S.SANDHYA

  1. Shondha, as I prefer calling her because of her Calcutta connection, is one person I've enjoyed conversing and interacting with. She's intelligent, opinionated, witty, and has good sense of humour. Further, she's one of the few persons in our batch who prefers novels over text-books - something which I can readily appreciate.

She's also an independent minded woman who never conformed in these 2 years despite a lot of people having chosen that path - and that's one facet about her that's really appreciable. And yes, she's as addicted to FB as I'm addicted to something else :)

Whoever says that beauty and brains are mutually exclusive for a girl needs look no further than this belle from Madras, err Chennai :)

  2. Having heard about her even before joining, Sandhya struck me as an extremely intelligent, no-nonsense type girl from the very first meeting. She is extremely witty, discusses any topic openly and she is one girl whom I really think before talking. One shrewd comment and she can embarrass you just like that. She can talk about a very diverse range of subjects which are unconventional (Tamil poetry to Ayn rand to Mythology to what not) and has a very different take on most issues. I have had a hard time understanding where she comes from in many discussions and even GD’s (Ya, the official ones) :) After 2 years, she still remains a mystery to me. One instance, she talks like my granny (traditional to the point of being orthodox) and the next moment she is a modern feminist. Without boring you much, Wish you all the very best for your future, Sandy! :)

  3. One of the smartest and sharpest minds on campus, I have always admired Sandhya for her grasping power and reading speed. She loves reading, and would read anything and everything she can lay her hands on. I have had many conversations with her on many topics, and it’s easy to talk to this friendly and genial girl. She has an amazing command over English, and she can talk on just about any topic under the sun. However, Sandhya is extremely lazy and getting her to do something is very very difficult! I keep telling her that a little more of self-motivation would take her a long way! Here’s hoping you find some drive :P and I am sure a smart girl like you has a wonderful career ahead! All the best : )

  4. A very intense girl with quite a lot on her mind. Has an intellect that easily surpasses most of the batch and faculty. You could pick a topic and she would have her say in it. I remember her teaching us microeconomics, she turns a page glances at it for barely 20 seconds and then starts explaining (Us: open mouthed and blank). Quite a bit of a reader and, an ardent fan of the Harry Potter series (remembers spells from all 7 books recounts them in class as a pastime). May your intellect and intensity bamboozle many more. All the best Sandy.

  6. I remember the first time I met her at the senior junior meet where she came across as the silent and shy girl… but lo behold! This woman is anything but that.. she can talk on anything and everything under the sun.. the only person who can converse with Paul in his own fashion ( long incomprehensible sentences) that can leave you flabbergasted… a woman with awesome grasping powers( I still remember the day before economics exam wer she finished the whole text in under two hours n taught us).. a girl who is strongly tied to her roots and knows her strengths and weakness.. a girl with a soulful voice.. A sound sleeper who prioritizes sleep over everything else.. Sandy I have always been amazed by your intellect and wit.. Here’s wishing you all the very best and May victory follow you always :) :)

  7. Well after reading the book " The two states", i have been waiting at the senior junior meet in Chennai to find the Ananya of PGP10 and then she enters :P that's the first introduction. I had a lot of intellectual discussions with her ( Obviously she keeps telling and i would be just listening :p) in the college and during internship process at Gurgaon. She can speak anything under the sun from the origin of Advaita to the black hole theory. One would definitely appreciate the knowledge she has in the first five minutes of conversation. Loves to sleep a lot and reads a ton!! Very practical and passionate. Really enjoyed the Delhi trip with her and Saket.

All the best. Keep in touch!!

    Cheers!!!!

  9. Sandhya will always remain the strange girl that i have met in life. I have always believed that she's the female version of Paul or maybe Paul is the male version of Sandhya - it could be either ways :D

Sandhya has got a very complicated thinking process which has always contrasted with my simple, direct way of thinking. We have had a clash of opinions on many occasions and we have been respectful to each other's point of view.

Sandhya's aptitude for singing is amazing. She can sing a lot of songs from the start to the end - something which i have never managed to do as i get stuck in the first line itself :D She's probably the most laziest person in the batch - she hardly strains her brain as a result of this and this means that Deloitte with get a fresh brain with a lot of ideas :P She's the only one who can give Paul a run for his money by her non-stop talking on anything under the sun :)

Wish you all the very best for your future and hope to see you around in Hyderabad :)

  10. Very honestly, it is close to two years since I knew this smart girl but I am yet to understand her in many ways. Invariably she springs up a surprise or two from what you can expect of her. We have had phases of ‘good conversation’ if I can call it so. There have been days of hardly getting to see her but days where we would share long conversations. In this regard, second year has been the better of the two as I got to know more of her.

Sandhya is extremely intelligent and among those very few who have very high grasping power. Her reading ability again just plain simple amazes everyone. She does carry herself with her head held high and might seem not-approachable for many. But you have to interact with her to know how much of a conversationalist she is. You will be surprised to see the number of conversation starters she can come up with. Even when you run out of things to discuss on, she will be back with a bang with something or the other.

