The most sincere person in the campus…Writes every exam till the invigilator snatches the paper away from him :) How do u do it dude? :P I have always admired his self control and dedication.. Heights!!! Apart from that he is generally a calm and a soft-spoken person. I am sure your hard work is gonna take you to places.. ATB :)
Among the most sincere, hardworking people around; I have been fortunate to experience at first hand these quality as a group member in the few marketing subjects I took.
A great mimicry artist, I still remember his take of a certain professor during Oral Communication class skit and it was a pleasure to share the 'stage' with him. I also had the pleasure to share the stage again during the Sales Management role-plays, where he astounded the audience with his performance.
He is also among the most enthusiastic people in the campus. As against participating in competitions to add CV points, he participates for the joy of it - that I experienced while participating with him even after he had got placed.
Hope to stay in touch with you Subhankar. All the Best :)
Padhi as he is better known, would be remembered for his legendary mimicry of everyone on campus be it faculties or friends. Yeah he is one of the most sincere students you would find on campus. His determination and confidence can surprise you especially when he can lose 15kgs over a month or two. He is one of the proactive persons on campus and he takes part in every competition put up on D2C. This guy is a big Time Manager and is disciplined when it comes to academics. A very fun loving guy cracking jokes all round the day.
He shares a strong camaraderie for the pretty ladies on campus - be it our senior batch, our batch or junior batch. He definitely knows how to use all the online chat tools to venture into beautiful territories [:)]. Be it an invite to dance or for a treat at Subway, Padhi is always game for good company. Padhi is a big foodie as well and he enjoys low calorie food a lot. He enjoys the company of our Odia Fraternity where talks could go on incessantly.
Padhi is one of my closest friends and I can say this guy can show you how sheer determination can achieve you anything. I know him since my 12th class and I can say (from the fact that I knew less about him), he hasn't changed at all. He is ambitious in life and he can aspire huge things which would amaze you. I wish him a very successful career ahead and hope he gets a simple and understanding partner (Padhi's own thoughts) in future.
Chintu- That’s who I know him as. A friend whom I have known since our childhood and truly one of the most sincere persons I have ever met. This guy can labour for 3 different assignments, 2 competitions and his club work on the same day and yet manage to keep his sanity! Apart from being one of the best speakers I have seen at the college, his simplicity and thoughtfulness for every single thing he comes across are the traits which stand out for a special mention. His transformation in the second year from being called astronaut Rakesh Sharma to being perhaps the fittest guy in the batch is an inspiration for all who want to believe that will power can help achieve wonders. On the lighter side, he’s a pain when it comes to eating now-a- days and gives me hour long lectures as soon as he sees a packet of chips in my hand (Grr.). Of course his knack of completing assignments beforehand and letting me get “inspired” from them compensates for all that :) . I have known him for almost 13 years now and can tell with utmost confidence that he are bound to succeed in all personal and professional endeavours. My best wishes to him for them. Cheers!
Superb, amazing, brilliant, dedicated, awesome, incredible are some of the adjectives that can be very well used before 'Padhi'. Its always fun to spend time with him. He spares no competition unattempted and I wonder what would happen to B-School competitions once he passes out this year. He is a mimicry guru and can immitate people better than they themselves.. I especially love his 'LAJJO' act. He is very conscious about his weight and would stop eating completely if he feels he is overweight.... Yes he can survive only on water ;) Will surely miss the time I had spent with him... All the best 'Steely Padhi' ;)
A great mimicry artist...his presence is an asset to any group...one of the smartest guys in the batch...he is very smooth with the fairer sex and probably the most eligible bachelor of Super 93...his knowledge about almost everything is amazing...a great marketer...he has all that it takes to be a very successful person...
