  1. The mafia of PGP 10.A brainy, down to earth guy..loves to bully but quite helpful at the same time.No doubt he keeps helping people, but the thing worth watching is the way he boasts about the same.An amazing sportsperson who is quite adept at strategizing.I am going to miss our long group gossip sessions and all the fun we have shared in these two years

Have a great life ahead... Cheers !!

  2. My Neighbour! The best thing I have liked about him is his sense of humour. He spares no one from Jayant to Sourav, from Anurag to Anshu, but everyone takes his joke with the right spirit. He is a person who can never accept things hypothetically and is not satisfied until he gets the correct logic. Business in his blood, he realizes the worth of a penny despite his riches. He can spot business opportunities anywhere. A person very frank and open – rare to find in today’s world.

A very sporting and athletic person – he was the most valuable player in the Kopda auctions. A brilliant TT player too. His knowledge in piracy and hacking is unmatchable.

    Long live the Mafia!

  3. The usual sight of Amrit is him pulling someone's leg , making fun of them in the corridor and then a booming laughter ringing in our wing.

He is very passionate about whatever he does, be it Capstone or Kopda. He analyses his cricket matches to no end and would have definitely made a bright name for himself as a cricketer :)

He's been there to rescue a lot of people, be it booking an emergency ticket back home, or fixing the arduous journey to Guwahati.

A true businessman, I am sure he is going to get unmatched success in his career.

  4. The Coal Mafia, The Entrepreneur and The Leg Puller of the batch, Amrit aka Logbag can be seen having a fun time in the corridor all day with huge laughter spreading to each and every room. I do remember when he would pull of amazing pranks on people. Sometimes he can speak a lot more than required and then he would start bullying faint-hearted with his trademark quote - 'Tu PB aa jaaio, tere ko dekhlunga'. He can be so out-right that slangs would fly from his mouth no matter who is at the other side. I also remember him always seeking advice from people and talking to people about different careers, etc.

He is as all Agarwals are....a pukka Business man and he is a pure entrepreneur by heart. I do remember pulling off the first business venture of T-shirts merchandise in the 1st year where people were given quality products [;)]. He has a passion for all sports and you can find him with immense concentration for improving and learning more. Amrit is also a Fin enthusiast and he loves to trade and make money. He would aspire to become a successful trader in future and I hope he always gets the best in life. I wish him all the best for the future and hope you stay as you are.

  5. The finance guru of Group G, Amrit is one of those people who put in their best efforts to achieve a goal they set for themselves. Whether it be the term 2 fin project, capstone or the kopda cup this year, he has been our pillar of support.
Amrit, I'm sure the future holds something great for you. Wish you all the luck and happiness :)

  7. Connect….….INSEAD, BITS Pilani, Coal mines, Don, Entrepreneur, Cricket Champ, Harish’s guruji, Saket’s roommate, Vinoth’s partner (in dance, what were u dirty minds thinking? :P)…… AMRIT aka Coal Mafia.
A guy whose meal isn’t complete without having pulled someone’s leg but he ensures that everyone’s troubles are at bay once he comes to know of them. ( I have been a prey to his teasing many a times :)) Be it booking tickets at the last minute, arranging for accommodation in Guwahati at short notice or getting details about journey to a place in and around Shillong he’ll go out of his way to help people.
His love for fin and Quant is known to all and his trading skills are great. He was never into commodity trading but once he ventured into it he has earned a lot of profit right Amrit? (do share some of your gains with your FE study group mates :P what say Vivek?? )
His enterprising spirit will surely help him in all his future endeavours. Wish you luck! :)

  10. Beware of this guy!! If he is not fighting with you, he is pulling your legs. If he is fighting with you, then don't even think of going to PB. His favorite past-time is to send friend request to girls on facebook. Girls drool over him online.

He has a great fondness for Domino's pizza. So much so that he can feel the effect even 2 days after. He possesses awesome convincing powers. Not even the mighty Chingu could resist his calls for treat.

For all his mischievousness, he has a heart of gold. Not even his worst victims have any grudges with him. There are few people with whom who you can both laugh with and also share your sorrows. He is one of them. His friendship is one of the most treasured gifts which IIM Shillong has given to me.

All the best for your life, dear!!

  11. A dearest friend. You can love him, you can hate him, but you cannot ignore him. Need I say more. Amrit thanks for being their always and thanks for the endless laughter sessions.
    You will be missed.
    Keep Rocking as always!!

  13. Every time he sees me in mess, he asks 'Ragini..How r u??' and I know for sure, the next ten minutes he is gonna take my case. But trust me Amrit, I enjoy every bit of bakar that v do in the mess :) Extremely smart and witty. Ensures people around him are happy. I have heard a lot from Harish about how you used to slog for the gr8 G group with 3 studs and 1 Pcommer :) and I would never ever forget how much I laughed for the famous dance that you and Vinoth did. To sum up, he is a good cricketer, a great entertainer and an awesome friend to a lot of people. I will see you someday in Forbes India cover page :) Have a gr8 life ahead!!

