my neighbour for 2 years... dramebaaz... now u r an i-banker... i hope u will learn to wake up by urself and start ur day with a better word... i also hope that in life u will not be pokiri but a successful business man :P
Sawan aka Kiddo aka the youngest investment banker, no description can be complete without a mention of the fact that he is the youngest among us. But, at the same time, among the most sincere participants of our batch. I was lucky to have him as my study group mate. He was the leader among all of us, not because of his leadership skills but because, he was often the only person who knew about the assignments to be submitted ;) And I have lost count of the assignments that he submitted with none of us having any idea whatsoever. Only thing, he spammed our inbox quite a lot with his mails reminding us about the 'tasks ahead' x-( :P Wish u all the luck ahead kiddo for finding better group mates in future projects :)
One of the longest running jokes in our batch has been to do with Sawan's age. He's not only the youngest member of PGP10, but in a few months he'll become the youngest I-Banker in the world. He's renowned for his love for "nautanki" (as he himself eloquently puts it), his unique laughing style, and for his over-the-top reactions during GPL sessions.
But, being roommates for 2 months during our internship at Renault-Nissan, I really got to know Sawan much better. He's an incredibly level-headed fellow. His maturity belies his age - in fact, to be honest, I found him far more matured than a lot of people who're older than him. I also found him to be one of those rare guys who has an open-mind - he's open to logic and discussions and debates, and not constricted by his own opinions - again, unlike most, and this was one trait that I found most appreciable. Maybe the fact that he's traveled a lot & been to various places has made him open to various points of view and opinions, even if they don't match with his - but whatever might be the reason for that, he's sure one person I've found most suitable for discussions & debates on various topics. And yes, lest I forget, he's also very sincere in whatever he does - another facet of his that I got to know during our RN days :)
Now if only he could wake up in the morning on the calls of his alarm clock he'd become the complete boy, err man :D
Sa One is what this superhero of a "kid" is fondly called by his mates. A happy go lucky person who looks to make the most out of every moment he is awake (given that he "invests" a lot of time in sleeping). Earlier he was a fellow "Niveshak" but lately he has also become an "eye" banker. A die hard Mahesh babu fan and a damn good dancer (and if i may add "nautanki" himself). Be the smiling and fun loving person you are and success and happiness will always follow you!
The baccha of the batch.. Sorry but that's how i will always remember you. Although i must say, with the level of maturity that you think and talk with, you could fool a lot of people about your real age ;)After our mentor hunt in the first year, Pdn and me were supposed to be your mentors for special purposes, remember!! Life Okay, enough of pulling your leg, you are an awesome friend, hardworking, intelligent, street-smart, entertaining, drama king, a big bollywood (read as DON, mafias, underworld) fan and an amazing actor. Am pretty sure, you will be the youngest CEO in history and will make us proud. But when you attain that success, ask your secy never to ask me to take an appointment to meet you. I shall simply barge into your cabin. Good luck kiddie!!!
I will always remember Sawan as the strategist at Kopda Auctions in our first year, where he showed that patience and intelligence can be a deadly combination. A very smart finance guy, Sawan is mature, calm and composed and is an excellent presenter. He has a charismatic smile, and that combined with his friendly and helpful nature; makes him a wonderful guy to hang out with. I remember our ‘dance’ (if I can call it that) in first year, where he was so busy (he was a part of many other performing groups) and in demand from all quarters, yet he consented to be a part of our group and we could do ‘Sawan jo agan lagaye use kaun bujhaye’! All the best Sawan, I am sure you will achieve great success in life! :)
Sawan SingamSetty, a man with 3 S’s. He is the only one who gets up late than me in the F-wing. Youngest in the batch but among the few whose passion for doing things are very high. An awesome Finance Club Peer member. Someone who is good at dramatics, those drama sessions during farewell and Talentshow will always be remembered. Dedicated to what he does, come what may he will sail the boat across when it comes to work. As energetic as one can be when taking up any task. One of the best things I like about him is his mimicry skills and voice modulations. His sense of humour and ways of narrating things adds that extra tinge of masala to any conversation. A kid who finally had a drink in his last year of student life and was conscious all time about his level of intoxication. Be the way u are and I am sure u will go miles
Sawan The baby of the batch- as most call him- is one of those guys- who probably is on good terms with everyone.... I got to know him well during the 2 years as his Group mate.. and have to say, Without him and Shubhi- the Study Group would have been a disaster.... He has all those qualities which u would love to have in your friends- always cheerful, working hard when wanted, not just agreeing to anything- but discussing, arguing... Hell, I remember how many hours it took me and him to argue on Capstone Simulations.... Always ready to help friends when needed, Sawan enjoys his time to have fun to fullest- he will never hold back... Be it cracking some joke or just making observations and laughing on it... One thing everyone SHOULD listen to would be his Villainous laughter... Its scary guys... ;)
Hope to stay in Touch for years to come mate, Priyansh
kiddo of our batch... last person to come to mess whether it be lunch or dinner... sleeps a lot and one should his reaction Partha's b'day video (if i am not wrong)...good at learning new languages... has his own style of talking ...big fan of Mahesh Babu...