A hardworking and sincere guy who gives as much importance to the time he spends in the gym as to his studies.. his self control and dedication to fitness has really created quite a buzz in college :P… a soft spoken guy and one of paras’ boys :P.. Have a great life :) :)
Padhi, the bakar master..the weight loss champ.. one the founders of the oriya club.. and yes, the one who is always preferred by some of our friends ;) mimickry expert yes..hardworking yes.. a good friend yes.. an annoying group mate also yes :).Jokes apart, honestly u r a nice guy who works without any complaints.. it was great having you as a member of the M group..your simplicity and sincerity towards everything will take you leaps and bounds.. good luck and do keep in touch
Learn the meaning of dedication and passion from this guy. He is simply awesome, be it his jokes, his mimicry or his 3 hr gym sessions. One of the most hard working and responsible guys of the batch. You will always like his company. His work in Eco-Biz is really appreciable. He is the man behind the success of a lot of B-School events. Man, I really admire and appreciate your never say die attitude. It's been a pleasure knowing you and having you as a friend. Keep Rocking and Keep smiling always.
Subhankar is the epitome of sincerity and dedication, and this guy has proved time and again that there is nothing that hard work and passion can’t achieve. He is a guy who is enthu about everything- from cases to competitions to Ecobiz to gym to treks. He is an extrovert, and he has taught many in IIM Shillong the meaning of discipline. His mimicry skills are wonderful, and he has managed to have our whole batch in splits during his performances. He is known for maximum bakar during class presentations, and his love for good food (though that aspect has undergone serious change in the last year).I have no doubt that his hard-working attitude, proactiveness and dedication will take him a long way in life. All the best :)
Subhankar is a great person to work with. A person with great disposition, he is a leader by himself. For such a multi-talented personality, I wish him all the very best for his future endeavours.
Subhankar Padhi- or just Padhi as he is more known, first thing you will notice about him is his confidence.... Working with him on some projects, have to say- the guy can approach anyone and talk them into most things... a Fitness freak, he is damn conscious about food he eats and his exercises.... He is hard-working, is confident- and an amazing guy to hang out with.... Hope to remain in touch mate- and Best of Luck for Future...
Mr. Padhi happens to be one of my very good friends right from day one. He has always been hard working, sincere and dedicated in whatever assignment he takes up, be it studies, participating in competitions or Salsa/ Jive. ..( I can go on and on writing about his activities…:P:P). People like me only know how much effort he has put in for EcoBiz club and seriously it’s difficult to match his enthusiasm. He is very good at mimicry and that’s something I can never forget. I know I have made fun of him on numerous occasions because of his association with some of the high profile girls in the campus but that’s only because he always takes it in the right spirit and seriously he has got a very good sense of humour. For that matter I would like to apologize in this forum (Hope he is happy now) and please, I can’t guarantee that I won’t make fun of you in the future ( I hope he doesn’t scold). And food (Only Chicken items) is something we both love to eat and our endless discussions about any topic will always be memorable.
Thank you so much buddy for helping me out on number of occasions and no matter whether you keep in touch with me or not, I’ll always be in touch with you.
A specimen who epitomizes the maxim - No Gain without pain...be it competitions, love life, his physique. Everything you see associated with him has a story to tell - of sweat, hours at gym, limitless time spent on chat. He is the Sherlock Holmes who has investigated into the lives of all mortals & their "alliances" here at IIM Shillong and beyond! The tools at his disposal and his many attempts at forging long lasting relationships is surely an inspiration for the distressed! He is humble and sweet enough to please people around him by losing matches..a true Baazigar! But a brilliantly talented guy and was a pleasure to interact with you :) Paddi ki Gaddi hamesha chalegi...slow ho ya fast..u r simply jhakaaas!!!!
The stud Padhi…. A very enthusiastic guy who takes up responsibilities and does them well. He’s cool and composed in all situations and expertly pulls paras’s leg without her realising it. He has the ability to finish of whole families of chicken during our regular group M treats but Gyms it off madly till the treadmill cracks with exhaustion. A true man of steel. Have a great professional and personal life…ATB
Padhi....Diet King :p. A very friendly guy who cracks jokes all the time and makes every one laugh. Loves to gym and eat healthy :). I think thread mill of IIM Shillong would remember him more than any one else. Fun apart, a very serious guy who submits every assignment with perfection in time. I enjoyed his company in lots of parties and outings in IIM Shillong.I have worked with him in some of the competitions and i really loved the dedication he has to complete with perfection. Miss you guys for the all the parties and nice time we had :)
If ever we had to choose a brand ambassador for the Hostel Committee it will be Padhi...he has shown even with limited gym facility and awesome food we serve, one can get in perfect shape and maintain it. A very eloquent speaker whose ability to speak on any topic amazes me; I still remember the presentation you gave on behalf of PDN’s group along with her...