  14. I remember having this discussion with someone that people who have a huge business bakground but still have the urge to do something on their own are the ones who are the most successful in their lives. I hope you know what I mean :) I see a hugely bright career in front of you.
You come across as a very helpful and fun-loving person. Not everyone is blessed with the art of humbleness and I hope you never lose it :)
Keep smiling humesha :) Miss me :P

  15. Amrit Bhai...The person whom I undoubtedly talked the most my entire first year. We met the very first day because he lived just opposite to my room. And the BITS-Pilani and INSEAD connection with my brother gave us a lot to talk to. And then the Group G. I must say he has been the most hard working member of our Group because he usually got the tasks which no one else wanted to do, which involved only analysis and hard work and no bakar (as he is incapable of bakar in papers) and had to do the maximum work in projects like QT and Finance.

This guy is an extremely extremely nice hearted person. He has hundreds of reasons to showoff, the Marwari Dude that he is, but have never seen him doing it. I remember every night just before sleeping, I would go to his room just for 2 mins to talk and then the talks went on till 4/5/6 in the morning when we had classes from 9. Our talks ranged from StudC to PC to politics to business to Marwari/Sindhi families to girls to campus gossips and what not. Most of the times I also ended up giving him gyaan to remain optimistic.

I am yet to visit him at Guwahati and I guess one of the few of his friends who have not been to his place. He has been really helpful to everyone who needed him anytime 365*24*7. However, mafia type image he has made of himself, he is really good from his heart and I doubt whenever he told "PB AAjaiyo...dekh lunga"" to anyone, he would actually mean to kill him :P :P

Bhai...I have learned a lot from you and I really cherish our talks a lot. Wish you all the best in life...and tere se to touch mein rahunga hi main...So no issues :)

  16. Amrit bhai...don...coal mafia. kaha se shuruaat karu yaar. I still remember the first day i met you during registration. I immediately knew what an awesome person you are and I understood that I have got a friend for life.

I think IIMS would have been completely boring without you. I think I used to stay in yours and saket's room more then my own room. Being with you means completely tension free moments of life. I believe you had a major contribution towards my choosing to stay in India. I remember times in first year when we you used to study in your room till 5 am or do accounting cases till 6 am in your room.

I regret being rude to you some times and I believe that i was really stupid and I apologize for that. I always felt very tension free as I knew that I had this one guy who would always stand with me in adverse situations.

I highly respect how down-to-earth you have been even with the kind of business you have. I have learnt so much about people and life from you that nobody would ever tell. I confess that i have learnt things from you that no college can teach.

Your mess sessions with people were like laughter sessions where people learnt to laugh on themselves. I think defeating you in TT would be a dream come true for me. You have been a tremendous confidence booster for me and Finwinz for which I may not be able to thank you enough.

All I can say is that I started the journey with him and what I got is a "Friend for Life".

Amrit I can't tell how much indebted I am to you and I just want you to know that I am at your service at all times and am just one call away....:)

  17. Mafia of the batch, he sure does have the aura to pull it off. Except that people would feel good after what he has done for them. A very helpful guy who makes his presence felt anytime anyplace. Has an excellent sense of timing. Before u could give a counter to his one liner, he would ve gone to the next comment and it would be impossible to reply back. A north east rock star who has the looks to be an all India movie star :D:D He bowls fiery spells at the same speed at which he hits u with his rib tickling comments. An awesome cricketer .
One of my fondest memories was the Guwahati trip in which u made us feel at home. The ORIGINAL “aalu parathas” and the even warmer hospitality his family showed us. It was awesome fun. Macha I seriously wanted to learn Hindi just to comment back to ur one liners :P. U tried hard to teach me and Harish Hindi and were my swear words tutor :D.
He never loses his cool even during crisis situations. Remember Harish’s trip back home in October . And yeah the (in)famous Paper dance.:D:D. Embarrasing to the core, it was the only event where we won in PDP :D. Guess we got carried away a “bit”. Keep rocking always. Stay in touch macha. U ll have an awesome business career just like Capstone ahead of you.

  18. AMRIT AGARWAL ( MAFIA, DON..Jyada bhav mat do saleko)... He always makes fun of me ( If you dont believe this then go n talk to vulnerable targets such as Alok Agarwal) and I tried a number of times to counter attack but unfortunately was never successful..That's the sad part of it. May be i need to learn this art from him.

He loves playing ( Almost all types GAMES such as cricket, TT, Badminton etc..:P). I guess he should be a trader. He knows a lot about trading and loves visiting moneycontrol.com. He had no interest in writing exams!!! He loves to give GPLs irrespective of caste, color, creed etc..

A very helpful guy who you can trust and ye CROREPATI banke hi rahega..In the long run he should do business..

    ATB dude..:):) Keep in touch!!

