  1. A very hardworking and simple marroo friend, always following his principles. Truly dedicated towards his family, friends, studies and not to forget his mobile phone :P. Rarely you would find guys with clean room, punctual, responsible, making gifts for girlfriend. But he does all this… Wish you all the best in life chhote :)

  3. Saraff has 2 typical characterstics that give him a unique identity:
    1. A deadly sense of humour, clubbed with
    2. His strong physique

If u didnt laugh while he cracked joke then there is highly likely chance of you being crushed under the powerful blow of his hand. Thereby, he earned the sobriquet of "Hathoda Singh". He has been very sincerely taking care of everyones birthday and never missed out the celebration of anyone's birthday under any situation. Very soft spoken and gentle person who has deep interest in Finance and allied branches. It has been a pleasure to have such a nice person amongst us. Wish you all the best.

  4. The Bday Comm of Super 93! His peculiar smile and the way of calling you out "bhai" is unique in itself. Always laughing and always ready to help.

As a remembering point only (:D) he was one of those spammers on our google group that there used to be competition of replying first between him and others..! And I once had a stiff with him for this but he replied with pure humbleness. Such is his maturity and cool attitude. Respect for that!

Keep smiling brother.. you have miles to conquer! :)

  5. A dedicated B comm member whose room would always have a chart with the list of upcoming birthdays. He gets GPL on many a birthdays due to his being a B comer. You have surely made all the birthdays memorable – without the cake no cake cutting or smearing would have been possible :)
E cell member and a gymming enthusiast who has earned the monicker of Pehalwan, he greets everyone with a smile like that of a small kid and is very punctual in his activities. The time when we were in Delhi was one of the best, Mutthu might disagree because to his horror he kept spotting---- (u know who!)
Wish you lots of luck for the future :)

  6. He is one of the few people with whom I shared everything from my personal life to professional life. He is similar to me in everything from his commitment to his families, friends, studies and that's why I spent some of the memorable moments with him.

I still remembered our first year outings, PB visit and late night visit to then night canteen. He is like a small brother for me who is ready to help in any situation.

Thanks for being with me for dis two wonderful year ...Hope you ll reach the top of the finance world and you ll get whatever you want in your life. Love u bro...

  8. I have known Saraff mainly because of our Bday Comm relationship. Well, I must say he has been the backbone of Bday Comm. I remember the times when it was really frustrating getting money out of people, but Ankush always handled the situations peacefully. Thanks to Bday Comm, he is the choicest customer of Bread Cafe. It was great working with him for Bday Comm and I still remember the happiness and satisfaction, the three of us(thord being Ragini) shared after two biggest bashes organised by us, one after the holidays and other the first anniversary of the batch.

I have also known him to be a very sincere member of E-Cell and his achievements in the two years definitely speak a lot about him. Dude, we have a long way to go and am sure we cannot forget the Two years of Bday celebrations ever :) :)

  10. 'Bade - Chhote' ka 'Chhote'!
A very calm and composed person; sincere too!
Heard too much about his designer skills from his group mates. Probably the only A-winger who used to do 'pooja'.
A dedicated Bday comm and E-cell member, who is always willing to take responsibilities!
    Best wishes!

  11. The Chote of our batch, a fellow A- winger, group mate and a fellow E Cell member. I haven’t seen anyone more systematic and more organised than Saraff. You assign any task to him and then be rest assured that the task will be done way in advance of the deadline. I still remember 3 sem Finance project. When the whole batch was trying hard to complete the project, ours was done at least a week before.

The thing that I will miss the most will be his deadly PJs. His ingenuity in PJ creation is mind boggling: P. he is one person who is clear at heart and hard working in nature.

    All the best for future!

  12. Saraff is the e-cell leader we all know. He was the one who pushed and pulled people along with respect to its initiatives.

Saraff is a dedicated, hard working guy. But, when you meet him, you would feel that he is one of the most fun guys to be around. He does not feel the need to be boring, just because he is dedicated towards his work.

It feels bad to be patted on the back by Saraff, but I wish he stays strong and wish him great luck.

  13. Ankush, a person who will pat on your back and you will feel as if he hit you. A solid iron man of our batch and a dedicated B Comm member. But it's said that people who are tough outside are very soft inside. It goes with Ankush who has always been helpful and soft-spoken. An ardent iCube member who goes that extra mile to get the things done for his Club. A favourite of fin professors, he is good at studies. With his leadership skills, I wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

  15. Ankush is well known as Hathoda Singh or Hammer for his famous loud pat on the backs. This guy is born for cold weather like Shillong. Even if mercury drops to single digit, this guy never feels cold. He loves to eat out and you can expect him to order foodstuffs very frequently from outside. Apart from this, this guy loves Hindi Bollywood music and has been a source of it whenever I need those. The best quality of Ankush is that he is always calm and relaxed by nature which is indeed great. He is also very good at finance( a CFA level 2 candidate) and is bound to reach great heights in the future.
It was really great to have him as a friend and a wingie in these years and I look forward to keep in touch with him in the future. All the best....

  16. my 1st year neighbour!!! how i wish this wing-wise allotment in 2nd year were not done...let me list some of ur qualities i would like to implement in my life some-day :)

    1) hard working
    2) ur physique
    3) cleanliness
    4) sincerity ( ur alarm used to go off at 5 am sharp no matter what time u slept... i would then see u before brkfast having gone to gym, taken bath and done with ur daily prayers)

i think B comm has been one of the most efficient comm of all here :P and most credit must go to u... and yeah, u make beautiful gifts...

wishing u all the best in life...

