Captain.. Thala(translates to Head).. One of the more mature persons in the campus..very knowledgeable and possesses a great drive to get down and work relentlessly…a very affable person…quite considerate more so wen he laughs quite genuinely for most of my bogus jokes :P Keep rocking Captain n m sure u wd achieve all tat u want.. Dun b upset if something doesn cm ur way cos all gr8 things come a little late in life :)Would always cherish our friendly banters, the terrific TAS trip and other random outings :)
The captain.. A man of many facets.. A true hard worker and a very passionate and emotional person at heart.. He gives his all to all that he does.. A clear headed person who has his share of fun.. I have always admired your dedication and perseverance... Wishing you all the best for all future endeavours… All the best Thalai :P
Lets begin by paying respects to the Chief Editor of Symphony. It was indeed lots of fun being a part of Symphony..Some of your best qualities that i would like to mirror is the way you clearly think and the calmness with which you tackle any situation. With your innocent face and smile, its really difficult to say when you are being sarcastic or honest. But again, i believe that is a good quality to have in oneself.. Good luck for your future and without a doubt success will be waiting for you at every point in life!!
One of the most respected guys in our batch, Srikkant is smart, intelligent, proactive and well read. His cheerful demeanour and helpful nature are admirable, and so are his presentation skills and the quality of work he churns out. Be it a case discussion or a B School competition; Srikkant is always meticulous in his preparation and his passion towards his interests is amazing. A guy who loves to learn about new things, Srikkant is a terror when he is arguing for the opposing team. His preparation, points he makes, articulation and logic of approaching the topic sweeps the argument in his favour. I have always admired the entrepreneurial spirit in him, and I wish him the very best in his future endeavours!
A very good public speaker, analytical and intelligent person. Whenever there were any competition, I would ask him first. We made significant progress whenever we did something together. My roomie, I really admire you for your writing skills.
I will always remember the song "mummy daddy i don't want arrange marriage, mummy daddy i want love marriage" which you made me listen in 1st yr. It was a fun to be with you. I wish you very best for your future and be in touch dude...
SRIKKANT...... I dont know but I love scolding him. He is probably one of the most logical guys, I have met in the campus. One of my friend, philosopher and guides. Seriously I love his arguments because most of the times they are BANG ON TARGET.
We participated in two competitions and seriously i enjoyed working in both of them. His writing skills are superb and yes you must watch him in a debate. He gets so hyper man. Now that we both will be working in the same company I'll have more opportunities to pull his legs..yayayay...!!!
Thank you so much mate for helping me out so many times and yes we will continue our DOSA lunch in Pune too..:P:P
Thala, Captain…The first leader of our batch :P. We still remember the “We are crying too” emotional attack you landed on our seniors. A very hardworking guy (one of the few who ‘analyses’ cases before classes). A very understanding friend whose childish laughter makes any serious situation light. Thala.. you keep rocking!!
The very first week i came on to the campus and trying to find company to smoke.. i found some one searching for similar company. Yea i got him who later became my best friend here.A guy with loads of enthusiasm, passion and patience. Captain the batch calls him for all the initiatives and lead he takes. A great lover of movies and books. He loves intellectual discussions and some high funda stuff. Need less to mention he is a very good writer. In all the competitions we participated i learn t a lot from him. I admire him for the decisions he takes based on intuitions which many of us cannot.
All the best dude. You have a long way to go.Donn forget to party hard :)
srikkkaaaant!! the 2 year experience with u as a groupmate was absolutely superb. everyone calls u thala, captain, leader... so i need not tell about ur leadership skills. u were very understanding to everyone in the group and especially me ( remember 1st year feelings?? ;) u got it totally wrong :P ) u were the caretaker of the group... as a friend, u will forever remain close :) all the best in life!! may all ur wishes come true!
Srikkant, first off, my apologies for making you go from being called Leader/Thala to Chitappa :) Right from the first appeal during footsteps to each of the CPs, you have always been passionate about airing your views and genuinely care if people are mistaken. This is the quality I most admire in you – you don’t even give up even if people/faculty refuse to understand. And of course, your knowledge regarding things that are related to your field of experience is just amazing. When you start jargonating, I can’t but shut up and listen.