Having worked with him in the same group I can vouch for the fact that his dedication and sincerity is unmatched and when he is around there is no dearth of funny moments.
You are born to bring “Parivartan” (in a good way) where ever you go...may you achieve everything you desire for...stay connected !!
Subhankar may come across as a nerd, someone serious and stuck up enough to do all pre-reads, pre-references, pre-preparation, pre-note taking and what not when people first see him. He will come to class with a tucked in t-shirt and a strand of hair not out of place. If you are inclined to judge him like that, then play some music before judging. Recently toned muscles will relax, he will break into steps and that is when he seems the most comfortable and happy, a spring in his step and a girl in his arms. Have really enjoyed our interactions in class and giving the impression that I live by a timetable :) Remember to take a break after every 3 hours of working and no one can beat you Subhankar! All the very best for your future!
Padhi or Chintu, is quite popular among both the batches (obv among fairer sex :P) after his toned muscles. I have worked him very closely both as a Study Group member and also as a part of ECoBiZ club and I can say that I have never seen anyone so dedicated and passionate towards work.
He is one of the guys who actively participates in class discussion because he was one of the few people who pre-read everything (even awake till 4 am to complete it :P)
He is an extrovert and bakar master and can speak on anything non-stop. He always exceeded the allotted time in every presentation. His little weakness is that he gets little emotional after few rounds of shots ;)
He is always on time and also takes on the responsibilities very well. He is a good salsa dancer and has given opportunities to many people to have dance with him.
He is a wonderful speaker and I can still recall the speech he gave in OBC. But above all he is a wonderful friend of mine and very helping, caring n kind in nature. He is quite humorous and it wouldn't be fair if I do not mention about his mimicry skills..a super talented and can mimic anyone..your class performance was just amazing.
I know you will be very successful wherever you go with this personality of yours.
I met Padhi for the first time in Kolkata for IMT Ghaziabad’s GD/PI in April 2010. He was completely prepared and had a diary in which he had noted down almost everything. I really liked his extent of preparation and that too he travelled from Pune to Kolkata just for the interview.
I have seen the same vigour in this guy right from Day 1 and that continues till today. A firm believer in himself he gives a damn about the world has to say. He takes up everything so seriously, competitions, burning calories, EcoBiZ, tt and what not. His work out in the gym is famous on campus. He has very strong will power and can control himself very well to achieve whatever he wants.
He is a very jovial guy who can win anyone’s heart with his humour. His mimicry is awesome. We had so much fun with it in these two years.
Subhankar has two distinctly contrasting personalities residing in him. On one hand he's an extremely sincere, hardworking, disciplined & dedicated students of our batch. In 1st year he used to sleep for only 3 hours in the night so that he could do all the pre-reads - in fact, he used to be the only guy in our section to have done all the pre-reads for subjects like HRM & SEEB!!!
But then, as I mentioned earlier, Padhi has a diametrically opposite person in him as well. And that side of his is the wacky, humorous & fun-loving Subhankar. You'll always find a mischievous smile attached to his face. He loves pulling people's legs. His mimicry of our faculty as well as batchmates are always hilarious, leaving everyone laughing like hell.
And yes, there's a third side of his too - the pro-active & social activist Padhi who is busy trying to save our planet & its inhabitants from their imminent destruction. He tried to be a 'change agent' with his Parivartan movement, but when that didn't take off he immediately conceptualized the Eco-Biz Club which specializes in 'Bamboo' :D
I'm sure these three facets about Shubhankar will help him do really well in his life - both professionally & personally.