  19. One hyperactive, spontaneous, jovial guy with a great sense of humour. Always seen spreading happiness, entertaining himself and the people around him with his extraordinary statements… Personal experience – believe me, even the people at the receiving end of these statements (“the victims”) enjoy them as much!! :) You sit with him in the mess... and you are ensured to laugh to your heart’s content by the end of the meal. Very demanding and commanding! (Typical Don type characteristics :P) And the demands so specific, he wouldn’t compromise for anything with slight differences..!! Good at sports… It’s so much fun to see him doing the self-praising act whenever he plays a good shot in TT :P (Sry Amrit! All my mistake… I’ll make sure to motivate you next time onwards… Definitely! :)) He’s really helpful and kind when needed (aur uske andar daya to koot koot ke bhari hai :D) One of the best when it comes to analytical skills and practical executions… It was great knowing you Amrit… Hope you reach the pinnacles of success in whatever you take up! :)

  20. Amrit, my BITSian junior, was one of the first people I knew well on the campus. Amrit is a really helpful person and has a really good sense of humour and always keeps his company entertained.

We were somehow shuffled off into different wings in both the years here, but I feel staying wingies could have made us much closer friends.

There are other things too, like the fact that Amrit is very intelligent. He could have done well anywhere and I am sure he will do so.

@Amrit: Even if you are kind of depressed about your career right now, I am sure you will do shine.

  21. This guy is always ahead in pulling legs. Fun-lover and a person with a very casual approach towards life. He would not take tension under any situation. A fellow E-Cell member with whom it was fun working..Keep the spirits high and success will follow. Keep Smiling always :)

  22. A man with a rough outward appearance but a really golden heart...

You have made many people smile on this campus and for brief moments when they are with you everyone feels relieved of their tensions. Keep up your spirits and you will definitely make it big...

  23. Amrit is one of the most cheerful persons in the batch. Always brings laughter when he's around. He is a fellow BITSian, always relaxed and chill. His bowling can make the batsman's life hell. This guy likes to play pranks and am also a victim of these pranks :D:D. Known by Don or Coal Mafia amongst us, he is always accompanied by his Chhota Don Saket. His company was really awesome in these two years and I wish him all the best for the future. Keep in touch!!!

  25. We hardly talked the whole of the first year Amrit and these past few months, ever since I realised that you are awesome fun to talk to, I have regretted not having made an effort earlier. You are a riot and on the cricket field, your interest and talent is evident. Do retain that streak of passion and humour in life and am sure you will go places! Cheers and all the best!

  26. Amrit, the cricketer, the fin expert, the hacker, the don, the bully :) He certainly had a lot of roles to play during his 2 yr stay here.. But whatever he did, it always used to bring laughter to most of our faces here.. He is such a fun- loving and jovial person..one person who will definitely make all your meals memorable if you are sitting besides him,, only if you save yourself from falling a prey to his any of the mischiefs that he keeps playing..I haven't been spared though,,I have even lost the count of times when he has teased me for my weight :)
However mischievous he may be, but he is a great person at heat, always ready to go out of the way and help others..I am sure that will do very well for his business!! Wishing you lots of luck!!!

  27. Amrit - the coal mafia - an extremely talented cricketer :) He's someone who will evoke laughter instantly :) He's fun to talk to and his guru-sishya sessions with Harish on Hindi teaching are the best of its kind :D

The lasting memory of Amrit would be the dance that he performed with Vinoth in a PDP session - we got our PDP's group's only prize that day :D PDP sessions were always fun with Amrit around :)

If you are in Guwahati, Amrit is someone who will take good care of you. Very few people can do that so effortlessly in their hometowns and Amrit is certainly one of them :)

Wish you have a successful career ahead and see you around :)

  28. Amrit, the entrepreneur cum designer--designed his house, his sense of humour is hard to catch up with. A smart, intellligent as well as a caring person, he could sit for hours to help people out and nor crib or get fed up. Always ready to welcome people to his place and treat them with such honour is something that is extremely rare in a person. A personality in his own, he is sincere, dedicated, never leaves a chance to pull someones leg and extremely sporting. Have wonderful memories with you, right from all our shillong-guwahati trips to studying and chatting nonsensical stuff with you. I hope our friendship is not limited to Shillong and one day even when you become the next Ambani/Narayan Murthy do not forget old friends like me. Wish you loads of luck for all your future endeavours.

  29. Amrit revisited: my last post was a rather short one. so I thought it's important that I visit this page again.
Amrit n me hit it off the first day we met here. during these two years, he is one of the guys with whom I have interacted the most. from playing tt, to going out, to having long chats, discussing studies to placements, we have shared a lot among us. you can have a heart to heart chat with him, and he would respond and give you the best advice. he is fun to be around, and would crack jokes all the time. he always looks for preys , and is quite witty. he is also technically very sound. you need to buy a gadget, be it a mobile, a camera, a loptop, or a car, he is the man to contact for expert advice. he is also very good with stats and quants. I just admire his passion for such things. it's also amazing to see him handle family business sitting here. we have had innumerable laughter sessions, and still never get tired of it. I sometimes wonder, why I didn't meet him earlier.
A very talented and a very enterprising character, very mature, this guy has a lot of potential, and I am sure he would very soon make a mark, be it in business or in the corporate world. I hope to see you as a billionaire soon. And please don't forget us then.
A very friend whom you would want to keep very close and who can be there when you want him to, Amrit, this one is for you.
It was lovely knowing you, and hope to keep our friendship as vibrant as ever.
    Wishing you all the best!!!!
Keep Rocking and Keep spreading the smiles!!!