She loves watching movies days together and doing many more such things she feels like doing irrespective of what others may have to say. I have to but say she is as lazy as it can get on certain things. Among the very few that someone like me can comment on in this aspect. She can give you the angry vibes if you get on the wrong side of her. Also, as a few would know, she is highly capable of bringing out the kid in her. She will seem loveable and annoying just like how a kid would be.

Sandhya, it was nice knowing you and undoubtedly, some of the conversations that we have had have kept my head busy for long hours, in fact among the few conversations that really tire me out! I am sure your sheer brilliance will take you places and with a bit more of energy and passion on what you do from your end, the end is somewhere big. I am sure things will fall in place as life moves on and do not let worries bog you down be it your family or the future. All the very best.

  11. Sandy is a voracious reader, has an opinion on every topic and can convince any person having opposing views with her flawless communication and convincing skills. Looks pretty in a saree and loves dressing in one.
Cool, confident and extremely talented at creative stuff like Rangoli or collage making. When she speaks it seems like I wish to keep listening to the varied topics that she talks about. I got to know her better by the story behind each picture in the collage that adorns her room.
This Pretty Woman will surely go places. Here’s me wishing you all the luck for the future. :) Keep smiling!

  12. A very smart, intelligent and sweet girl… and a little lazy :P She’s got really high grasping power. I am really amazed at the amount of telugu she knows by just learning from friends during graduation!! And I was really happy when I met her finding that there was one more person I could talk to in telugu :) She can talk on anything and everything including philosophical talks :) and the way she talks makes all of them really interesting! And her analysis on any aspects of life is awesome and admirable… She has the capability to achieve anything she wants in life! Looking forward to our journey ahead in Deloitte :)

  13. Appearance could be truly deceptive in her case.. She came across as this nerd from an orthodox Tam Brahm family during our first meet.. But I take that back!!... She doesn bother about the course or curriculum....Always sticks to what she loves doing the most at tat point of time.. An all-rounder.. Apart from being a very intelligent person, she is highly creative..sings beautifully and more than tat she is a mobile music library :P Trying to read her is like reading an Ayn Rand book..Can b hell lot of confusing!! ..I have always been at loss for words when I converse with her..n inspite of that we have shared a lot (family, feelings and flashback ;) ) Would cherish all those lovely moments and all our conversations (be in on g talk or in person) are close to my heart... I am sure you would b able to break all barriers on personal and professional fronts... Keep Smiling.. Its lovely to c u tat way :)

  14. My fellow study group member, Sandhya is an intellectual to say the least. Her conversations are very complex and this is the reason we call her Lady Paul. :D. Sandhya is the traditional South Indian Tam Brahm who has a very small and extremely close circle of friends :). She is very witty and has a huge knowledge base with which she can talk about any topic with ease. This is what draws the crowds to her. Her knowledge on the history of tamils and literature is matched only by Harish and Karthik which was entertaining during the long trip back by train from Guwahati to Chennai :) She is a voracious reader who can consume books just like that. She taught us the whole of Micro Economics just by glancing through the book. Although a bit lazy when it comes to study group work, if she takes up any work she ensures that the output is good quality and can present everything with amazing ease. She can be very understanding and I ve had long conversations with her on the intricacies of relationships. Although due to circumstances we ve not interacted as much as I would have liked to have. I hope you do well in ur career and ur life. Here’s wishing you all success in life. :)

  15. I am amazed by her grasping power.. I remember an instance, when as a group we were given a check-sheet, and before any of us could read the questions, this girl was ticking on the answers!!

This girl is an expert, I must say.. be it her awesome knowledge as evident to those who attended Ethics class, or be it music, just anything… With a confident, convincing and soothing voice, watching her making presentations is surely a treat!

Wish you a great career and life ahead!!!

  16. I hardly knew this lady in the first year. The only occasion of interaction being the 10PM to 6AM marathon Microeconomics session where she went on glancing pages and explaining it to 10 people who were half-asleep :D..

But all that was to change, we were fated for 2 months together in Gurgaon. And it was total fun. I could talk about any random stuff and still get a reply :D. The chatter v used to do right from the auto-ride towards d office to the one returning was the highlight. Particularly that it was in tamizh and nobody other than us could understand :D!!

But even then, I don’t say I understand her still (quite difficult, u c :D). I don’t even dare to say I will understand if given lot more time than 2 months, nevertheless I tried!

Thanks for those 2 months at Gurgaon, will cherish them :). Some of ur stories are still pending, I am not leaving without u telling them :P..

I need not wish u success (I know u will get that anyway, y waste a wish :P). I wish u d best of health and hope sincerely that u take care of urself :).

    Yours truly,
    Rabaseesh

    Nice to have known you.