I have been fortunate enough to know you as a person outside of class and outside of family circles and have found you to be sweet and caring and an excessive worrier. Come on, you are the Leader, there aren’t many out there to beat you! Stay smiling always and stay off things that may induce coughs during speeches :) Stay safe and all the best!
Thala, Leader, Captain - these are some of the names that i use to call him :) He earned these names very early into our IIM Shillong journey because of an epic quote from him - "We are also crying inside" :P Cometh the hour, cometh the man :D
Thala is extremely well-read and he can engage people in intellectual discussions more often than not. He makes the most awesome B-plans along with Anil - they have won numerous B-plan competitions and that tells you how awesome those B-plans are :)
Thala is otherwise a caring friend to many in his close circle of friends - tries to speak like a kid sometimes and he knows he can never be one :P
Thala is very sincere in his work - Symphony, E-cell and Group L would agree with me on this :) Suzlon has a got a steal by taking you on board - they will realise it sooner :)
Wish you all the very best in life and see you around :)
The Captain of Group L.. We really connected well. He would be the person who would finish up the task when everyone else gave up. He was also the “Captain of Capstone”. He has a great sense of maturity and responsibility.
His ideas saved us in most of the group presentations and projects. He is very gentle in his manners and has great convincing power.
Srikkant has been my fellow e-cell member for the past 2 years and I would take this opportunity to sat that this guy despite being a bit lazy person is extremely talented, soft-spoken and was fun working with. Very true to his nick-name "the captain" he do not hesitate in taking up challenges and leading from front. Wishing u a very great life ahead. Keep Smiling Always:)
My interactions with Srikkant had always been fun. There are no situations where we were not able to joke to each other. How he ‘got’ all the jokes and reciprocated them in equal measure made my interactions with him very enjoyable.
Srikkant is a very warm, slightly shy, intelligent and hard working person. He has the ability to do well in any field he enters. He could have done well back at Juniper, he could do well in the business world. But, I wish that he becomes a really successful entrepreneur for he is one of the few in the batch who is really bitten by the entrepreneurship bug.
I wish to see his entrepreneurial success as fast as possible and hope we keep in touch for a long time to come.
Srikkant bhai.... Very warm friend and really intelligent guy. Knows his priorities. I used to love to go to B 12 to have chat with Sandeep bhai (his roommate) and him. I remember the open air discussions that we used to have sometimes because of our mutual vices.
Always helpful and handy. One of those guys whom I would like to listen to when they are speaking. Speaks sense.
Srikkant was one of the earliest guys in our batch who I made friends with; the reason for that was simple - our common love for a particular vice. Over the subsequent months we've spent at IIM-S, I've shared numerous discussions with him over the smokes that we've had together - the most memorably of all would be the lovely spot we'd found near the Barracks where we could chat & smoke in peace 'far from the madding crowd' :)
Its another matter though, that had we not become friends over the aforementioned thing, he would still be hard to ignore or not be aware off - he possesses one of the most logical minds and great debating skills. The kind of points he'd raise in class, over various courses, made me come to respect him for his argumentative side, his opinions, his awareness about various fields, as well as his ability to interpolate & extrapolate. Even though his argumentative side might make one mistake him to be an angry or an ultra-serious person, but in essence he's a friendly & helpful guy who loves having a good laugh with his friends (preferably over smokes & alcohol).
Now that we'll become colleagues in a short while, I'm glad that I'll continue to be able to interact with this smoke-buddy of mine over you-know-what :)
Srikkant – The first thing I can think of is the nice smile with which he says ‘Hi Kranti’ whenever I see him :) He’s very knowledgeable… knows everything what’s going on in the world… He has awesome communication skills – writing and speaking! He could debate on any topic readily and proactively and can even scare the opponents with his speaking skills (read: a lil aggression :P) :) But there is really a softer side of him... he is very capable of taking his own case sometimes :) I can’t forget his dialogue in his own words – true translation to English: ‘In my generation, in our college we never had CDs, we used to save things in floppy drives’ :P :P Jokes apart, he’s a really sweet, friendly and innocent guy, kind, polite, cheerful and helpful always, with high amount of dedication to anything he does! His passion to excel and his excellent leadership skills will see him get to the position of CEO anyday!! Good luck Srikkant! Keep smiling :)
Sry for the extra time you had to spend in the mess all through… but I’m sure it would have contributed to your extra entertainment per day in the process :P
Srikkant was my wing-mate in the first year...a very chilled out person, he could always be found either watching movie with headphone in his ears or sleeping in 1st year...a born leader, Srikkant can naturally hold the attention of a crowd.....he simply loves dosa/uttapam and in 1st year, he could always be counted for a company to Banana Leaf...an entrepreneur at heart, Srikkant will surely rock any place he goes to..
