  3. Mantri is a vivacious person who brings colour (literally and figuratively) to any discussion. He has a distinct and inimitable style of putting his points across, and this guy brings ‘nautanki’ into daily life. It is impossible to not enjoy his company, and his cheerful demeanour, friendly attitude; honest nature and sheer simplicity have won many hearts at IIM Shillong. A true marketer, Mantri’s knowledge about marketing and his love for reading about new things is admirable. His carefree attitude and last minute dishevelled appearances for a trek early morning, are legendary. I still remember how he turned up for a trek with socks, shoes, jacket, and a horde of other things in his hand (and then dressed in the Study Room); because I had told him that everyone was ready!
Always remain the same ‘comedy’ that you are, and wish you all the very best in life! :)

  4. A nautanki and fun-loving person who goes into depth of anything he studies. I can never forget the philosophical discussion we had about the main aim of life, the ambience mall visit, pizza hut tortillas, ordering too much food and eating 1/4th of it, going around NCR with him during internship days. He always accompanied me during market research and I really had fun time with him in all the malls in NCR. The way he analyses things and comes out with innovative and practical solutions to various problems is really great. He looks like a person with carefree attitude but is damn serious about life. He practices yoga, plays guitar, dances and sings all the time, makes you laugh by his comments and different faces. He can sleep anywhere anytime and anyhow. Be happy always and continue doing your nautanki. Haan re ladke, All the very best for your life ahead.

  5. He is one of the most fun loving and versatile characters (Yoga and gymnastics aren’t for any Tom Dick and Harry) of our batch. Known as Mantri to everyone, this ladies’ man from Thapar always makes his own rules. He might have taken a course and not attended half the lectures but might go on and attend some other lectures if they sound interesting enough. Always tries to do new things in life and gets bored easily by mundane work. Known for giving weird poses in every pic that anyone has of him, he is one of the funniest characters to be around with. He gets really excited when talking about food but eats only half of what he orders :) . He has a great appetite for knowledge and is always trying to learn from everything in life and people around him. Not to forget, he is a very talented marketer.
My memories with him shall always involve the random food outings we have had where I have had to eat vegetarian food for his sake and his unique perspectives of life which he has started to get from the texts he reads. Mantri tu ek din pradhan mantri banega. Lage reh! Best of Luck. Cheers!

  6. According to me, Mantri is the craziest guy at IIMS. He is so unpredictable that you can never know what's coming from him the very next moment. Charming and chirpy, he is the blue-eyed boy of PGP10. A fearless person who speaks his mind and has a don't care kinda attitude, which actually proves to be good at times. A typical nautanki who is a good actor but overacts at times :P Thanks a lot for acting in that video for us :) Apart from acting, he dances, sings and also, plays the guitar. Has a great sense of humor and can woo any pretty girl with his charm. Be the way you are and you are sure to succeed in life. Good luck!

  7. Mantri!! The bubbly and fun-loving guy of Super 93 who likes to socialize with each and every one! Very friendly, favourite of all, always cheerful and loves to see everyone happy and smiling :) He can entertain anyone at any time with his random talks. You name it, and he can give you immense gyaan on any topic. Cannot forget our numerous discussions on the mess table (our favourite pastime) ranging from bakar topics like ‘words/phrases starting with blue’ to some really intellectual thoughts on long forgotten physics concepts :P A kiddo at heart and also in actions :P which can make anyone laugh to their heart’s content. Full-on nautanki – he could have easily become an actor – and is known for his innovative expressions and poses in photographs. He’s always enthusiastic to learn new things, very creative and talented. An ever happy person; he has got the sweetest smile which can bring a smile on your face too immediately… and make you forget all tensions in life :) Never let that smile escape you Rahul! Be yourself always! All the best…!! :)

  9. RAHUL MANTRI... One of the guys whom I had met in Delhi before joining IIM Shillong. We had discussed a lot whether to join IIM Shillong or not.. and finally we both joined. This guy every now and den visits my room and seriously very good at heart. I used to meet him in Salil Bhai's room just before one day asking about the syllabus. Personally I have learnt a lot from this guy. He is always cool, loves to discuss various subjects and he always tries to learn no matter whatever subject it is.

    All the best dude...!!

  10. Mantri used to wander into my room, right from first year. There is something amazing about Mantri’s behaviour, that he always keeps doing interesting things. He would not accept himself to get bored.

Mantri would appear care-free (which he is most of the times), but that should not be mistaken as a careless attitude. He always has many interesting topics to discuss about. He would often come to my room to ask what I was doing and we would take up topics at random and discuss about them. By the end, I used to get a feeling that we had a meaningful discussion.

