manager!!!!!!!!!!!!
I met Joyonto for the first time during the Achievers' Workshop conducted by IMS. Two years down the line he didn't just to justice to the name of that workshop but even went beyond that when he was selected by TAS. He's a cheerful, easy-going, friendly and fun-loving guy who is really easy to befriend. Despite the fun some people like to have with him, he nearly always takes them in his stride with good humour & great composure. He's a nice & simple-natured person but with quiet determination & desire to excel. I'm sure he'll continue working hard while in TAS & bring laurels for himself & everyone around him.
Jayant Kejriwal is perhaps the most famous personality of our Floor and does attract attention like a magnet attracts iron. He is a very innocent person and patiently smiles whenever people like Somjeet or Amrit start taking digs at him. The chart outside his room was the first to get filled up and undoubtedly he has the highest number of names and adjectives attached to him. I have seen his dedication in whatever he does, be it CFA, studies or Hostel Committee work, Jayant has done it wit equal amount of zeal. He has been almost always been at the receiving end of all the jokes and has born it with the same innocent expression always. His true potential was identified when the same innocence and honesty of his bagged him the most precious placement at IIM Shillong. Jayant, TAS is definitely taking you to places. Please do not forget us :P :P
If you want to know what is the power of a lemon- you can witness the impact a lemon had on the life of this simple looking TAS Manager. A lemon can change a Boka into Boxer (as mentioned by Muthu) :P. On a serious note, this guy is really hard-working but would never discuss about his work. He is a simple person who will not get into any brawl until and unless you provoke him too hard. He contributes his times honestly to all his works and works in a very systematic and timely manner. It was worth knowing more of him on the Delhi trip for CFA. Bro you have long way to go. Be as simple as you have been. Keep Smiling Always:)
A true hostel comm member, he will never let food to be wasted :)..he has this fetish for lemons and can happily eat mess food no matter how tasteless it is if there are lemons available :) A person who only speaks straight from his heart, no manipulation whatsoever!! TAS has surely made the right selection and he will go places courtesy his no nonsense attitude and simplistic nature.. Wishing all the best to him!!
Jayant..I still remember this guy seating near me in one of those boring lectures during footsteps. We both used to hate those lectures from the bottom of our heart. In the first year we used to study together accounts and there used to be lots of gossips. I love to tease this guy and he will reply nahinnnn aisaaaa nahiiin haiii..He is just an awesome guy, loves stocks. Even though he will be a TAS manager and I am sure he wont change..
Thanks a lot Jayant for everything and keep in touch..:)
Among the most under rated guys in our batch, he has come out on trumps in getting the coveted job of all MBAs. He has been at the receiving end of lot of my pranks and has taken them all sportingly. Having a great attitude towards life, he is not bogged down by conventions and believes in treading his own path. He has read very few of the cases assigned to us, but from the ones he has, he’s always manage to make keen observations and displays tremendous affinity towards anything to do with the stock markets. Contrary to popular belief, he is very well read in terms of the different news articles he browses daily. He also has the most poignant quotes as his gtalk status messages.
I respect and admire you deeply. Have a shining career ahead.
A very sportive guy who made it to TAS. Down to earth and loves to read a lot. Not to forget backbone of hostel committee. I really wonder how this chap has so much patience in the mess when every one would be complaining or pulling his leg. I would be disturbing him a lot in his wing during the parties,. but he never complained.
All the best Dude.. Keep Rocking. Hope to see u in CXO position soon.
" no no ll tell u wat .. the fault is on our side .. i dont think the batch quality is good at all .. i dont think this batch deserves to be in an IIM " this was the reply jayant gave when i had complained about Seniors during footsteps.. that is jayant for u .. ready to accept the mistakes and always eager to improve.. I have always seen him take all the digs by jitesh, amrit, hemant etc etc in such a sporting manner .. it used to be fun watching deep and jitesh pick on jayant but he would never play spoilsport .. the oly reaction wud be to smile back or ask innocently wat mistake have i committed ... yes jayant is very innocent but extremely intelligent.. his love for finance was evidently seen when he had organised that trading game during pdp .. a big time investor/trader i always thought he ll be one of those buffets/jhunjhunwalas one day .. but destiny had other plans :) :) He is an extremely popular person in class.. the way the class cheers for him when jayant comes with an expert analysis (DP rather) is a real treat to watch ! it was really fun being wit u in sec 1 Jayant... he is an open book be it his love for lemons or sonia he has never hid things from friends ( most things .. i still remember u getting caught wit ur gf jayant.. hahaha damn funny it was ) A real sincere guy when it comes to hostel comm issues.. extremely humble .. down to earth guy ...and whenever u think of Jayant he brings a smile on to ur face :) wat more can one ask for :) :)
Attributes which separate Jayant from most others are his honesty and humbleness. A very sincere and hard working person. My train partner who loves to give surprises to Rishi Raj. In our first year, though he was in leftist C wing, he used to spend most of times in the rightist C wing. Jayant, you remember the surprise room check you performed once in Arnav's room...His down to earth nature makes him a very good friend of everyone. Also a very dedicated Hoss comm member who has to hear a lot of complains from people.