Padhi- the Parivartan guy realized off-late that is it difficult to do a parivartan in the batch and took up the task of transforming himself. And his dedication and commitment brought out amazing results also. Full of zeal and enthutiasm, Padhi is best known for his DP skills in class and the awesome mimicry he can do. He takes studies very seriously and exams very religiously. Expert in bakar, most of the times this guy will need extra sheets in exams. Don't know how he can be so passionate about writing. But indeed a very hard-working person who deserves the best. Wishing u a great life ahead. Keep SMiling Always :)
From having the most voracious appetite in the batch of 93 to giving it all up and going on a crash diet, his self-control has amazed me. He has a deep appreciation and understanding of the Indian culture. His knowledge about Hindu scriptures, deities, and the two epics – Mahabharata and Ramyana is immaculate. I’ve loved conversing with him on these topics and have learnt a lot from him. He spends a lot of time studying each and every subject and loves it too. A great sports, loves playing TT and has an open challenge ready for me. He’s a big fan of b-school competitions and never lets go an opportunity to take part in an event. His observation powers are exemplary which have translated into him mimicking each and everybody to complete perfection. He’s entertained us quite often with his brilliant acts. Your determination is sure to take you places! Cheers!
"Bhai..tun theek hai naa bhai" this kind of haryanvi dialogue we used to have when we used to meet. Possess great observational skills. Does suberb mimicry. Planned and organised. Person with lots of self control.
Bhai tun 'Bhaiyon ka bhai' hai bhai !!! Be in touch man!
Subhankar has been one of the guys who impressed me a lot. He has an amazing confidence that can take him places. I remember him sending mails on google threads about changing things. Me and Harish would take it upon us to pull his legs. That was how my affinity for his GPL started. His mimicry during the bonfire was what floored me completely and am sure if u had tried hard, u could have swept the girl of your choice off her feet ( You know who :P).The subhankar of that time and today are a stark contrast. Now am proud that am a good friend of his. Ezo biz’s idea of bamboo dustbins was a master stroke. Subhankar, from a bulky and CHUBBY :P guy to a handsome hunk has been a revelation. He is a gym freak who followed a strict diet to tone down his body and has become an inspiration for guys like me trying to slim down :D. He has become so level headed and never showed attitude. He is wise beyond his years and am sure he ll progress to great heights in his career :) wishing you all success in life. Cheers.
Padhi is one big personality in this wing. Everything of his from his dressing, to his walking, to his style and attitude stands out. He is one dashing guy on campus and every girls dream. Is on a sort of mission as of now to become more sustainable for the future and so taken to the gym in a big way.
Is a very sincere and honest person who takes his work too passionately and has been an initiator of sorts for all his committee activities. Someone who carries out all his tasks with utmost dedication.
Padhi will always remind me of his 'Parivartan' - a sincere and hardworking guy :) He is the best mimicry artist i have seen in my life so far :) The amount of time he spends in the gym makes me jealous of him - he has reduced a lot of weight in a matter of few months - respect _/\_
He and Chingu have put in a lot of work for Ecobiz and he's takes a lot of pride in his work for the club - gets angry when someone makes fun of it :)
Hope you have a great life ahead and hope to see you around :)
Subhankar's imitation of people, the way they speak/talk/walk, is probably the first thing that comes to my mind about him. I remember the number of times we made him do his 'performances' for us outside the audi in first year. It's unbelievable how he notices the smallest things about people, and manages to perfect them like its his own! I will also remember him for his crazy diets that make him lose 16 kgs in 2 months, the determination that makes his get through those diets, all the DP he's so famous for, and of course, the hardworking and sincere person he is. I'm sure he'll go places with that kind of perseverance.
The most sincere person in the campus…Writes every exam till the invigilator snatches the paper away from him :) How do u do it dude? :P I have always admired his self control and dedication.. ReplyDeleteHe has a deep appreciation and understanding of the Indian culture.
ReplyDeleteBhai tun 'Bhaiyon ka bhai' hai bhai !!!
Cheers.
ReplyDeleteSustainable Padhi
ReplyDeletePadhi is one big personality in this wing.
An absolute delight to know you.
Cheers!!!
ReplyDeleteHe and Chingu have put in a lot of work for Ecobiz and he's takes a lot of pride in his work for the club - gets angry when someone makes fun of it :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you the very best in life! :)