Mantri loves to learn and all the time I spent with him here has been exceptional. I wish that he keeps learning and lives happily and successfully.

Apart from this, he is a happy-looking, jovial, flexible guy who can also act very well.

  11. Mantriji-
One of those guys who alwyas laughing, always having fun... The guy is a great company- and loves Good food... :D
While I know him with working on some competitions, and in lectures- the Best times I remember would be the occasional outings...
Behind his fun loving exterior- there is amazing philosophy on small things of life and big things...
I mean- the way he innocently says- we havent learned anything or in some competition will say to the Judge- everyone was doing Bakar only (Paraphrasing),
well- You have to give it to the guy... He's honest and blunt... :D

Always will remember him as a gr8 buddy and gr8 company,

    Hope to stay in touch,

    Cheers,

  12. Crazy lazy.. nautanki.. drame baaz, yet so innovative and creative, mantri ji will always make heads turn with his unusual acts and performances.. He is such a straightforward person, I don’t think he ever thinks twice before speaking and that’s what makes him so special.. I don’t know where he has got so much of patience from, his no. of attempts at making me exercise are a testimony to that :)..
What he did last farewell has made history!! ;) He is probably the only person whom I have teased almost on every single day after that incident.. And the best part is that he has never shied away from that.. he not only takes it in the right spirit himself but also lets the other person feel so comfortable..
Just wishing him the best of luck and keep bringing smiles to everyone’s faces as you have always been doing! :)

  15. Captain !!! Kopda Cup winner !!!
Mantri has one of the most cheerful personalities in our batch. He always gives out a fun vibe when around and one can’t help but smile. His antics, his expressions and his words usually end up making everyone laugh.
Loves giving weird postures for all his photographs and therefore is distinctly noticeable wherever he goes.
I am sure Mantri will make it big in his career.
    Cheers!

  16. If they ever coin another word for ‘life’ it has to be Rahul Mantri...he can liven up any moment and he can instantly strike a chord with anyone he meets and its next to impossible for anyone to not like him...a person who always carries a smile, come what may...a very intelligent and well read individual who comes with extremely innovative solutions to a problem.

We have spent lot of time studying together and otherwise and I can vouch for the fact that he is very quick learner and he has his own inimitable way of explaining things...he is always in lookout for something new, though he may not continue most of them after few days later.

Mantri, you are the only specie of your kind, be as good as you are and you will achieve everything you have ever desired...

  17. Is dude ke bina MBA would have been half the fun...I would like to thank him for being so cheerful and funny always at all times. I think he can single-handedly lift the mood of the 93. Also he is the most reliable friend you will get. I remember night sessions with him when we used to sit and talk all night till 6 am and keep talking still.
I think he is a great motivator and I owe my job to him as few of his tips and pep talks helped me. Even though he is a fresher he knows more about people and life then many others. I would request many others to strive to become like rahul.

Rahul ke baare me itna kuch he ki 1 testimonial kaafi nahi he uske liye.
    All the best Mantri!!!
Your dearest friend who is just a call away....

  18. The originator of crazy lazy SIG who never ceases to amuses people with his antics, can be seen seriously engrossed in Marketing Whitebook (or some other treatise on Marketing) in the library. He along with all the CultComm members has made our festivals really fun here!
Drama and nautanki, dance and masti, Sawan ka yaar and his love for achaar are things that will find associations with Rahul. Hope you stay ahead in your life! :)
    Keep smiling!

  19. Mantri is the most craziest and the most laziest guy in the whole batch :) Life at IIM Shillong would have been boring if not for people like Mantri - he breathes new life into an otherwise boring routine life :)

He is known for his poses - no two pics would show the same pose of his :D The L-group icon he is :)

A great cultcommer and a great friend to have :) Always ready to play his pranks on others :)

Wish you all the very best in life and see you around :)

  20. Mantri ji.... The most fun guy on campus... The expressions he shows, his jokes, random comments are priceless. He would enter into any conversation and add a new dimension to it... Also very helpful I remember him helping us out at IIM B and acting in an event (our place in the competition was partially because of him)... An amazing guy to be with Mantri would definitely be a friend to cherish :)

  21. He is unarguably the most fun loving person in our batch. A cheerful personality who will always make you smile, whatever may be the situation. He can make anyone laugh with his expressions at ease.

My fellow wing mate of both the years have had spent numerous hours chatting on any random topic. And not to forget he has the cleanest room in our batch :P :P
Has his unique way of explaining things and now the Kopda cup winning team captain. A cult comm member who can attract virtually everyone due to his antics.

Two words to describe him would be ‘crzay’ and ‘lazy’. Have teased him a lot in last two years (especially when you injured your leg :P) and he has done the same with me. It was always a fun knowing you Rahul.

