First person I met in campus was Balu. Seeing his Moustache and his dressing first thing that came to my mind was this place isn’t for me; Uncles all around… But a week later he was amongst the few with whom I could relate the most. Cool-Headed (Pun-Intended) business maestro who is a Movie-buff, game-maniac, car driver and BB fan. Mature in thinking, childish at heart and awesome at sense of humour :P I will not write about the dedication and reasoning that he has, as there will be many who will talk about it. C-wing Terrace, I can remember the endless business/bakar/gyani session with him along with company of Old Monk and Carlsberg. Someone who shares the taste of drinking that resembles mine. Person who is responsible for making me attend 40% of my classes in Shillong. The person who comes to mind whenever I am in trouble or when I need motivation to take things off. Someone, who will always be there when you need him. All I can say is thanks to the C-wing triangle room allotment that me, Bhim and Balu shared. Those were the days which I will miss the most. God Bless you, Be that way you are.
Ballu always appears to me as some Alien in human outfit. His behaviour sometime seems so outlandish to me that it is hard to believe how could someone do that. He would be busy playing some game on his mobile, completely engrossed into it and if at that moment there is a surprise question being posed to Ballu, he would answer it so easily that I am confused if he was at all busy playing or listening to lecture. Most of the time there is so much stress being laid on earning the bookish knowledge but Ballu seems to have more of common sense and a different approach towards things and is a reflection of a true engineer. I am really terrified of his sense of humour ( and I dont find it funny at all ). I dont understand why he is so fond of poking everyone be it the dinner table or a class going on. I am his favourite victim in this regard and he derives so much fun troubling me so much that at times I literally jump 2 foot high above my seat. Definitely, he is so different from the rest of us and has his own identity. At times even I see junior Einstien in making and about to graduate from IIM Shillong. :-)
My group mate and neighbor of first year. One of the first persons I met in the campus and since then have been together. A person who will always keep you on your toes. A short tempered guy but always there to help you out. I don't remember a single instance when he would not have helped me with any damn thing. A person who stays busy on his BB and dreams about only cars. A shrewd business minded who can set up a factory in every city of the country. I am indebted to him for putting proxies for me during the two years. Had spent loads of time talking to him. Its not easy to tease him, he can scare anyone with his anger except me :P I am not scared of you :P A friend who will always stand for you and Be the way you are Balaram.!! I hope you get your dream car soon :P :)
When i cant find solution to academic stuff , i know he is de guy who will save me. Ever connected thanks to BB. Removes your tension and thinks differently on every problem thanks to his supreme presence of mind.
Love of his life (till now) – his BB, his car, his business. Ballu cracks the strangest PJs (with far far fetched logic), a person with good business acumen, protective about his friends, strange to believe but he might have bunked a very few classes. Going by his serious looks one might find it hard to believe that he is a prankster and as naughty as a child. His room used to be stocked with Kerala’s famous Banana Chips and delicacies prepared by his mom and everyone was more than welcome to help themselves. The two months of internship that we spent in Chennai were so much fun thanks to Ballu and his awesome planning and his car :) He, Paul, Sakshi, Sawan and Shubhajit have been to some of the best food joints in Chennai and the beaches became a good hangout place for us! Wish you have great success in all your endeavours!

So won't talk about them anymore :P Ballu as I see you, my belief in 'extremes together' strengthens. Not easily predictable and a guy who can crack jokes that are difficult to comprehend or beyond the human level of understanding :P. Funny stuff aside, he is a person who cares a lot about his friends. Loves going out for a ride in his car and likes exploring new areas and routes in any city. Loves his BB, likes watching a lot of movies, playing pranks on friends. He also has a very good sense of business and lot of ideas in mind about the same.
Thanks to you Ballu, our internship stay at Chennai turned out to be really good (Chucking the work part :P). Went to a lot of food joints, roamed around a lot of places, beaches and all of us have had a lot of conversations on the terrace too.

The only person I’ve met whose jokes makes you think!! just in case you want to understand them… (so logical even his jokes are!) I appreciate you for that Ballu! And so goes the fact that it is really really difficult to win an argument against him… you can see people accepting defeat many a times… Ballu – always cheerful, fun-loving, and friendly guy with this typical style of presentation (many a times we have been lucky enough to witness his dancing presentations including the last presentation of the batch :P) and yeah… “the proud possessor of his blackberry”. He wouldn’t be able to live without it for a single day and wouldn’t write a single exam without its help ;) And of late we have been lucky enough to witness his expertise at TT too ;) Kudos to his business acumen and dedication to work… the way he manages all the work at Jowai… You will do great in business someday… Good luck Ballu! :) and continue cracking your ever logical PJs… not your fault if no one gets them.. it’s just that their level of understanding doesn’t match your brilliance :)
Ballooooo! A person who is brilliant in his 'jugaad' technology and is proud to be a mechanical engineer. He has two passions - Car/Driving and Blackberry. U ll always find him glued to his BB. He has strange sense of humour. Ballu is either too energetic to control or too calm and poised. He is not an 'average guy' (remember Ek main aur ek tuu :P)! Whenever you lost ur way on road in or nearby Shillong contact 'Ballu'; even taxi drivers had to take his consultancy for directions!! A level-headed person and seems to have good decision making skills. Best wishes 'Steel Putra!! :)'
Ballu is a man of extremes...He can be both hyperactive and calm at times, that too somewhat unpredictable. When he is calm, he enjoys narrating his long saga of car driving experiences in extremely difficult geographical terrains, his engineering work in L&T and so on.. He can speak endlessly on any of these without ever boring the listener. But he becomes worse and irascible when he becomes hyperactive. He is very intelligent and has a good understanding of everything. Despite being scarcely attentive in most of the classes (playing soltaire game in his phone most of the time),to everyone's surprise, he comfortably answers any questioned raised to him. I wish all the best to Ballu!!!
Ballu is a strange creature - i have seen him being hyperactive and also normal sometimes :) He is a the biggest car and ship lover in our batch - goes crazy about driving and Rolls-Royce Phantom, loves watching ships on videos :D His mom makes the best biscuits and cakes and he has never stopped sharing those with us :)
Ballu is amongst the best business brains we have in our batch - i would seriously want him to pursue entrepreneurship as a career - he has got all the makings of a great entrepreneur :) He loves being lazy most times - playing games on his computer, cracking weird jokes (Payal and Bhim would know much better :D).

Ballu is one energy rocket whom I’ve never seen without a smile or without a stream of excited talk in that unique accent of his which doesn’t change with language ;) Even Ops talk gets him hyper. Bablu, as i once called him by mistake was my first bb buddy in college. His love and affection for his phone beats anything else. From God’s own country, Ballu is one of the guys who is always around to help friends when the need arises. I found it out from close quarters during his Chennai internship when he brought his car. He never said a NO to any of the places that his friends asked him to go and he was always ready to drive them around having no commitments for himself. He can crack jokes with amazing ease and an ever smiling guy. An extremely knowledgeable guy who never has any airs about him. I ve rarely seen him getting angry.