This the just the beginning of his bright carrier. Keep us the same spirit and you would make a mark for yourself.God bless you and be in touch.
Jayant is one of the best man-manager I have seen and he is as comfortable talking to a mess-worker as he is to any CEO (I have seen him doing both)...his view on any topic is very practical and you can’t stop admiring the simplicity of the logic.
We have had long talks during the internship on various topics and it was fun with him being around, we both share a love for eating and would almost daily spent an hour in the evening trying various delicacies of Ahmedabad...you deserve all the success and may you achieve everything you aim for...stay in touch
Jayant Kejriwal... so innocuous a character. Very bright and very friendly. Always ready to accept faults and very candid in underlying your shortcomings.
Thanks bhai.. for providing me 'The Hindu' continuously for two years.
I don't think anybody knows it but he has amazing flexibility in his body. He can easily touch 7 feet with his legs.
My neighbour in first year :) I remember the first time talking to him apprehensively thinking he was a senior :D. That is the amount of maturity with which this guy speaks :) Although Jayant would be the butt of all jokes he would dismiss it casually. Teaming up with Amrit, we both would end up pulling each other’s legs. An excellent Hos Comm member who ensures that everyone has eaten their food even after the mess hours have closed. Now a TAS manager, who would be heading any of the TATAS in a few years down the line. Wish u great success in ur career.
From Crazyball to TASO, this guy has remained the same old sweet Jayant v had known from Year 1.. A very down to earth person and extremely dedicated to Hostel Comm.. Handles all mess issues with a lot of maturity and patience ..Always makes sure 1) People don go hungry even if they turn up a little after mess timings 2) People dun waste food... Have always admired your entrepreneurial spirit and I am sure you are gonna make it big some day.. So here is wishing you the best of things in life..n dun ever let that trademark smile of urs fade :) ATB and Cheers :)
Hey Jayant You'll walways be known as the first TAS manager from IIM Shillong :) I hope you get amazing success in all what you want to do and what the world wants you to do !! Wish you loads of success dear hoscommer :) Keep smiling humesha :) Miss me :P
When i think of Jayant, Hostel Comm and TAS comes to my mind :)
As a Hostel Comm member, he has always ensured that we get food to eat at anytime :) We have seen him being at the receiving end of many complaints the moment he enters the mess - but he has always been patient in listening to them and sees to that people leave satisfied :)
I still remember the discussion we had in my room in the first year about marks being awarded for class participation - hope you remember too :P
TAS - I have the privilege of being among the last two people alongside Jayant to reach the directors' interview round :) Jayant deserved to get through that day and he rightly did so too :) The lasting memory about Jayant would be seeing him get a gift for his girl-friend in Kolkata airport the moment we landed - it was memorable :)
Hope you go to achieve greater heights in life and hope to see you around :)
ReplyDeleteI wish a very great future to our TAS manager.
ReplyDeleteThe Hero from Kaliaganj made our batch proud. The best thing I liked about him was his sense of appreciating humour directed towards him. I would remember your “Crorepati Goli” forever. Will never forget the laughter sessions that we have had together.

An irrefutable expert suggestion is always at his sleeves and can even the toughest of the talks go in his favour, so easily. ReplyDeleteThanks bhai.. for providing me 'The Hindu' continuously for two years.
I don't think anybody knows it but he has amazing flexibility in his body. He can easily touch 7 feet with his legs.
Bhai mazze kar !!!
ReplyDeleteFrom Crazyball to TASO, this guy has remained the same old sweet Jayant v had known from Year 1.. A very down to earth person and extremely dedicated to Hostel Comm.. Handles all mess issues with a lot of maturity and patience ..Always makes sure
ReplyDelete1) People don go hungry even if they turn up a little after mess timings
2) People dun waste food...
Have always admired your entrepreneurial spirit and I am sure you are gonna make it big some day.. So here is wishing you the best of things in life..n dun ever let that trademark smile of urs fade :) ATB and Cheers :)
Hey Jayant
ReplyDeleteYou'll walways be known as the first TAS manager from IIM Shillong :) I hope you get amazing success in all what you want to do and what the world wants you to do !! Wish you loads of success dear hoscommer :)
Keep smiling humesha :) Miss me :P
When i think of Jayant, Hostel Comm and TAS comes to my mind :)
ReplyDeleteAs a Hostel Comm member, he has always ensured that we get food to eat at anytime :) We have seen him being at the receiving end of many complaints the moment he enters the mess - but he has always been patient in listening to them and sees to that people leave satisfied :)
Jayant..Humbleness personified probably.. I can’t understand how one can be so humble! And I respect you for that…
ReplyDeleteTalented yet down to earth, Innocent, Cheerful and friendly..
Wish you all the success and happiness in your life ahead :)