The Investment Banker!! hard work and talent defines him. it was a treat working with him in fin club. very sharp and very fast at delivering work. he looks like a south Indian hero, has a plethora of talent and can do good mimicry at times. Sawan it was a pleasure knowing you. Wish you all success!! Keep Rocking!!
Even though the youngest in our batch, the maturity he shows in handling things is refreshing..Almost always calm and level-headed.. But he sure gets an adrenaline rush when he hears a mass telugu song or sees his God Mahesh Babu in action :P His awesome acting skills wer in display during our talent show and farewell..But the best acting he has done till date is his imitation of Prof. Basav :P Brilliant dude :D Shares my love for dancing...Excellent communication skills.. Nw that I have given enough hype about him lemme share one or 2 things to take his case... He has to prepare well even for some bakar exam like ethics or CSR.. otherwise he ll not be able to sleep well that nit :P Real accha baccha to his parents :D.. Sawan, I would always cherish al ths times v did group study, bakar in harish room, treats, you all taking my case :P our movie trips..n I did learnt quite a few things from you (very little of finance..more about life :P ) Keep that enthusiasm, energy and cheerfulness of urs intact.. You will go a long way in life :) Stay connected
“Sawan, you lazy fellow…. WAKE UP”….. every morning @8:55 from July 2010. This may look like a sign of weakness… No!!! It’s the secret of his almost infinite energy. You would be amazed at how much he does in the miniscule time that he is awake. Google translator is bound to go out of business because of him; what a flair this guy has for learning new languages. He may be the youngest in our batch but is very mature and wise for his age. You would go places da and make us proud that we were your friends, One day when you would be giving an interview in Swahili, I would tell my awestruck kids that you were my classmate. :P
SSS.. Sincere smart and sensible who enjoys life responsibly… his level of maturity and his level headedness has helped me learn from him.. the Pandu whose sincerity and hard work can be matched only to his ‘spirit’ of life.. a livewire whose energy and enthusiasm is contagious.. An avid movie buff and an eager dancer who portrays his love for acting at every instance possible… I’ll not forget those SAPM days when we broke our heads all throughout the nite for the project.. A highly committed person who carries out his responsibilities in the best way possible.. The one person who ends up receiving GPL on almost all birthdays… a quick learner who has the ability to learn and converse in your mother tongue in an year’s time.. Here’s to the great memories that we share from the PB trips for movies ( in between which you come back to study :P) ,food and much more, the nit long bakar sessions and the ppt making days.. I am sure you’ll go places.. Keep smiling!! :) :)
Sawan is the youngest member of our Super93 family and this has also resulted in him going to be the youngest investment banker on planet earth :D But he is very mature when it comes to handling things in life - be it his work for Niveshak, his strategies that made NSE warriors win the tournament comprehensively or the way he keeps himself with all that happens in the finance world ;)
Sa.One has another side Ra.One - this side of him comes out when someone utters the name of Mahesh Babu, during the numerous dance sessions we had in campus or when we have those antakshari sessions ;) He's got a peculiar way of laughing - he closely resembles Basav Roy in this :D
Sawan is very sincere when it comes to studies - i still think he's the only one who is always worried about grades and GPAs. Sawan is very good with languages - he knows a lot of them (Hindi, Telugu, Oriya, Tamil and soon-to-be Punjabi :P). He's the only one who does Google search on the places we go to on trips (others don't even know the name of the place we go to :P)
Sawan's enthusiasm and sincerity will take him places and i wish the almighty keeps him the same way forever :)
Famous for his Ravan like laughter, he’s a kid at heart with a very mature head on his shoulders. A dedicated fin enthusiast, he’s tirelessly worked for the Finance Club and given a lot of his time for the magazine. A great dancer, he never misses the chance to shake his leg no matter what time of the day it is. He’s one of the youngest in the batch, but his fin knowledge can give even the best of the lot a run for their money. I am sure he’s going to make lots of money by investing other people’s money!
Sawan is the fellow telugu guy of the batch with whom I used to share Balayya news. It all started with how he was made to say a movie dialogue to me during footsteps. He proved his prowess as an actor many times in the subsequent period.
I’ve never found Sawan in a mood other than cheerful. He would always greet people with a warm smile. I feel Sawan should be in for a great career with his technical aptitude in finance, intelligence, cheerful and warm attitude.