All the very best and hope to see you achieve great heights in life..:)
Srikkant was a senior to me at Undergrad and though I hardly knew him then, has remained a senior to me here in many ways than one. I still remember this very mature, calm person talking to me before I walked up for my Placement Committee interview. A strong sense of trust and faith that he seemed to impress on someone he knew for a very short time spoke a lot of who this person was going to be over the next two years. He is someone who is very logical, mature and carries a large heart. The incident that earned him his titles ‘captain’ and ‘leader’ is so fresh and vivid in my mind.
I have looked up to Srikkant for many things. The way he is sincere on what he does and how action oriented he is. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and his knowledge levels impress me quite so much. He understands people well and offers excellent subtle advices and support when needed most. Both of us have had good discussions where we have taken opposite views and respected each other’s opinion. Many a time, when I am struggling at a decision, I would want Srikkant to endorse my view to help me decide. Though he may have a different opinion, he understands the context and plays along as a support and nothing like the confidence that it gives you when you know Srikkant thinks the same. Though we have had very few long conversations, they have been significant for one reason or the other.
Thanks Srikkant for the friend and senior you have been. I have loved our discussions and always carried a different perspective out of it. Sorry for disappointing you at TBLA. I will make up for it soon. All the very best for the career ahead! The PSG-IIM Shillong connect is something that I will pride about for a long time to come. Always be the mature, caring person that you have been and please let me know when you start your own business. Do keep in touch!
Thala (Head) … Leader…. Chitappooo ( Father’s younger brother for Sandy :D:D:D)….. This is how we used to call him. One of the most mature guys in the batch but can come up with a kiddish smile which endears him to everyone. Be it any competition, the first person with whom any one wants to do it is Srikkanth. Such is the knowledge of this guy :). Soft spoken, caring, chain smoker and avid drinker are some of his other personalities. Our favourite line for pulling his leg is “ Even I am crying in the inside dude” during footsteps to one of our seniors who asked “ Do you know how much it is hurting for us” in response to the APEX body’s dismissal :D:D:D. Such is the sensitive nature of this and one another of his multi-faceted personalities. One of the most helpful guys in the batch, Srikkanth can go to any lengths to help his comrades. But even after such a big work experience, you can see Srikkanth attend all classes that too at 9 in the morning. Come on Srikkanth.. take a break. :D. He is an amazing cricketer who is technically a sound batsman. U should ve played kopda thala. Gals would ve gone crazy over ur batting skills and “cat eyes” :D:P. Srikkanth’s presentation skills are legendary and hos way of tackling the prof’s questions is even more awesome. Stay the way u are and am sure I ll be reading about ur business ventures in the newspapers. I m sure we ll stay in touch :) Wish u all success thala. Keep rocking.
Captain and Thala .. Two words that stuck to srikkant right from his ‘we are also crying inside’ incident in footsteps :P :D!!
Throughout first-year, I had hardly talked to him. I had assumed him to be the ultra-sincere guy who actually loved to study and work hard. I couldn’t have been more wrong!!!! He is as lazy as me to start working if not more :P.. But he is certainly respected to be one who has brilliant analytical skills and can articulate things in an excellent manner. He will be the first one to shoot an opinion in our section on any topic, helping ppl like me to remain comfortably as audience throughout the lecture :D!!
He has been a good friend in the second year, and I have knocked his door many a time when I got bored.. and I am assured of a good chat every single time.. What else can be more important than that :)??
Finally, I am happy that at least in the end, he conceded to IIM Shillong being a 2-year vacation, albeit a slightly costly one :P :D!!!