  17. One of the most enthusiastic people right from footsteps, Saraff made his mark when he volunteered to be a B.Commer… Ever since then, he has been the silent presence behind many a riotous celebration. But the time this fin wiz has been the most impressive in my mind is when his photo appeared on The Hindu during the Jagriti Yatra. Kudos Saraff and may your entrepreneurship efforts in the future be a huge hit! All the best :)

  18. He is the guy who matters the most in our batch coz he has the task of making people happy on the single most important day of their lives for the past 2 years a.k.a “Birthday Comm guy”. A very selfless guy who would go to any lengths to help his compatriots . Bhai , the finance group where u, Pritha and me were in the same group was crazy to say the least. Not knowing what our project meant and yet pulling it off in front of Nalini was no mean feat :D:D. Have an amazing life ahead of you and good luck .

  19. The Birthday Comm guy-
He is often most underappreciated guy in the committees... ;) He takes care of all celebtrations- and the best part- did listen to my requests and got Eggless cakes for me... :D
Knowing him for 2 years, can say- he's funny, enjoys teasing others, takes his responsibilities seriously.... He's a gr8 guy to know and hang out with..

Hope to stay in touch mate,
    Cheers,
    Priyansh.

  20. Ankush Saraff is a very patient man - the BComm work that he does is a testimony to this fact. He keeps smiling always :) The first body builder of our batch before Padhi joined him :D

It was good to know you :)

Wish you have a great life ahead and hope to see you around :)

  21. Hatoda...

This guy has a habbit of hitting people whenever he sees them...hence the name. A diligent Bcomm guy who ensures that every ones birthday is celebrated on the campus. And yes he is right at the top of PJ kings of IIM Shillong. A sincere and hardworking fellow who is sure to be successful in his endeavors ...

Best of luck and keep in touch :) :)

  22. Ankush has a couple of nick-names, but the one that does maximum justice to him is "Hatoda". He's the 'muscle-man' of our batch, and I'm pretty sure that had he not decided to do an MBA, he would surely have gone on to win the Mr. Universe or Mr. Olympia titles for body-building :D

Ankush is a chilled-out, friendly & cheerful guy. You'll always find him cracking jokes & laughing aloud whenever you meet him. In fact, if there ever was a competition to find the person with the ability to crack the best (err worst) PJ's in our batch, despite really strong competition, he'd be one of the leading contenders.

And yes, how can one ever forget in bringing the batch together through his tireless contribution towards probably the most loved committee here at IIM-S, viz. the B.Comm. Birthday celebrations remain one the hallmarks here and they're one of the few aspects about life here that people would always carry their memories wherever they go; consequently the contribution of Ankush & other B.Comm members has been really terrific, more so because they formed this comm of their own volition.

  23. There are many reasons for why this guy deserves all the admiration. He has been involved with a lot of activities but never quite hogged the limelight. he is one of those who would silently make the contribution, but never made a hue n cry about it. be it his work with e-cell, or with b-day comm, or for arranging something, he is the first one to take the initiative. a hard-worker, motivated, honest and down to earth, u r an inspiration dude! a really safe player, he would leave before 12hrs from Shillong to catch a flight or train. with a short smile, and well built body, he can win hearts. he is a pillar of humbleness and sincerity, it was awesome knowing you dude!!!
    Wish you all success!!!
    Keep Rocking!!!

  24. The most impressive thing of "chote" is his smile..he always has a smile on his face. Apart from this he is a very simple, hardworking, helping and punctual person. He is very intelligent and one can learn from his simplicity.

He has been the driving force for all Birthday celebrations and he has done "Thankless Job" very well. Hat's off to you for wonderful work done.

All the very best for a wonderful career ahead :)

  25. Such a calm guy and so organised. You enter into his room and you get to know what kind of person he is. Very open and very warm person. Your birthday comm's commitment is undeniable man.. Keep rocking!!!

  26. Humble to the core, one needs to spend not more than 5 mins with him to know how genuine and warm a person he is. A great friend and an amazing organiser, he leaves nothing to chance and would be prepared to face every difficulty or challenge in his life. Ankush is the kind of person, who hates disappointing people and would maintain a fine balance between his friends, family and girl friend. I still remember one of the first few conversations we ever had was about your mom and it left me with a warm feeling of knowing that there are still people who care and would give up anything for their family. A calm and relaxed person, he has gone out his way to help me with all the fin subjects. Thank you for all your help. Hope all your dreams come true!!! Keep smiling always :)

  27. A fun-loving , jovial and a very humble individual. One person who must have attended all the batch birthday parties for the past two years without missing any. I remember the funny conversations we used to have usually at breakfast or snacks time. He is one person who can crack jokes on any topic and is fun to have around as company.

Have some wonderful memories with you. Was great knowing you.

    Cheers Chote!!!

All the very best to you and hope you have a great life ahead..:)

  29. One of the most simple, calm and sincere people of our batch, Ankush is always seen carrying that smile on his face! Always working hard for the Bday Comm, he is never there to take the credit for the success brought by his efforts!

With all that dedication and commitment, success is sure to come your way Ankush... Wish you the best for all your endeavours!

  30. When I think of you, it reminds of a distinctly sweet style of talking which I like very very much.. A very charming face and there is a cuteness about you, which one can’t ignore.. and I fondly remember your lines ‘Daya kari tike hasi dia’…

A very affable personality who can gel with anyone.. The most dedicated Birthday Committee member, I would say.. and of course you are the one person whom I have approached anytime, whenever I needed any help ;)

Not to forget your hefty telephone bills.. your glass painting sessions… for your ‘someone’ special.. Wish you both a happy future together!

Really, you are a gem of a person.. Thanks for being my friend here.. Wish you all the happiness, all success for your life ahead!