Sawan – “The Youngest Investment Banker”. This defines his dedication and the amount of hardwork he can actually put in!! But still… he’s a typical BITSian whom I can identify myself with :P Generally lazy, sleeping late, waking up for lunch, going late to classes, last minute submissions, last minute studying etc. etc. defining the routine… Apart from good acads, this guy is really multi-talented; dance and drama being some of his passions. Cheerful, hyperactive, bubbling with energy always and a kid at heart. Whenever he is found in the corridors, you can see him dancing… and the dance effect could be seen even while he is playing TT ;) And acting is just in his blood. Anything he does; whether it is delivering Balakrishna’s dialogues, or imitating the actions of few Profs or other friends, or the narration of any past/future instance; he brings life into it… it’s just perfect!! He’s got a great aptitude for quant. and stats, and excellent reasoning and analytical skills. I cannot forget the enthu with which we used to compete in Capstone… but Sawan led his team to emerge as the unparalleled winner in our industry :) He sure has the capability to make it big in real business too!!
Good luck Sawan!! Keep smiling and stay happy :) And yeah… try to take some time out of your busy schedule atleast to watch your fav. Mahesh Babu movies! ;)
In BITS Goa DRAMA was his first love and DANCE second but then IIM S happened. Here, SSS achieved the title of ‘the youngest I-Banker’ in our batch and mind me when I say this guy is full of surprises as his habits and so contrary to the traits of an achiever but he still is an ACHIEVER! He was woken up daily in 1st year by Sid Jaidev for the morning classes I wonder how he will manage getting up when he joins work. He has amazing analytical skills, the unique ability to achieve what he aspires for and a maturity level shown by only a few in this batch (despite the fact that he’ll be seen doing all sorts of antics with Mantri). He has a flair for languages and knows quite a few; I still remember him haggling with Chennai autowalas in his broken Tamil :P :P (btw he did a pretty excellent job! ). The two month long internship was the time when we vented out a lot of frustration about the work nevertheless all’s well that ends well! :) During Exchequer I was introduced to another love of his life - MOVIES generally those of Mahesh Babu (a heartthrob down south). I’ve learnt a lot from this jolly, free spirited guy esp how to be Bindaas. Sawan wish you lots of luck for the future. Want to see you soon in the top rung positions. :) Stay in touch!
Sawan! An extremely talented and level headed person sums up Sawan in my opinion. I still very clearly recall my first discussion with him a couple of days after the talent show! I had initiated some conversation with a lot of hesitation as I had seen him talk only in Hindi and as it always happens, I ask a question and the reply is in Hindi and I go ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know Hindi’. But the best part of Sawan, unlike almost all others, is that he never spoke a single line to me in Hindi since then. There were many who took at least 10 to 15 conversations to stop talking in Hindi. Interestingly, many still talk to me in Hindi thinking I understand them. But the flip side, he is probably the only person who is taken so much time and patience on his part to teach me any little bit of Hindi I know today. His sensitivity to people and their interests is a great quality that I admire in him. He is a people person and enjoys getting to know people and interacts with varied groups of people in the batch because of his ability to understand people well.
I probably got to know Sawan well only through the internship and post that through second year when he stayed right opposite. Sawan’s interest in dancing, parties and his intelligence and ‘pandu’ness needs no explanation to anyone. He is someone who always strives to strike the ideal balance between ‘Fun’ and ‘work’ and does well invariably. He has a highly structured thinking process and I have enjoyed almost all discussions with him. He is a good listener and puts across his points in a mature manner. He may be the youngest in the batch and does live up to it many times, however, his levels of maturity can be matched by very few in the batch. He is an excellent teacher and he is among those who were influential in getting my ‘finance phobia’ off me!
Sawan is again that professional flirt. He is addicted to the laptop and his bed and is crazily lazy. He would use some random logic of “No return on effort” for even small chores like getting up to open his door or for that matter sweeping his room. You should ask him how he cleans his floor. You would not believe how scared he is of his Dad. If he sleeps through breakfast, his first worry will be “Oh sheesh! My Dad is gonna shout at me”
Sawan, wonderful to have met someone like you and I have learnt a lot from you and I do highly value your opinions and criticisms. Second year has many memorable moments with you around. The bakar times with Mantri, Baba or others in our wing will be pleasant recollections for a long time. I am sure you will go places; you are only 19 now after all. Hoping to see you as someone big in future! Its ok to fall in love and get married da. I am sure your parents will understand and chuck relatives da! All the best!
Sawan- His major love has been finance, investment banking. Never can he leave a chapter undone for his exams. First comes work and then anything else. The kid of our batch. Been my dance partner for the last one year. :) Dances super and handles me also well while dancing! ;) Always up for Bakar! Mixes with ppl very easily. One person who has handled multiple groups very well. :) Someone who knows way too many languages. In short someone who is extremely talented-has managed academics, career, dramatics, dancing, movies and friends- all very well. Best times I've spent with you is during the dance workshops, the practice sessions, the times killing in bread cafe to wait till 8:30 movie show from afternoon, the late night bakar, the gmail chats! Won't say they were awesome cz there are more awesome memories to be build in Bangalore! :) Stay the same Kiddo! You are perfect! :)

:) Dances super and handles me also well while dancing! ;)
ReplyDeleteAlways up for Bakar! Mixes with ppl very easily. One person who has handled multiple groups very well. :)
Someone who knows way too many languages.
Stay the same Kiddo! You are perfect! :)