All the best bhai and keep smiling :-) :-)

  22. Mantri – The nautanki, who is always smiling and he has an infectious enthusiasm. No matter what the situation is, he approaches it positively and carries a smile, always. At the surface level, he might seem like a carefree guy, but, look a little deep inside, he is a very sincere guy with a keen interest to learn anything and everything he can come across. If only the schools of India would make syllabus on Mantri’s recommendation, the schools won’t just produce engineers. He can talk on anything starting with college rumours to bhagvat gita to Yoga to Guitar to what not. He is a true learner and shows enthusiasm in learning anything new, even ‘Capstone’ , which he joined a few weeks late. I would say he is the most fun loving guy in PGP10, who just can’t be idle. A very lovable guy, who takes life as it comes, while planning for the next step creatively. He will not get bogged down by any single problem, no matter how big it is. He will get up and move on. The livewire of Group L, who made all group meetings fun, irrespective of the deadlines we were trying to meet :) Has some interesting one liners such as ‘I can do this; but, should I’ and interesting poses such as Group L one to his credit, which are characteristic of him. He is an awesome guy to be with. I am sure he will achieve great success in life, not just in the mundane corporate environment, but by creating a very unique mark for himself. Cheers! Be in touch :)

  23. Mantri- I remember the first time we met discussing our common friends. Then, how can i forget our play where he played the role of Thakur(Keep your Naada intact from the next time plz. :P) Dint know we would be become such awesome friends by the end of two years. Ya people do refer him as Nautanki. But I believe he was on the fun loving side in first year. In second year, the close ones did see him way too serious(doesn't suit you btw).
Loves knowing about everything under the sun. Had the most diverse set of electives. :P (Am sure they dint add upto 11 credits :P). Reads everything ranging from finance, marketing to Mahabharat and novels.
Best attitude in him is his way of thinking that nothing is impossible and he has this super curious questions ready for everything you discuss.
Loves food(especially on treats), treks. Always ready to explore new places and new dishes(remember 'Fajita' :P)
Apart from just the friend group, we were together in Cultcomm. Working with him is super fun. Work happens as a part of fun.
Stay like you were in first year Mantri. Highs and lows are a part of life. We like you 'Nautanki'.
Don't want to say Keep in touch cz u know our pact of August 2012. :P ;)
    Love ya! :) Good luck!

  24. ‘Nautanki Saala’, :P :P. Chotu marketer :P :P . Bachcha hai , but he behaves as if he is one of the elder guys :D . Amazing guy, can lift up your spirits anytime in the day with his limitless enthusiasm and energy that he carries around with himself. Very Inquisitive and has a quest for learning and knowing new things about human life, world and many more.

Has his own perspective on lot of topics and issues, will never hesitate to ask you something if he is not aware of it. Very friendly with everyone, tries spending ample amount of time with everyone in the batch. He has this talent of involuntarily coming with impromptu comical situations and one-liners during each and every presentation he has made in the class till date. :P

We both have many things in common, love for drama and dance :P, nautanki karna (no can surpass him though) and kahin bhi weird dances karna…. Remember our DX wala photo!! ….. I would also never forget the long conversations we have had during late nights about gfs, mindsets of North Indians and South Indians etc……. and our weird poses in many photos :P

Mantri ji … You’ll achieve all the success you deserve!! Keep rocking! :)

  25. My neighbour in first year, I stand guilty of not spending enough time with you in first year. Maaf kijiye…. Mantri is one of those rare guys who is very outspoken and very frank. He can behave like a kid on many occasions but is level headed and never shows attitude. He has a very carefree attitude and is like “Chalta hain” and is very enthusiastic. His antics after he has drunk is very very funny and provides awesome entertainment. The most striking feature in him is his flashy smile and I believe he has the maximum number of fans for the same. :) He is a very down to earth person who sometimes can get very very confused. An awesome guitarist and the best nautanki of PGP10 batch. Wisshing you all success in ur career Mantri and keep up the smile always :)

  27. From the outside it will certainly seem like we are the 2 most different ppl in the world.. But he is the guy with whom I felt myself to be seriously effective with as a team. What ideas and tag-lines both of us generated for markguru!!! I think I was at the creative best of my life :)!! Mantri, Team ‘Market-o-Morph’ rocks \m/ !!

I remember the way he was sleeping blissfully with his legs up and head-tilted in the plane back from IIM B. So much so that a cute air-hostess walked up to me and asked if he was ok. Actually ended wid me talking to her for 5 minutes, thanks bro :P!

He comes across as a completely happy-go-lucky guy, but can be very sincere and focused when it comes to work of importance.. Hope we get to work together again :)!

    Yo Mantri \m/…
